Roseline's POV

As I came out in the hall I spotted Vincenzo lost in his own thoughts. I thought that he must be busy with his phone but I was surprised to find him waiting for me.

As the aroma of the dish reached him, he turned his head. He must have smelled the food – his senses are sharp. I walked up to him and put the freshly cooked lasagna in front of him.

I chose to sit at an arm's length from him, wanting to keep my distance. I won't be able to help myself if he starts his ministrations again. But before I knew it, he grabbed my wrist, surprised me, and pulled me towards himself which landed me directly on his lap.
