Just as long as cheating is not involved.” “You will do anything I want?” Mark probed, his eyes glittering as he focused on her. He now seemed more interested in her promise than in whatever it was she wanted from him. “Yes, I give you my word.” Mark stared into her eyes and seeing how desperate she was, he leaned back into his seat and tapped his fingers on the table. “Careful what you promise, Darling, I’m not a good boy.” “I don’t care,” Elena replied with determination in her eyes. “I’m not a good girl either.” ----- Official commissioned cover by Artist Laylee: @Laylee_hiu Contact me on Instagram: @authorpaschalinelily For firsthand Announcements, join my discord server: https://discord.gg/GywPN7X

Which Woman Can Resist Him?

Elena hadn't bothered to ask Mark how he got to know her address because it was unnecessary.

There were some kinds of questions that didn't need to be thrown at wealthy people. Information would be at the tip of their fingers if they just threw a few bundles around.

If Mark could find her workplace and her phone number without her help, her home address would be a piece of cake for him.

6:03 PM…

Elena stepped into the elevator and pressed the number to the last floor before taking three steps back.

A puff of air was released from her lips as she clutched her purse with her gaze fixed on the door. Being the only one in the enclosed space, she could feel the light pounding of her heart in her chest.

She was going out with Mark Wang who was waiting below her apartment building. Her nerves were a little tense.

Elena had to rely on one of her yoga breathing techniques until the elevator got to the ground floor. Taking one last deep breath, she stepped out of the elevator and made her way out of the building complex.

Her eyes searched the car park area until she spotted the man leaning against the trunk of a black sports car. 'How can a tall person fit in that small car?' was Elena's first thought before it dawned on her that the expensive car in question could only belong to Mark.

Thankfully, the day was still bright. As she made her way towards the man she recognized, his outfit became visible in her sight.

Mark was putting on a maroon body-hug turtle neck long-sleeve top under his black suit jacket without buttons.

As her gaze fell on his feet, she noticed the shiny Burgundy Davor Milano leather monk strap shoes that matched his inner top.

Elena thought that Mark could easily win the award for the best dressed for the night.

The man was so stylish. And as if his outfit was not enough to compliment his looks, she had to notice the rich curls of his head pulled up at the centre in a messy bun.

Mark Wang was handsome, and he screamed a quality sex appeal. Which woman could resist him?

As Elena neared, she couldn't help noticing the smile on Mark's face as he removed the sunshades from his eyes.

"Good evening, Elena," Mark greeted as he leaned away from his car.

"Good evening…" Elena trailed, unsure of how to address him.

"Mark," Mark helped out with a smile that reached his eyes.

"Mark," Elena repeated with a nod, relieved that he had closed the distance between them.

Mark took in her look for the night before shifting his gaze back to her face. "You look beautiful tonight, Elena."

"Thank you for the compliment."

"My pleasure," Mark smiled and made his way to the passenger side of the car before pulling the door open. Then he gestured for her to get in.

Elena let her gaze trail the exterior of the fabulous Bugatti Chiron until she got to his side. Murmuring a word of thanks under her breath, she climbed inside.

Mark closed the door and walked over to the driver's side and helped himself in. While grabbing his seat belt, he noticed that Elena had already secured her own right as he was about to remind her of it.

He smiled as he turned on the car before driving out of the environment.

"What kind of songs do you like?" He asked while fumbling with the cd player.

"Soul music," Elena answered with her gaze ahead, but the interior of the car was so beautiful and irresistible for her not to steal many glances which Mark caught from the corner of his eyes.

He couldn't help smiling in amusement. But as her answer came, he shook his head.

He didn't know why everyone around him was talking about 'soul' today. Earlier, his brother had brought him food for his soul, and now, he was going to listen to Soul Music.

What an interesting day.

A few minutes into the car ride, Mark skipped asking Elena the reason someone like her would be fond of that type of music and directly went straight to asking about her day.

"How was your first day at work?"

"Normal," she answered, a little distracted by the beautiful view outside. She couldn't get over how much she had missed the impressive capital city.

"Are you comfortable?" Mark asked as he caught her shifting on her seat.

"Very." Elena gave a one-word response as she retracted her gaze from the buildings and placed a hand on the clutch sitting on her thighs.

With the nice fragrance eluding her nostrils, the AC sending a wave of cool air to her body and the soft cushion her back was resting against, it was hard not to be comfortable.

Silence fell in the car.

It was only until Mark was pulling the car in front of a popular club where the young socialites in the city hung out on most evenings that Elena spoke again.

"Is there anything you would like me to note?"

Hearing that question, Mark tilted his head to the side as the corners of his lips rose amicably. "If you are uncomfortable, you must tell me immediately."

Elena stared silently at him for a few moments before nodding in agreement. "Okay." As soon as she replied, their doors were lifted from outside.

Mark retreated his gaze and unclasped his seatbelt before picking up his phone. He stepped out and let the valet take over before going over to the other side to meet Elena who was looking around nervously.

"The people here can only bark at worst," he said, assuring her of her safety just as she turned to meet his gaze. "Anyone that would dare to touch you wants to be locked behind bars."

Hearing that, Elena wanted to remind him of the woman that dared to drug him two nights ago. The words were already at the tip of her tongue when she saw his eyes shining brightly.

Mark must have known her thoughts for him to smile like that hence, she swallowed her thoughts and let him lead the way inside the exclusive club.
