Chapter 6

Jordan and Danny started playing catch with Danny's football. The girls cheered them off. While Mike slept in his tent. He was still very tired. It had become the afternoon. The sky had turned from a grey fog to a crisp blue sky.

Birds chirped like it was a disney movie. As As Sarah watched a memory came back into her brain. It was when she was 8 years old. It was one of the only good memories she had with her dad.

They stood in the backyard. They threw the football back and forth. In that memory she was laughing and giggling. Most of the other memories were of her father beating her mother. A bunch of bad memories of her father flooded into her brain like a parasite.

She remembered that when she was 5 he had pushed her down the stairs when she was pregnant. The baby had died. Then she remembered the worst day of her life.

She was 9 at the time. It was a dark night. A brutal thunderstorm had shaken the town. Her dad had snapped over something she couldn't quite remember. Next thing she knew he attacked her mom with a kitchen knife. She had broken a beer bottle and stabbed him with it out of fear.

He had died from the stab wound. His last words were, "I'll be back and I will kill Sarah I will make you regret ever fighting back you bitch." Then he stopped breathing. She had sobbed that day.

Jenny broke her concentration. "Hey are you okay?" She forced a fake smile.

"Yeah I just zoned out."

"Oh okay." Mike slept he was having a nightmare. It was of him taking a shower. The curtain ripped open it was his dad. He looked decayed skin was falling off. Worms crawled out of his mouth.

"Son get out of the woods if you dont you wont make it out alive!" "You and you're friends will get picked off one by one like it's a slasher movie!" "Get out!" Mike woke up sweating. He heard the cheering outside. He had forgotten about the ominous warning. He decided to go outside and see what was going on.
