Caught in an awkward situation

Vincenzo's POV

I looked after her the whole night while she slept. In the morning the doctor discharged her and I asked him to take her blood samples again because it was the toughest task to bring her to the hospital for the test.

Back at home, we went to our room. I guided her to sit on the bed while I excused myself to my study. There, I needed to go through the documents again to understand more about Rose's past and her age.

My mind was preoccupied with thoughts of Rose's past and the traumatic event that had caused her pyrophobia.

She was 9 when I lost her and according to that, she must be 24 at the current day. The realization weighed heavily on my heart, knowing that I had lost so many precious years with her, the days that I could have cherished with her.
