10 Neo Vs Ryan

After thirty minutes of rest, Neo and Ryan were ready to do battle. Jason was still asleep recovering his strength so only Jane and Juke would be there to witness the fight.

The four of them were walking to the field.

"Oh by the way, what did you call it?" Ryan asked Neo.

"What do you mean 'it'?" Neo asked.

"I mean the way you fought Jason. That didn't just look like good at physical activities, it looked like an old martial arts. The way you were so deceptive, so fast and so quick to react."

"Oh that, I haven't really figured everything out about it. It's called Serpent-Style. I was inspired when I watched my pet snake moving around." Neo replied and Ryan was fascinated.

They finally arrived at the large field. Jane and Juke took their seats on the floating benches hovering about four feet in the air.

And Ryan and Neo were on the field, standing a few feet away from them as they readied themselves.

Ryan and Neo activated their ability and Manga Watch respectively. Ryan's hair became a bit wild and spikey and his hair turned a light sandy blonde color. His eyes also became red but his outfit was the best part.

He had a cool black mask with some weird spiky things coming out from behind it. He also had two large grenade shaped gauntlets on. He also wore a black shirt with rectangular shaped grey objects on his shoulder along with black trousers and other patterns.

"Whoa! He looks exactly like him." Neo said still amazed. Neo then positioned himself in a stance. His legs were barely apart and he stretched out his right hand in front while the left was by his hip.

Ryan's left arm began to glow a golden color as a blast charged in his hand until.

*Boom

A large number of small explosions in the shape of balls were released at Neo but he raised his legs up and performed a backflip. Mid flip, his hands landed on the ground and he jumped up.

But that wasn't a problem for Ryan. He just adjusted his aim higher to hit his opponent.

The attacks then hit him all at once until Ryan finally ran out of ammo and the smoke that was constantly being created started to clear.

When it finished clearing, Neo was seen again but he looked a bit different. His arms which he had been using to block had some kind of black substance on and around it.

It was the Shadow Skin skill. This was the first time Neo had tried to use the Basic skills so he was just test running them. The same could be said for Ryan, he had never tried this form this time so this was also a test run.

Neo jumped back on the ground. He had jumped a little too high but he didn't just jump back to where he was standing before.

He jumped directly behind Ryan while the smoke had cleared and then hit him swiftly in the ribs and then kicked him.

This caused Ryan to get launched away about 6 feet away and was still in the air.

[Explosion Blast]

An explosion was created from his hands which helped him to get his footing back and he finally stopped moving and was now standing.

Neo ran towards him with incredible speed and Ryan feared he was going to be unable to stop it.

He had already used up 20 Energy to heal from the last attack and this time, he might lose.

Ryan in the moment, brought up the Holo screen in his head.

He transformed and quickly sped away from Neo.

"Huh?" Neo was taken by surprise and stopped. He didn't expect him to switch mid fight which would make him use up more Energy than needed.

Ryan then ran back towards Neo and gave him a punch in the face. But the latter had brought up his Shadow Skin just in time and minimized the damage but he still sustained a little damage.

Neo then brought out his hand and activated the Abyssal Bolt, causing a black ball of energy with purple bolts around it to appear.

Ryan didn't have time to react when he was blasted in the face with it, causing him to jump in the air and land on the ground, leaving a big mark on it.

"Oooh, that's gotta hurt." Jane said and looked over at Juke. The Mech Animal was just laughing, lying on its belly.

"Hey, that's a bit mean." Ryan said after getting up from the ground and saw Juke's reaction.

The Mech Animal however just continued laughing even harder.

Ryan was still in his Minato transformation and he had lost more Energy using it to heal up, he only had 50 Energy left.

Neo although Ryan didn't realize yet was already heading towards him.

[Shadow Hop Activated]

Neo jumped up about five feet in the air.

He used it again going up higher and making him to literally double jump.

"Wait, he didn't just..." Ryan was shocked after he had realized Neo was heading towards him again.

Neo activated the Abyssal Bolt in his hand again and headed towards Ryan.

[Rasengan Activated]

A glowing blue ball of energy with a white core appeared in Ryan's hand. The wind force around it caused his white jacket-cape to be blown in the wind.

As Neo's own headed towards his face, Ryan raised up the hand holding the attack and clashed with Neo's Abyssal Bolt.

The force around them increased and the wind around them began to become more violent as Jane and Juke jumped off the Floating benches which had been taken away by the wind.

"So much power." Jane said, astonished as she held Juke in her hands.

He was the only reason she was being blown in the wind. He could make his body become heavier, courtesy of a special tech Jason had created.

Their attacks seemed to have been evenly matched and wasn't budging. This went on for a few minutes.

"Come on. I have to push harder." Ryan thought and tried to focus and it had worked.

"Perfect." Ryan said with a smile.

His Rasengan then increased in strength and the wind force around it became even stronger and the Rasengan became bigger.

The blue orb finally overpowered Neo's Abyssal Bolt and completely countered it, pushing him away through the air until he finally landed on the ground.

The air finally stopped as the two opposing forces had disappeared.

After that, Ryan reverted back to his regular form.

He looked over at Neo who had stood up. His wounds had been healed with the left over Energy he had left.

"Guess I don't have to completely knock him out. Then again, the Manga Watch did say it was a friendly spar." Ryan thought.

Ryan then looked over at Jane and Juke to see if they were fine. After that, they all headed back inside to find Jason sitting in the living room.

"You feeling better?" Ryan, Neo and Jane asked as they sat on the couches as well.

"Yeah. My Energy is completely full. Now tell me what rewards you got." Jason had observed Neo and Ryan's fight.

He also saw in his Holo Screen that he had failed the mission and thereby did not get the reward but he already knew that.

Ryan did as Jason asked and brought up the Holo Screen for every body to see.

The four of them were extremely confused by the last part.

"Why is mine showing up there?" Jason and Neo asked.

"And why does mine say error?" Neo added.

"Maybe it's.. Oh who am I kidding, I don't know." Ryan said but then they heard a clapping sound.

They turned to see it had come from Jane.

"Isn't it obvious? Outlet means those you have given powers to and the error is probably because Neo is currently on the same level as you. It just means he can't use the Level Points on those of the same level or higher." Jane answered and it started to make sense to the three of them.

Ryan then decided on who he would choose to level up.

When seeing the last choice, Jason was surprised.

"Why did you.."

"What dou you mean?" Ryan interrupted. "If I'm going to find my parents, I'm gonna need all the strength I can get. Plus, if I can help my friend, I'm gonna." Ryan replied with a cheeky smile.

Jason smiled in response.

"Arigato." He said the japanese word for Thank You.

Ryan then looked over at his second reward.

"The three of you must be linked somehow." Jane said in theory.

"You're forgetting, this is perfect. With this, we can go against the Curse without them knowing it's us." Ryan said, sounding very pleased.
