C5 - Mashiro Shiina

"Are you Mashiro Shiina?"

"..."

"Hey, what color do you want to be?"

The girl looked up to Lucias and said in a soft voice devoided of emotion.

Lucias a bit taken back by the sudden question but clearly remembered this scene and Sorata's answer to Mashiro's question. When he thought about Sorata's answer "iridescent" it made sense, Sorata was always outshined by the other tenants at Sakurasou, always trying to match someone else, thus ended up being outshined by others and being on the background.

"Hmm.. I'm not sure, but if I had to say I'd say my color is a rainbow"

Lucias nodded and said with absolute confidence in his voice, he had the system and his magic to help him so all possibilities are open for him.

"Rainbow?"

Shiina observed the boy in front of him curiously, her first time hearing such an answer.

"I have unlimited possibilities, I don't intend to be labeled as just one of the many colors. I'm not going to be a filler amongst the people, when people look at me they are going to see radiance of colors"

Mashiro was a bit overwhelmed hearing Lucias answer.

Never has she thought people could have so many colors, originally for her the world was black and white, it was her and her paintings and on the other side was the outside world.

In reality she has never been interested of the outside world, even when her friend introduced her to manga, but as she heard Lucias answer some curiosity awakened in her heart and her eyes gained a small light to them.

"What about you, what color do you want to be?"

Lucias asked back at her noticing the small light in her eyes and inwardly smiling.

"At this moment in time, I'm probably.. white"

"Mn.. white is a good color, white is beautiful, simple, and flawless but easily sullied and stained by others. Never change yourself for others, your color depends on your choices and actions"

Lucias nodded and said, remembering Sorata who pretty much ruined Mashiro's color by always comparing himself to her and stained her color with all of his negativity.

"The future of my color depends of my choices?"

Mashiro said softly and looked at Lucias, she didn't really understand what the boy in front of him meant, but no one has ever said something similar before, which was why she felt that she wanted to be with him from now on.

"Lucias Tokisaki. I was asked by Chihiro-san to come and pick you up"

Lucias showed her the photo of young Mashiro and had to admit that even grown up she is cute and beautiful.

"Mashiro Shiina"

"Well shall we go Mashiro-chan? Chihiro-san is probably waiting for us"

Lucias said thinking about what they are going to eat tonight.

"Call me, Mashiro"

Lucias a bit taken back by the comment, and thought if it was okay to call an "almost" stranger without suffixes to their name, but then remembered Mashiro's head work a bit differently from others.

"Then Mashiro, you can call me Lucias too"

"Mn, Lucias"

Mashiro nodded and started following Lucias back to Sakurasou.

Lucias took Mashiro back to Sakurasou, but as Mashiro grew curious of everything around her and they ended up being a little late, and when they arrived the Mashiro's luggage had already arrived.

"Welcome to Sakurasou!"

"Welcome Mashiro-chan and Lucias-kun officially to Sakurasou!"

Everyone exclaimed loudly as they were sitting around the table waiting for the hotpot to be done.

Lucias was sitting next to Mashiro who was staring at Lucias. There were also Chihiro, Misaki and a new boy he hasn't met yet but knew him from the anime.

"Lucias Tokisaki, hope we get along"

Lucias sat up and bowed a little introducing himself, he sat back down and stared at Mashiro gesturing her to introduce herself.

"Mashiro Shiina"

Mashiro quickly looked towards everyone and said with a soft voice before going back to staring at Lucias.

"Oh I almost forgot, introduce yourselves!"

Chihiro suddenly clapped her hands together and exclaimed.

"We're having spring onion hotpot tonight! I'm Misaki Kamiigusa, Room 201, both of your Senpai, nice to meet you!"

Misaki put down the hotpot to the table and introduced herself with more JoJo poses like in the morning.

"Yo, Jin Mitaka. Room 103, General Studies student, also the scriptwriter of Misaki's anime"

Said the playboy sitting next to Misaki giving a small wave, he has glasses on his face with purple eyes and brown-gray hair reaching his eyes.

*ding!*

Jin received a text message to his phone and proceeded to read the text out loud.

Ryuunosuke Akasaka: "Nice to meet you, Ryuunosuke Akasaka, Room 102, also a programmer. Please place a bowl for Ryuunosuke-sama in plastic wrap, no onions, thank you. From: Maid"

"All right now that the introductions are over let's get to eating!"

Chihiro loudly stated and started grabbing food for herself while everyone else did the same, expect Mashiro who was still staring at Lucias.

"Something wrong, Mashiro?"

Lucias noticed Mashiro not grabbing any food and decided to ask her quite aware of her personality and was sure she was waiting for him to serve her a bowl, but decided to make sure.

"..."

Mashiro stared quietly for a while before her eyes landed on the hotpot in the middle of the table, then she looked at him and the pot again.

Lucias got the message and started to get here a bowl.

"Here"

He handed her a bowl and started eating while Mashiro also did the same. Chihiro seeing this smiled a bit solidifying her thoughts and continued eating.

"So, you're from England, Mashiro-chan. You are going to attend Suimei University, right?"

Jin asked Mashiro who looked up at him.

"I transferred"

Mashiro answered him with a blank face and proceeded to eat.

"Mashiro got recommended so she didn't have to take any exams. Her situation and condition are a little special. She has almost no friends from childhood up to now, and she is a bit ignorant. She also lacks common sense and doesn't have any ability to take care of herself, so.. Lucias"

Chihiro looked at Mashiro and Lucias for a moment, while the latter stared with a deadpan on his face knowing where this is going.

"Starting tomorrow, you'll take care of Mashiro"

She continued and nodding sagely, while Lucias still staring at her.

"...Are you sure, I'm still a boy, Chihiro-san"

Lucias replied to her a bit unsure, and taking a look at Mashiro who didn't have any change in expression.

"It's fine, it's fine, you guys seem to be pretty much at the same wavelength with each other so you'll do perfect, and you don't seem the type to take advantage of others"

She said with a thumbs up and a smile on her face to Lucias.

"I suppose I have to accept then and thank you for your trust in me"

He said with an emotionless tone before turning her head and looking at Mashiro for a bit before continuing eating.

After the welcome party was over and everyone had retired to their rooms Lucias was sitting on his bed thinking what to create with his [AoE] before he realized he still has his Gacha Tickets.

(A/N: Tired of writing [Arc Of Embodiment] so I shortened it to [AoE])

Lucias did a quick prayer to the Goddess of Luck and used the tickets.

As Lucias was reading his rewards he started seeing thousands of different attacks with the spear in his mind and feeling them ingraining themselves to his muscle memory becoming like second nature to him.

'Lady Luck really seems to be on my side'

He thought to himself seeing the rest of his rewards and quickly went and opened his "Inventory".

[The Lightbringer Armor

Description: Hi-tech Armor carved with runes of old, giving its user extreme boost on protection and speed. Contains an extremely sharp magnetic disk on its back for offensive purposes]

Description: A Magic Core capable of upgrading Users magic circuits and giving the user an extremely large amount of mana regeneration and -storage]

Lucias hurriedly jumped out of his bed and equipped "The Lightbringer Armor" and went in front of his mirror, he noticed his vision went a bit darker but noted that was becouse of the helmet he was wearing. The armor was completely black and looked extremely futuristic but still had an ancient tone to it with the runes carved to it.

As he was examining the armor he took out the disk from his back, but as he did so the armor suddenly started lightning up, it had glowing outlines going from top to bottom in yellowish-white color. There was also two rings on each of his shoulders and one on top of his helmet giving him an angelic feel.

After Lucias was done examining the armor he put it back in his inventory and he want back to sitting in his bed and decided to install the Magic Core to himself.

As soon as he decided to install it Lucias started feeling unbearable amount of pain, feeling like every vein on his body is being forcefully expanded, he could only grit his teeth in pain. After the pain subsided a warm feeling started spreading trough out his body from his heart, it felt invigorating like someone giving you a warm hug, though it still didn't help with the phantom pain lingering in Lucias body,

The process took around an hour and after process was done Lucias was sweating bullets deciding to take a bath after taking a look at his notices.

He said with a sweaty face while smiling, feeling the mana surging trough his circuits.
