"ouch!" poor Zi jiayi yelled as he was smacked on his head.

"mother! what did I do?! why did you hit my head?"

"didn't I just ask you to call your brother? what are you still doing playing video games?"

"I called him a while back and he still repeated that he was going to come" He replied aggressive

"then go help aunty li set the tables, you're no longer a kid you can help around the house, your mates have jobs of their own"

Zi jiayi knew his mother was passing out her frustration on him but there was nothing he could do than leave his precious games and do what she had asked

'didn't I say I wanted to become a professional video game competitor but what did you guys say, now you're telling me to have a job of my own' he grumbled in his head as he left

as if she heard what he had thought, she yelled after his leaving figure "playing video games is not a job"

"aunty Zi" Lui shenhui voice rang out in the sitting room

The elderly woman turned and saw Lui shenhui following the head bulter, a flinting frown flashes past her eyes but she contained it and an elegant smile appeared on her face.

"shenhui, you're here"

"Yes aunty Zi, father thought it would be nice if I came to say hello to you and Uncle, I hope aunty Zi doesn't mind" her voice was gentle and her words respectful, if it had been other rich elderly women she was talking to they would definitely want such a daughter-in-law for themselves.

but for unknown reasons Jia Lin has never really liked the sweet and cordial girl standing before her. she always felt that Lui shenhui smile and gentleness was all fake, but this was her husband's friends daughter so she couldn't act too distant with her right?

"I definitely wouldn't mind, quick come in" she ushered Lui shenhui into the house

"aunty Zi I made something for you I hope you like it" just like her father suggested she had picked her latest designed Chinese elderly women Qipao that was yet to be launched as a gift for madam Zi.

"wow, it's very beautiful, you really did a nice work shenhui" Jia Lin was a truthful woman so even if she didn't like Lui shenhui, she still complimented the dress truthfully.

"I'm glad aunty Zi likes it, I didn't know what kind of style aunty Zi would like that's why I designed something retro for aunty, I was afraid it wouldn't meet aunty Zi taste" Lui shenhui replied elegantly with a polite smile, she was clearly lying through her teeth because that dress would have been in the market the next week if her father hadn't told her to gift something to madam Zi yet her words sounded so gracious that you wouldn't tell if she was lying or saying the truth

"you really did a good job and I like it" Jia Lin complimented her once more then handed the dress to one of the servant to take it to her room

"aunty what about brother yichen?" she finally was able to ask the question on her mind

"he is on his way, he just hasn't arrived yet. Let's head to the dinning table I'm sure the dishes have been set already" She gave a perfunctory answer to Lui shenhui question and led to the dinner

The family dinner began with six people seated at the large dinning table; Master Zi, madam Zi, Zi jiayi and his two favorite twin cousins Zi huifang and Zi huiqing then Lui shenhui.

at first Lui shenhui was feeling odd as she was the only non-family member at the dinner but then Jin fengju arrived too so she felt at ease a little.

"fengju you've grown so much since I last saw you" Master Zi complimented the fine young man.

Zi chunming and General Jin were best of friends so it was understandable for him to know Jin fengju. besides Jin fengju was always following Zi yichen and his twin sister around when they were little, so the Zi family had always treated him as their children childhood friend

Jin fengju chuckled warmly

"aunty how have you been?" he turned to face Jia Lin

"I'm very much good" she replied then continued "you no longer look like that timid Jin fengju that's would always get bullied by Yichen stern face, look you're all grown up now" as she said she felt very sad within herself, she had always known that Zi Liling like the Jin boy and because of that Zi yichen would always bully the boy anytime he came around, she found it funny and even secretly thought the two might end up together but that idiot just had to disappear from home

"aunty what about Liling has she come back home yet?" frosty asked what he had come to know. He knew no matter how Zi yichen was trying to hide his sister from him, he still won't be able to stop her from coming to see her parents so he agreed to come but it seems Zi Liling had not come home either.

Jia Lin sighed regretfully "that child is not ready to come home yet but yichen says she's fine so I don't have to worry too much"

"sister seem to enjoying the outside world more, oh I wish I was her" Zi jiayi commented which earned him a glare from both his father and mother

Jin fengju frowned but didn't say anything else, it seemed like it was only Zi yichen who knew his sister's whereabouts

"ma'am it seems first master is back" the head butler announced to Jia Lin and her face lit up

He really came!

"quick! go and usher him in" she urged the old man

Everyone sat still looking at the door expecting to see the cold aloof Zi yichen walk into the dinning room, but surprisingly not only did they see him somewhat smiling but he was also holding a young lady's hand!

"father mother" Zi yichen greeted casually

"Good evening Sir, Good evening ma" Lu yao yin greeted politely but not in a fawning manner the way Lui shenhui would

"Good evening dear, quick come and sit, the food is almost cold" Jia Lin was the first to reply, the formally gloomy expression was not replaced with a bright and smiling face but how couldn't she be smiling when she finally got to see her son and on that she saw him smiling, something he hasn't done in years

Zi yichen took a seat next to his brother and Lu yao yin sat next to him.

"Yichen won't you introduced your friend to us?" madam Zi couldn't help but ask, she needed to know the angel that had accompanied her son, the girl was so beautiful and her composure was dignified.

"My Friend" He gave a short reply

"...?" everybody had three black lines above their head, they wondered what kind of introduction that was, he didn't even say anything her name

"nice to meet you Madam Zi, my name is Lu yao yin" Lu yao yin did him the courtesy of introducing herself by herself

"Lu yao yin? why does that name sound familiar?" Master Zi was the one who spoke now, he remembers hearing the name a couple of times but can't recollect where he heard it from

"She's the CEO of DxD Corp," Zi yichen gave him a reply

"really?"

surprise surfaced Master Zi's face and that of his wife, they couldn't believe that the beautiful young lady seated before them was the rumored fierce and capable CEO of DxD,

Lu yao yin nodded politely.

"That's amazing! you're such a young lady but you hold immense capabilities, I'm a bit envious of your prowess" Master Zi complimented her heartily, he had discussed this young ladies business capacity many times with his peer not knowing that she was this young

"I'm not that capable I'm merely lucky" she replied truthfully, she has always felt that no matter how much capabilities she had it would have all been useless if she wasn't lucky enough for Kun xiabei to adopt her

Jia Lin grew fond of the young girl before her when she heard the young girls words

"you're such a smart young lady, capable and very beautiful too" Jia Lin complimented her

Lu yao yin chuckled then joked "I'm only beautiful cause Lucy Chan did my makeup, she should be the you're praising"

while everyone laughed to her joke, Lui shenhui attention settled on the name Lucy Chan

now she knew why she was suddenly denied of her reservation. It was all because of this b*tch!

this b*tch was becoming her Rival in everything! not only did she take her position in Zi yichen life but even her reservations was hijacked by her!
