Chapter 43

Amanda and Mike entered the store where they have booked their clothes for the wedding and the person in charge of getting them ready came to meet them midway, she greeted them with smiles and lead them in to try the dress.
Amanda dropped her bag on the seat looking exhausted from going places with Mike for the wedding, she is feeling quite excited about the whole wedding planning but Mike is making things hard.
He keep picking things Amanda doesn't like and wants everything to go his way and when it's time to pay, he always have an excuse to give.
Amanda wanted them to use a gold wedding ring but he wants diamond and couldn't pay for them
Amanda sighed as she follow another lady inside and she helped her to get into the dress, she sit to get her make-up done.
Wanting to get a simple make-up, Amanda was done in about thirty minutes and asked the lady if she can leave and she nodded her head in affirmation.
Amanda stood up and went to look for Mike so she can show him her dress.
She came back to the first section and saw a sign that says for the gents and entered, she opened her mouth to call his name but stopped when she saw him in the hand of the lady who went with him earlier
Amanda is shocked and stepped back slowly to avoid being seen then she placed her ears near the cotton to hear what they are saying
"So how are you going to get the money?" The lady asked grinning as he touch her laps
"The same way I got it the first time, she wouldn't want her fiance to be in debt and not help out" he answered nonchalantly
"By letting her sleep with her boss again? Are you really okay with that?"
"What's the big deal? As long as it fetches us some money and besides, I have you" he replied and tickle her which made her laugh out loud
"And what excuse are you going to use this time, you shouldn't use the same thing"
"Yes, am thinking about it but can't seems to find an effective one to use so am going with investment. She is too dumb to catch on" he replied and kissed her, the kiss continue for a few seconds before they stopped
"I think she should be done by now, let's go" she told him but Mike was reluctant to stand up
"Can we do a short one before leaving, I have been starved for a while now" he grumbled and pull her back into his arms with his hand trying to take off her clothes and soon remove her shirt and pull down her skirt a bit..
Amanda turned and left unable to watch the rest of their act so she returned back to the room she was earlier and saw the girl packing up the table and asked her to give her some privacy and she left without a question
Amanda quickly sink into a chair before she loses her balance and collapse, she removed the veil on her head and let tears flow freely from her face but tries not to make a sound although not totally.
What she just saw really scattered her and she feels used and stupid, how could she not reason that whatever story Mike told her about his debt was a lie and to think that he is even cheating on her with someone supposed to be planning their wedding for them
What pained her most is the fact that he knows she had to have sex with her boss to get the money but he pretended not to and act like nothing is wrong, "how could I not notice when he just took the money without asking where I got it from?" Amanda thought and held her head in pain
He doesn't even love her and just wants to use her to get money before disappearing, no wonder he was getting all the expensive things, so he can sell them and leave her empty
Amanda cleaned her face and put some makeup on to cover her face before Mike gets back, Mike came to the door and knock gently then opened the door
Amanda stood up and tried to hide her emotions so he won't catch on then walks towards him with a fake smile lingering in the corner of her mouth
Mike not noticing anything start to comment on her dress and how beautiful she looks, he held her and make her turn around in the dress for him to check it out, if she hasn't discovered what she just did then she will still be feeling guilty about her relationship with Josh and try to make him happy but now she doesn't care.
Amanda stopped him and move away, then asked to leave to attend to an emergency but Mike disagree
"To stay longer with her" Amanda though but didn't give in to him this time and Mike is quite surprised at her attitude.
He agreed with no choice and they remove the clothes without taking pictures then left
Amanda turned her face the other way as he drive without saying a word to him.
After her family encounter with some danger in their investment and their car suddenly run into another car on their way to resolve the problem, Amanda's family except herself lost their lives in the accident and Mike's family and himself were the only one who reach out to her and helped her from living a life of debt and trouble
They helped to pay a huge amount of the debt and send her to school although she had to work for them at one of their stores, after a few years Mike returned back and spending a little time together he told her he likes her and asked her to be his girlfriend.
Amanda agreed because she has liked him for a long time too although they didn't see for a long time and also she feels indebted to him and his parents so they start to date and she slowly start to like him again.
After graduating from the college with scholarship, Amanda pays off the remaining debt she is owing his family but they reject it and as for her relationship with Mike, it was fine all through but she doesn't feel the happiness she should during their time together although she likes him for caring and doting on her always and they maintained a long distance relationship most times
When he appeared at her doorstep beaten up by some unknown men, she was sacred and quickly took him in then he explained that he owe them some money.
Amanda didn't believe that he will owe anyone that kind of money but when he told her about his family current situation, she kind of believed it.
Amanda has left the house for long so she did everything possible to get the money but couldn't and Mike was almost killed the next time so she decide to try what other girl do, sleep with a rich man
The only person around her is Josh and she hesitated before approaching him. She knows what she gave him is not enough for the money she got but not wanting to betray Mike anymore she had to stop or maybe it was because of her growing feelings and how he treated her during those short period.
Mike proposed to her few days after getting the money, he must want to use that to make her trust him…
After crying earlier, Amanda somehow feels relieved about her unfaithfulness with Josh and since he knows then their marriage and relationship will be a joke.
