The market was a riot of colors and sounds, the air thick with the scent of fresh produce and baked goods. It was the kind of place that Rosemary would have loved, and for a moment, I could see her there, her eyes sparkling with delight as she took in the sights and sounds.

But the Rosemary I remembered was merely a memory, a ghost of the past. The woman I had just spoken to was a stranger. She was stronger, more assertive, and seemingly content with her life. She had moved on, and seeing her in that light made me realize just how much I had lost.

"Are you alright, Sir?" Roxanne asked, her brows furrowed in concern. 

I managed a weak smile, my gaze still locked on the spot where Rosemary had stood just moments ago. "Yes, I'm fine."
