Thunder rumbled in the darkening skies, fueling the tense atmosphere in what was supposed to be a happy union between the two packs.

I clenched my hands into fists, breaking away from Alpha Matteo's tight grip on me. My heart was racing, my pulse pounding, and my skin burning with the rage that threatened to erupt right before the curious and furious crowd.

I wanted to scream and defend myself against Alpha Matteo's accusations. No one else knew the truth but me, him, and his beta.

But I knew Oliver would always take Alpha Matteo's side. It was my word against theirs.

Still, I turned to my father, hoping for his understanding.

"She's a whore!" Elsie screamed, lunging for me with claws out. Her mother unwillingly held her back, whispering something in her ears while considering their audience.

I ignored them, focusing on pleading with father alpha who looked disappointed, mad, and ashamed.
