The family had already gotten up and we're about having breakfast, madam Zi had urged their last night visitors to stay till after dinner so the table still had the presence of Lui shenhui and the Zi twin alongside Mr and Mrs Zi then Zi jiayi

Zi jiayi felt aggrieved that Madam Zi had interrupted his glorious food munching, He murmured under his breath but still marched on to carry out the order.

Zi jiayi looked like he was in a hurry and he consistently knocked on Lu yao yin door, He was coming from his brother's room and had spent quite a while knocking but still no one answered the door. he was really in a hurry to return to the dinning table

They began their breakfast and few minutes later Zi yichen and Lu yao yin came to join them.

"good morning Mr Zi, Mrs Zi" Lu yao yin politely greeted them while Zi yichen gave a consensual nod.

"miss Yan quick sit down the dishes are almost cold" Jia Lin urged Lu yao yin to seat

"oh that reminds me" Madam Zi suddenly blurted out "miss Yan are you free this month end?"

"that's good then, our family is holding an anniversary celebration for both yichen company and also our family, you should come, it would be nice to have you around"

she might have noticed Lui shenhui dark face cause she immediately added "shenhui you should come too it's definitely going to be fun"

Lui shenhui gave her a perfunctory answer cause she had sensed that madam Zi had asked only because she didn't want her to feel bad not because she wanted her to be there

Her face dropped, in anger she clenched her fist secretly under the table, she wondered what Lu yao yin had done to deserve such sincere treatment from Madam

after breakfast the guest began leaving one after the other, Lui shenhui was the first to leave as she had gotten an urgent call from home, next were the Zi twins.

as Zi yichen and Lu yao yin we're about to leave, madam Zi and Zi jiayi saw them off to their car.

"Yichen you should come back home often, you look so skinny it shows you haven't been taken care of your health" said Jia Lin concerned

"mom you don't need to worry I take care of myself pretty well" Maybe because Lu yao yin was with him, he was willing to say many words

The worried mother sighed regretfully, she knew there was no excuse that she could concoct to make Zi yichen come home frequently.

Lu yao yin was shocked by Mrs Zi sudden request, the woman's eyes sparkled under the sunlight as she expectantly waited for Lu yao yin answer. seeing her this way Lu yao yin couldn't bare to say anything that would affect the woman's mood further

she nodded politely

"I most definitely would try my best but bare in mind that your son is pretty stubborn"

Zi yichen chuckled lightly when he heard her complain.

The four of them said their goodbyes and then Madam Zi watched as the black car rolled out of the compound. as it pulled further and further away she felt her heart sink and the emptiness she felt before now returned.

sensing his mothers mood, Zi jiayi tried to comfort her with some reassuring words

well apart from trying to comfort her his actual motive was to share some gossip

"mother you don't have to worry about brother, he has a girlfriend that can take care of him"

"a girlfriend?" mother Zi eyes lit up like a glow bulb when she heard this

"yes didn't notice something was fishy between bro yichen and Miss Yan, I'm pretty sure she is his girlfriend" He stated with a matter-of-fact tone

expecting to see shock on his mother's face but all he got was a smack on the head.

she glared at him agitatedly "nonsense! you can't just assume the relationship between people like that"
