Chapter 28
Laura couldn't concentrate on the movie and paused it then she went to her room pacing around the room restlessly.
After trying everything to calm down and get in a good mood to no avail, she called Clara not to worry about bringing the file and took a coat then went out of the house
She drove to the office thinking to get some work done but she knows she her mind is disturbed right now and she might not be able to do any work correctly so she decide to go to Ella's house but she isn't home
She took her phone to check who she can call and spend time with and saw Avan's number, she hesitated before clicking on it and calling him.
He pick up the phone on the third ring and Laura heard his deep voice come on the phone
"Laura!" he said sounding like he is excited to get her call
"Hey, where are you at?" she asked in a low voice
"Am at my usual bar, are you okay?" he asked concerned by her tone
"Yeah, I will join you soon" she told him and cut the call then start to drive towards the location of the bar

Chris got back home late and called out to Laura but she wasn't home, he pull off his shoes and pick his phone to call his dad.
He asked if his mum is alright and check on things at their end before ending the call and going into the bathroom to take a shower
He went back downstairs and noticed the Television on and turn it off, he took a bottle of drink in the fridge and drank to his heart content then sat down to wait for Laura so he could talk with her, he called her but its unreachable
He has been looking for a time to discuss things with her but they were both busy and he doesn't know how to bring it to her about what he find on Avan and Clara
He continue to wait for another one hour and got anxious about where she is at that time, he bought out his phone to call her number again, just then he heard the sound of a car pulling up and rush outside knowing it's Laura.
He came out happy that she is back but he saw that it's Avan's car and he came to drop her which means the both of them were together till this moment.
Chris's happy face changed to a sour look
Avan walk over to the other side of the car and opened the door for Laura then he hugged her goodnight before leaving, she stayed till his car leaves before turning to the house and saw Chris staring at her with his hands in his pocket looking really upset
Laura ignores him and walk pass him inside not minding his looks and he followed after her, she continue to her room but Chris stopped her and held her wrist tightly
"What was that about?" he questioned sternly but Laura gave him an angry look and he let go slowly
"Where are you coming from so late at night with a man?" he asked again still standing in her way
"How was your marriage meeting? Did things go well or did you already set a date for the wedding?" she also queried in a fist of anger
"What are you talking about? Did you drink with him?" he asked confused
"Am just congratulating you in advance" she said and made to leave but he held her back again
"Am asking why you were with Avan drinking?"
"Did your other wife rejects you so you are here to disturb me" she replied angrily
"What other wife?"
"Two women lives in this house remember? You should go to her already" hearing her words, Chris sensed that he must have upset her and he decide to calm down and find out what the issue is
"What is wrong? Let's talk" he said but she fling his hand away from hers
"That's none of your concern and I have nothing to discuss with you, I will give you your freedom papers tomorrow" she said and push him out of the way then went into her room and locked the door after her.
Chris stood surprised by her words and also confused by what she meant, he went back to turn off the television and also went to his room determined to talk with her tomorrow.

Clara waited for Avan for a long time in her house but he didn't come back, she was angry and break a few things around her.
How can he leave her for Laura after everything they have together, he left just because of a little quarrel and went out to the bar
Clara went to meet him after Laura told her not to worry about the file and was flabbergasted to see Laura with him and the two of them seems to be having a great time together. She hid herself and text him but he ignore her text
She went back home to wait for him but it's been three hours and he's still not back, she had thoughts on what they could be doing together and the thought of him touching another woman apart from her makes her really angry and she start to break more things
Clara tried his number one more time and he picked the call. She dropped the item she was about to break in her hand and pretend to be okay so he won't suspect anything
"Are you done just now?" she asked trying to sound normal
"Yes, I had to stay with her and take her back home. Am tired so I can't come over today. I will see you tomorrow then" he said and cut the call before she could say a word and Clara dropped her phone frustrated and extremely angry
"Why does he have to stay with her after breaking up with her?!" she screamed furiously
"And what is Chris even doing?!" she screamed again and something dropped to her brain
"Yes Chris, he has a lover" she thought and quickly pick her phone to contact someone
"Send me Miss Mira's number right now" she ordered the other person and soon her phone beeped for a message notification and she dialed Mira's number. The phone was answered immediately
"Who is this?" Mira's asked
"Am Clara, Miss Laura secretary" she answered then smirk wickedly
"I have something to disclose to you about her and her ex boyfriend's relationship"
"Am all ears" Mira said….

Laura woke up early and finished dressing up before seven in the mornig she already text Ella to meet with her so they can hang out before going to work and plan to meet her before eight
Laura wore a short sleeve blue and black colored dress then she tie her hair in a messy bun and put on a low heel shoes and took a white bag then comes out of her room holding a file in the other hand
She walk to the refrigerator and prepared some tea for herself, she drank the whole content and cleaned the cup then placed it back properly and she dropped the file in her hand in a visible place for Chris before leaving the house
