Adrian checked his in-game stats and he wondered how he got all of these stats. 'Future said that the maximum beginning stats I will get is 10. Health and Energy are commonly multiplied by 10 in all fantasy games… Looking at my stats… I guess this is good?' thought Adrian.

"So, is my stats consider good? What criteria are you giving us this stat?" Adrian decided to ask.

[You have good stats. As for how I distribute the stat points for you, I scanned your body just now and combining that data with all the information I have about you, I give you this stat] Future replied.

"Okay," Adrian nodded and he looked at the other parameter and understood something. "To raise our stats, we need to do it in real life so, the level is unnecessary but it is present in my data and there is a maximum to how much stat I can have," Adrian mumbled.

[You guessed it right. The level is only used to increase the maximum limit of your stats. As to how it will increase, you will figure it out when you level up] Future spoke.

"Then, what is this 'Resident'?" Adrian asked another question.

[I will tell you that in a bit but for now, we need to focus on Special Stat] Future replied.

"You mention having more choices for Special Stat earlier and this is it?" Adrian spoke.

[Yes. I will explain about it now] Future replied and he continued, [Special Stat will determine how you play Progress. You can consider it your talent or ability in the game. Special stat works the same as the other stat and it will enhance what it represents] Future started his explanation.

[Different players will have a different amount of special stat slot given to them. This is determined based on how they have been living their life. As you are aware, this game is created to curb many problems and the special slot is a way of showing if someone is living a good life or not] Future added.

"So, am I considers living a good life then?" Adrian mumbled.

[Well, from my data and monitoring, you are a good guy and rarely cause a problem to your family. So, your advantage in this game is having more special slots than others] Future replied. Adrian was embarrassed when he heard that. He felt like he was not a good son to his family.

[Moving on, you can choose the special stat at the beginning of the game and what you choose will be permanent. You cannot change it. It will stick to you until you don't want to play the game anymore. You cannot delete or reset your account to choose a better one too. So, choose properly] Future continued his explanation.

[Special stat that you can choose is different from person to person. What you can choose is based on what you have done or something related to you in real life. Let say you study mathematics, so, the special stat you will get will be related to mathematic]

Adrian nodded while he listened to Future. He understood what Future meant.

"Then, my choices of special stat will be quite the same as Ceylon and Keith because we study agriculture?" Adrian asked.

[Sort of but you will have better choices because of your Authority Level] Future replied and he continued, [Do you want to choose now? Your friends are choosing theirs]

"Let's do it," Adrian replied and immediately, the floating screen blinked once and a new screen appeared with a long list of special stats Future spoke off.

"This is a lot…" Adrian mumbled. He checked on the list and was surprised to see what he could choose. When Future spoke everything related to him, he meant it.

"Pillow, blanket, table, chair, bench, bed, study desk, floor…" Adrian was speechless. He never thought those things were considered special stats too and he wondered who was nice enough to choose this.

[Well then, because you have Grade C Authority Level, here is my advice for you to play the game successfully] Future suddenly spoke. [Consider it a tip]

[Before you choose any of them, consider if you can do anything about them in real life. You are aware that they are stats and that means the only way for you to get them is training them in real life] Future spoke and Adrian understood what Future meant.

"I should choose something that I will do a lot in real life. Not something that I will do in the game because I cannot raise my stat inside the game," Adrian nodded.

[Correct. So, choose properly. I suggest you choose something general so that you have a lot of things to do to increase the stat. If you choose something specific, you may meet a dead end] Future suggested.

[Due to your Authority Level, you get a lot of general special stat. Special Stats that covers a lot of things] Future spoke.

"But, choosing something general may not be a good thing too. I may not have something special with me," Adrian was concerned.

[Even if you have general special stats, you can still work it in something you want to focus on. The advantage of having the general stats is you have many choices. If you fail on one thing, you can focus on others] Future spoke.

Adrian thought for a while and skimmed through the list of special stats.

'My main reason for playing this is to save some money for college. If I choose something specific and may not be able to do it, it will be hard to save some money. General special stat may be the best choice,' thought Adrian.

Adrian checked the list and isolated the general special stats aside. He would choose them once he got them all.

'I don't even know how the game will be but Future said that it is better to choose something that I will do a lot,' thought Adrian.

Adrian had the lists of the general special stat he had and decided to choose five of them because he had five slots.

'I will inherit my family's farm in the future and choosing something related to farming will be the best. Even after I graduate, I will be able to get the stats when I am working at the farm,' Adrian smiled and he made his decision.

'Let's choose Farming Tool, Plant, and Animal but I have two more slots left. Maybe Water and Ground? When looking back at all the list of Special Stats, I think this game will be the usual Fantasy RPG… I should choose something that will work well in Fantasy RPG,' Adrian thought.

"Adrian~ are you done? We have something to discuss with you before we dive in," Ceylon suddenly spoke.

"Huh? I am still thinking. Are you done choosing your special stats?" Adrian asked.

"Yeah. Nothing much to choose so, we are done. You take quite a while choosing…" Keith squinted his eyes at Adrian, "You must be living an honest and healthy life," Keith sounded bitter.

"…" Adrian did not say anything.

"Choose yours first and we will wait. No need to rush," Ceylon spoke while smiling. He glanced at Keith and said, "You must be a bad boy. Kekeke."

"Hmph! Girls love the bad boy. I may get the lowest Authority Level but I will get a lot of beauties. I will create my harem in the game. Maybe I will get many beautiful girls in real life too!" Keith spoke.

"You wish. That is all a myth. It is all about looks and…" Ceylon rubbed his thumb and index fingers together, "Money. Now that everyone in a crisis, the money will be the best selling point if you want a girl. I have the look and money and I will be the one who girls are attracted to."

Ceylon was a handsome man. Out of the trio, Ceylon had the looks and money. Keith was all about the manly and rough man. As for Adrian, he was not that stand out. Adrian had an average appearance and nothing stood out about him.

"Nah~ girls like a bad and rough man like me. You look like a sissy and they want a manly man like me," Keith spoke.

While Keith and Ceylon talked back and forth about who was better, Adrian continued to choose his special stats. Five minutes later, Adrian made his choices.

The genes and minerals stat was present because Adrian learned biology and chemistry in class. Also, considering the game would be Fantasy, these two stats would work well with the other three he chose.

After Adrian had made his choices, he needed to choose another thing.
