1 Meekness of Childhood

It's winter and my father had just left for London, he promised me stories and pictures and a lot of the white man's chocolate at least that he used to escape, I cried from the house to the terminal as he boarded the train, I watched the doors close and the train went away, little by little gaining speed in that moment I realised how far he would really be from me, my name is Olisa and I am only child, my father worked as a journalist and has now travelled to further his education

I asked my mother one day, I said to her "Will the train run from here to London? " and she replied "only ships see the shores of London, trains cannot travel except the tracks are provided"

My father's desires to further his education was fostered by his mother being a nurse during the world war, he always wanted me to be a teacher of mathematics and always teased I would win the Nobel Prize. My father was an optimistic and optitive person his thoughts were always wide and wild his desire to study in London was no different.
