Murder!

The meal ended harmoniously. Everybody left the dinning room and walked back to the living room. there were a few servant gathered at the living room watching something going on in the TV

"what are you all doing here? isn't there no chores to do?" Zi chunming asked.

"sorry sir"

they apologized and scatter to their various post. as they had dispersed, the TV screen could now be clearly seen. on the screen it looked like an incident had happened, a screen was crowded with police cars and an ambulance. A group of police men were blocking of the area with the 'Do not cross line' tape

"what Happened?" Madam Zi asked curiously as they settled in.

"it looks like there was an accident" Zi chunming answered but with an doubtful tone.

There was a car that was been searched by some police men, it had a huge dent at one of the sides and most of the glasses were broken. Shards of broken glass laid everywhere around the car.

"It's not an accident, It's a Murder" Zi yichen cold voice rang into everyone ears startling them

Murder!

they were surprised to hear this. No body commented as they all watched on trying to see if he was right. True enough a few minutes later a girls dead body was brought out from one of the abandoned building by some police men and a group of Emergency workers.

"after long hours of search, the body of Chi liyu the daughter of Minister Chi has been found. Chi liyu has been Miss since the late hours of yesterday night, after she..." the reporter kept talking on the screen but no one was listening anymore as they had heard the details already.

"what Minister Chi daughter is dead?" Lui mingrui exclaimed

"this is shocking" Jia Lin said with a shocked expression on her face.

no one expected that Minister Chi daughter would suddenly be murdered out of the blue. plus from the way the forensic department narrated the scene, it clearly showed that whosoever had killed her had a deep grudge with her.

What could the lovely young lady have done to warrant her untimely death? Who could even have been bold enough to commit such a hideous crime?

They all began talking about the issue and after a while Zi chunming and Lui mingrui decided to pay a visit to Minister Chi since they were quite close to him, The culprit had not been found and the police were still carrying out their investigation so they thought it okay to see the mourning father and then throw in a few comforting words.

Either it was out of fear or out of a dubious thought but Lui mingrui had refused to take Lui shenhui along and had specifically asked Zi yichen to watch over her and keep her company.

"You seem scarce nowadays" Lui shenhui summoned courage to start up a conversation with Zi yichen after only the two of them was left in the living room.

"hmm" he gave a one syllable answer.

maybe because he had replied her, she felt bold enough to keep the conversation going "why? you look bothered, is it about the incidences?"

Zi yichen kept quiet but his lips turned up into a wry smirk.

"the whole issue might be disheartening but still you shouldn't let it weigh you down, Lu yao yin must have found a way out from the mess so you don't need to be worried_" He cut her off

"Things would definitely work out the way they should so why should I be worried" He said coolly then excused himself to go and meet his mother.

Lui shenhui watched him walk away and felt like a feather was fluttering in her little heart. although he didn't sound too friendly with her, she could tell that his attitude towards her had changed a bit.

Zi yichen left Lui shenhui and went to see his mother, he knew she must have invited him because she had something to discuss with him, he didn't even need to think about it to know she was worried about Lu yao yin and wanted to make sure she was okay after all the reoccurring incidence

just as he had discerned, as he walked into her knitting room she immediately pulled him to sit down and began interrogating him.

"where is yao yin? why didn't you bring her with you?"

Zi yichen smiled and said "she's at home, she's decided not to come with me"

when Jia Lin heard this she sighed regretfully, she thought Lu yao yin was feeling bad because of the accusations that was why she had refused to come.

"poor child, she must be feeling bad" she sighed.

"yichen you must treat yao yin well okay?, she's such a lovely young lady but they making her out to be so vile, I know it must be hard for her tsk tsk, I feel so bad for her" she seemed to be talking to Zi yichen but more or less was talking to herself. Her face was filled with concern and regret, one could tell that everything she was saying was coming from her heart.

"Yichen I see you care for her so make sure she doesn't face any harm, she's just a frail young lady so make sure no one bullies her okay?"

Zi yichen calmly replied her "mom there no need to fuss around, you really don't need to tell me all these things. She's my girlfriend if I don't take care of her then who will"

Jia Lin eyes shot open, she was surprised and at the same time happy to hear that the two of them were finally dating, she thought it would be a long time before it would happen but it seems Zi yichen was actually capable to woo the Young lady.

Her face beamed with smiles and it was so glaring that the news had greatly elated her.

"good that's good"

"mum I have something to do so I'll take my leave" He stood up to leave but she called him back.

she opened one of the closet in the room and carried out a medium size box from it, she walked to him and handed him the box.

"here have it. I initially wasn't going to give it to you now cause I thought you wouldn't need it but it seems I was wrong. it's for the both of you"

Zi yichen collected the box and bade her farewell, he didn't need to ask what was in the box cause it was already easy to tell it's content.

Lui shenhui saw him when he left the room and walked out of the house, she wanted to see him off to his car but she dismissed the thought and only watched him from the door as he got into his car and drove out of the compound.

She was still smiling and reminiscing the memorious event of today and how good everything was for her when her phone began buzzing with a familiar ringtone. once she heard the ringtone she at once knew who it was, this ringtone was set for one person and that person alone

Lu shenqi!

Her smile froze and her countenance chilled. she pretended to be looking at the scenery round the house and made her way to the glass house at the courtyard at the back of the house.

"what is it?! haven't I told you not to call me anyhow, this better be good or else!" she exclaimed angrily in whispers.

"mi...miss Lui" Lu shenqi voice was constantly shaking over the phone, she couldn't bring herself to calm down

Lui shenhui frowned and she also started being anxious, she knew whatever would make Lu shenqi this scared was really serious

"calm down and speak clearly, I can't understand anything you're saying"

After a few minutes, Lu shenqi began speaking again, she sounded like she had gotten back her composure although her voice still shook a little as she spoke

"miss there's trouble" she started

"trouble? what do you mean?" Lui shenhui questioned

"miss I'm in trouble, big trouble and I don't know what to do, I'm so confused" She began sobbing again

Lui shenhui felt like her heart had sunk into her chest, her mind told her that Lu yao yin had started her feedback.

"shut up! just shut up and explain, what do you mean you're in trouble" She roared in anger.

"it's not something I can talk on the phone, can...can we meet?"

"I'm on my way" with a heavy expression and a palpitating heart she cut the call and hurriedly left the house after biding madam Zi goodbye.
