Chapter 15 To see him naked

"What do you mean by nothing happened?" asked Lisa, getting comfortable in her seat.

"Exactly that. I went to the bathroom to get all ready and by the time I came back, he was sleeping," she explained.

"Ohhh..okay. He might have been tired," stated Lisa.

"I guess so," replied Yan Mei and a while later she asked," But tell me Lisa. Do you honestly think that I am attractive?"

"Of course you are! How can you even ask that? You are very attractive. So beautiful Yan Mei," she replied.

"I don't know. It's just that sometimes, I don't know what to think. I mean Wang Lu didn't look at me even once and now, Zhang Yu didn't touch me," she said worriedly.

"Listen. You should never doubt yourself because you are absolutely gorgeous. And perhaps you can't compare the two men because they are totally different. Mr Zhang must have been tired or even, he might have decided to give you time and do it when you are ready. Do you understand?"

Yan Mei nodded at the words and her eyes fell on Lisa's neck where the scarf she had had loosened.

"Talking about last night, it seems like you were pretty busy," she said. "Huh? Why's that?" asked Lisa confused.

"I'm talking about the marks on your neck," Yan Mei elaborated.

"Ohh!" she gasped and she hurriedly tied back the scarf.

"I-It's nothing like that. I think I should get going," added Lisa getting up. "Why so fast? It makes me wonder who the mysterious guy is that you're hiding from us," said Yan Mei curiously.

"There's no one. You know my things Mei Mei. I am not into relationships," she said sitting back.

Yan Mei took her time looking at her and after she said,"You are hiding something."

But before Lisa could talk back, Yan Mei's phone rang and she got it.

"Zhang Yu," she mumbled looking at it.

"Oh. Answer it," urged Lisa and she picked it up. Taking a deep breath, she spoke," Hello?" "Are you still at work?" came his deep voice. "Yes." "Alright. I got done with the things that needed my attention and I thought to call and see if you are busy," he said calmly. "Uh, kind of. A lot has been going on at work," she replied. "It's fine I understand. I will also remain at work and finish with some other things," she heard him say.

"Okay I get," she replied. "Alright then I will call you later," he said before hanging up.

"What did he say?" asked Lisa the moment the call ended. "Nothing. He just wanted to know if I was busy." "And you said yes?" she asked and she nodded.

"Uhhh, you're so boring," commented Lisa Shen. "The truth is I am busy. And I know that he is busy too. I wouldn't want him to abandon his work because of me," she said.

"Fine. I will take my leave too since you are very busy."

When it clocked four later in the afternoon, Yan Mei stopped with whatever she was doing and she prepared to leave. She planned to go home early such that she could prepare dinner.

She first went to the grocery store and got some groceries and a number of ingredients. Reaching her new home, she parked and spent a few minutes in the car, looking at the huge house.

"Welcome back Ma'am," the housekeeper greeted her the moment she saw her enter through the main door and she came to get the bags she was carrying but she told her that it was okay and that she will take care of it.

Heading to the kitchen, Yan Mei looked around before walking towards the fridge. On Opening it, she found it stocked with various groceries and she realized that she didn't have to buy any. After stuffing in what she had bought, she got an apron and put it on when she spotted dishes on the kitchen counter. Walking towards them, she opened the covers and a sweet aroma struck her nostrils. They were about seven dishes and they all looked to be delicious. It seems like the housekeeper had cooked already.

Realizing that there was no point in cooking, she removed the apron and headed towards the bedroom so that she could freshen up before Zhang Yu gets back home.

But on opening the door, she gasped on seeing Zhang Yu who was wiping his body with a towel and she quickly closed the door.

Standing outside the room, she leaned against the wall and placed her palm on her chest, where her heart was racing.

She hadn't expected him to be home already and much less, to see him naked.

"Oh my God," she mumbled as she burried her face in her palms.

A while later, the door opened and Yan Mei stood straight immediately. She saw him come out dressed in black pants and a casual blue shirt.

"You can come in," he said and later, she nodded.

"I am so sorry. I-I really didn't mean to walk in like that. I thought you were not yet back home," she said not daring to meet his gaze.

He lightly chuckled before saying," There's nothing to be sorry about. We are married and that is very normal."

"Uh yes," she replied and looked at him. "When did you come back?" she asked.

"Some time back," he replied before adding," I will be in the study in case you need anything." She nodded at the words and she watched him leave.

After bathing, Yan Mei went through her clothes and she wondered if she should get dressed in one of the clothes they just bought with Lisa and Lei Zhi. But then, they were too revealing and she feared that Zhang Yu might get the wrong idea. In the end, she decided not to wear any of them, and she wore a black T- shirt and grey sweater pants.

Not having what to do at the moment, she laid on the bed and got her phone before opening the internet.
