1 Little Beggar

In a filthy, smelly, and impossibly dark alley of Tiger Valley City, sat inconspicuous little child. He looked to be five years old with mud covering all his body, from his feet to head. He was wearing tattered rags, that even dogs would not use as their sleeping place.

He was extremely thin and looked as if a small gust of wind could end his life. Nonetheless if one were to look carefully then they would surly find that if he was to be cleansed from all the mud and filth that accumulated on his body, he would surely shock the world. His black, long hair that swayed on the breeze in the alley, his chiseled face, his sharp eyebrows resembling that of the edge of a sword, his red lips that could mesmerize any female, but mos importantly his deep green eyes, that felt as if they were bottomless abyss.

But no one was able to tell that this little boys eyes are raging with fire of determination, determination so firm that it could put to shame even Celestial Gods. His will was the only thing that kept him alive for the last three years of his life. It was something that should have never appeared on a body of such a small child who in his first years should be naive and innocent. At that moment the child was starving. he couldn't find anything to eat since a week, and for water, he drank from the puddles of rainwater.

Autumn was coming and with it more and more rains, at least he didn't have to worry about a lack of water. The child was currently lost in thoughts. His eyebrows knitted tightly as if pondering over a decision that would affect the rest of his life. He sat in this alley since morning, and it was getting late already. It meant he was already thinking all day. When the sun was about to completely disappear, the boy suddenly moved. He raised his head to look at the sky, nodded as if confirming his choice with someone and got up. He then slowly started to walk out of the alley in a wobbly manner. He walked out of the alley and started to look around as if in search of something or someone. His gaze suddenly lit up and he started walking again. He was still wobbly and from tome to time, he would grab his belly and grimace. He walked for a hundred meters with his head hung down, when suddenly he felt an impact an something violently threw him on the ground. He looked up and saw man with a cart filled with bread. The cart was now overturned and bread was all over. The man was in his 30-is and looked really ugly. You could say hideous.

His face that was full of scars and wrinkles was now completely red from anger when he looked at the child that just bumped into his cart. His eyes which now turned completely red from the rage that was boiling in him due to the accident resembled that of the most dangerous and poisonous of snakes. "What do YOU think you are doing bumping into people. Look you just destroyed all cart's worth of bread. What are..." but before he could end his berating, people around suddenly started to snach the bread that just fell on the road. The man trying to stop them from stealing all of his bread didn't even see that the culprit was long gone. Minutes later the city guards appeared and started calming situation, beating and arresting people. When the man found out thet the child was missing it was already too late. In another dark alley crouched a small figure wrapping couple of objects in a layer of cloth. If anyone were to be close enough, they would hear his mutterings. "Time to put it to an end, today I am leaving this city and try to find my own way to live. My fate will be tightly locked in my own hands, nobody can rob me off it..."

An hour later when the city gates were about to be closed a small figure with a bundle on his back walked out on the road followed by strange and surprised gazes of the city guards who could not fathom how such a small brat had the guts to walk out of the city alone. One had to know that the outside world wasn't some kind of playground. It was dangerous, terrifying world filled with magic monsters, core monsters, and a whole lot of others even more powerful creatures. In short, it was not the world for a little kid to explore. The child could feel the strange gazes shooting at him from the soldiers but he could not care less. Now, his life was only his. He already made the decision to go out there in the world to seek his path, to seek a way for him to live, and no one could change his decision.

He will follow this path even if it had to bring him death, he could not care less about such bullshit. When the city walls disappeared from his eyes he suddenly felt an indescribable emotion well up in him. It was strange, foreign and complicated. It was excitement, freedom, fear, nervousness, anxiousness, these were all the emotions that he thought had already long died in him. He finally knew. That the decision that he made today, the decision that would change his destiny, the decision that would probably bring him death. Was the correct one.
