SHOULD I FLEE?

Isabel felt like a criminal who was about to receive a verdict, her heart was high up in the sky. All kinds of weird thoughts were just running through her head.

They were still walking through the hallways when isabel suddenly stopped and bent down.

'Wait, what if i make a mistake and the king and queen were not pleased with it, will they punish me, Like locking me up Or worse, whip me'. She started comparing her current situation to the movies she had watched, it only worsened the matter. 'Aish.. Have i unknowingly walked into the Lion's den?' Her face turned pale.

Aliana was patiently watching her display....

"Can you tell me about the King and Queen". she wanted a little information about the one's she's going to meet.

Aliana sighed and also bent down,facing her.

"Hmm, The King's name is LEONARD LYNCH, he... he is good" Aliana laughed nervously, but isabel could tell that there was more to it, then she probed "But?"

"Nothing" Aliana scratched her head. "just be of your best behavior". Isabel could get the meaning behind her word. She shouldn't get on his bad side.

"The Queen's name is ALICIA LYNCH ALSTONE, Am sure you will love her once you see her, she is super cool" Aliana said in a delighted tone.

That word calmed her down a bit, at least she's not meeting with an evil queen. That boosted her confidence a bit.

They both stood up and continued walking towards the dining hall.

She halted her steps when Aliana stopped walking, there was a double door right in front of them.

There were two guards in front of the door, they both bowed to her.

"Wait". Isabel quickly stopped them when they were about to open the door, she wasn't ready.

The guards both looked at themselves in confusion, but halted.

She suddenly dragged Aliana,making her stay at her front.

Aliana tried to move away,but isabel stopped her.

"Just stay there, please".She looked over Aliana and gestured for the guards to open the door.

The guards were trying their best not to laugh, they moved to open the door.

Ever so slowly, isabel moved her head to peek,

She flinched and quickly hid back behind Aliana when she saw the Prince, he was staring intently at her.

Her heartbeat quickened, she looked at her back 'Should i flee?'. Before she could even move her body, Aliana had moved away from her,exposing her to the large dining hall.

Her eyes went round like a saucer, she looked at Aliana with her bulging eyes, but Aliana wasn't even looking at her, her head was bowed low.

Not knowing what to do, she stood rooted where she was, visibly shaking. if only the ground could open it's mouth and swallow her.

Her ears perked up when she heard a footstep, someone was walking towards her.

She looked up when the person stopped in front of her.

She pouted her lips sullenly when she saw that it was the Prince. he didn't mention anything about having breakfast with his parents, he had just left to call Aliana. She felt wronged, this was her first time dealing with stuffs like this, she still hadn't brought herself to believe that she had gotten married. And now she's meeting with the said Father&Mother in law, what was she supposed to do.

Derrek could feel her distress, he thought maybe it was too early for her to meet his parents, he should have probably asked her first. Realizing his mistake,he could only rub the nape of his neck.

His mother was too eager to talk to her, and he couldn't do anything to stop her, she always had her way around everything.

He stretched his hand to hold her shaking hands, but got surprised when his wife suddenly crashed into his arms,burying her face on his chest.

Although he wasn't expecting her to willingly come into his arms, he wrapped his arms around her waist,stroking her back gently, the gesture warmed his heart.

"My love". The word rolled out of his mouth naturally, which startled Isabel.

Her head snapped up,looking at the prince with her round eyes, 'Huh!, Did i hear it wrong?'. Did the prince just use that endearment for her. I must have heard it wrong,she concluded.

She felt all the heat rushing to her face when the prince held her gaze, his deep blue eyes was staring right into hers, and she couldn't look away, she was drawn into those beautiful eyes.

Surprisingly, she was no longer nervous,being in the prince arms had helped her calm her nerves, 'Weird' she thought. She barely knows the prince, they had just met, But why does it feel like they had known each other for long.
