Journey

Elen quickly changed in her hunting clothes and went straight back to the chambers to see Alex twirling an object on his hand, she scrutinized him carefully, and with the look he held on his face, he was thinking something serious, and it bothered her. Could he also sense what she was feeling?

"Shh, quiet now," he turned to look at her with a small smirk on his lips and her heart skipped a bit with the way he looked at her, a small blush crept on her face as she turned away, walking towards the door but Alex was quick to grab hold of her hands.

"Where do you think you're going?" he asked with a smile on his face and Elen was quick to glare at him when she saw his face move closer to hers. He chuckled lightly while he placed his hands on her hair, as if picking something out.

"Relax, there's something stuck on your hair," he said and Elen felt her face turn hot.

"W-we should go," she quickly said and he caught her wrist, and brought it up to his lips. Gently kissing it. Elen melted under his touch as she could feel something in between her legs. She tried so hard not to think nasty things but it was hard with him being so close to her.

He slowly places his lips on hers and Elen could feel her knees turn weak and something tingling in between her legs. She slightly crouched her knees but Alex was quick to hold her from falling.

"No resistance," he chuckled, amused by the actions he elicited from her.

"One would hardly keep their composure with you being this close," she replied back with short breaths.

"Like what?" he asked as if oblivious by their closeness.

"A-a-lex we ne-," her words were cut short as he delved his tongue in hers and Elen couldn't help but give in. She couldn't hold for too long and she craved his touch, she craved him. She wanted him to do those things to her, she wanted more.

"So shameless," she heard him say, pulling away from their kiss and she glared at him.

"We need to fix this," she said lowly while she forcefully let herself out if his hold.

Not wasting another second, she walked out of their chambers and Alex stood chuckling at her cute reaction but his smile faded when he recalled the strong energy he felt from her when he had kissed her. There was something that was off about her, and he needed to find his answers.

Leaving the chambers, he saw Robert on his way to their chambers and he raised his brows.

"Shouldn't you be with the princess, Robert?"

"Forgive me your highness but Lucas and the others are with her. I have come to give you important information, which is also disturbing."

"Go on," he said with a calm expression on his face.

"We've not heard a word from Bruce, and we've been unable to track him down," he said and Alex rolled his eyes.

"If that is what you're worried about, you shouldn't cause Bruce is probably getting himself some entertainment.

Robert wanted to say more but he was restricted and ye pursed his lips.

"I heard you have found someone you are overly in love with," Alex said, changing the topic with an evil smirk on her face.

"What l-love?"

"You know what I mean, found her?" he asked in a calm voice and Robert shook his head.

"It's strange how she left and it left an effect, I haven't found her." He explained.

"It's bait, quit the search," Alex deadpanned and Robert shook his head with a bitter smile on his face.

"I can't even if I wanted to your highness," he bowed and Alex clicked his tongue.

"You'd be coming with us today,"

"Got it your highness," he bowed before walking away from there to prepare the horses.

"Did I make you wait too long?" Alex wrapped his arms around his wife as he kissed her temple gently.

"It's fine, I guess you had unfinished business?" she asked and he gave a smile.

"Such an intelligent wife I have," he said loudly and Elen wondered if he had no shame left in him.

"We would be riding on horses, I guess that shouldn't be a problem?" He asked her and she nodded.

"It's fine, besides I love riding horses."

They kept on conversing till Robert mounted his horse and they heard it neigh. They both moved their gaze to his direction and saw him awkwardly smile.

"The horses are ready your highness,"

They mounted the horses and started with their journey. Elen had no idea where they were going but she could feel her stomach churn, it was easy to guess that she would find a big revelation.

Taking a deep breath, she kicked her horse lightly and the journey began.
