Karma (part 3)

The next morning, Maria woke up to an empty bed. It took a few minutes before details of the previous night began to register in her head. Vincenzo had comforted her to sleep and she had managed to sleep peacefully for another night with Vincenzo at her side. However he was nowhere to be found now. She felt disappointed that he sneaked out of her room and house without her notice again.She understood him though. He had just found out his mother was a murderer, it was only fair he took out time to dwell upon that. She took a long shower and when she was done, felt a need to eat. Everytime Vincenzo was around her appetite magically opened up. She shook her head at such silly thoughts and proceeded down the stairs.

"Marie!" Ursula screamed immediately she came down.

"Princess" she replied with a smile.
