Raven looked at the status of the man in front of him, but it was nothing impressive. He was slightly stronger than the girl beside him, but that was it. Even though Raven couldn't see their abilities until he reached level 10, the stats gave him a rough idea of how strong anyone was, unless they had abilities like clairvoyance or anything outrageous but these types of abilities are not something that anyone can have."

"It is still the initial stage for these people, so I can't blame them. They are not weak per se; they are just starting," Raven thought to himself.

The guards took their injured member and left to take him to the infirmary, and the others who were looking from a distance went back to their positions.

"President Khan, there was a slight misunderstanding, but it's nothing for you to worry about."

Max, who was now standing on the right of Frida, said in a hurried tone. He saw everything happening between Raven and the guard from a distance, but he didn't want Khan's first impression of Raven to be negative. He knew Raven was strong, and if a person like him joined the association, it would greatly boost their power.

Khan looked at Max and nodded. After gazing at him for a few seconds, he had a feeling that something was off. But seeing that the guard didn't have any serious injuries and was now on his way to the doctor's office, he just turned a blind eye.

"Anyway, there are a lot of new people this time too," Khan said, changing the topic and looking at the long queue in front of the building.

Sensing the gaze of the first awakener, the people in the line who were looking at the commotion from their side started looking around in different directions, hoping their eyes wouldn't meet his.

Khan gazed at the large number of new awakeners who were going to join the association. Due to the overwhelming number of applicants, the process would take a couple of days, but Khan was pleased that so many people showed up. Although most of them might have come for the salary and perks offered by the government through the association, more people meant more assurance and firepower in this dangerous and unknown world of mana.

"President"

Suddenly, Frida's voice snapped Khan out of his thoughts. He noticed a young man with unique silver eyes standing before him with injuries on his body visible.

"Who are you, young man?" Khan asked, his gaze locked on the stranger's eyes.

"Raven" the young man replied, his expression unreadable.

"I have never seen you here before. Are you here for the new joinings?"

"No sir. He is with us, we found him in the Blackwood Mountains" Frida explained.

"Blackwood Mountains?"

"Yes sir" Frida confirmed, still standing at attention.

"Okay, I'll listen to the details later first Frida, Max you two come with me. We have to shortlist ten people for the new hunting team and I want your suggestions. Also, take him to the nurse's to get his wounds treated and give him something to wear before bringing him back to me." Khan ordered, looking at Raven.

The woman with glasses and files in her hand led Raven to the infirmary. She was not as beautiful as Frida but no one could call her ugly. She had black shoulder-length hair with dark brown eyes and was dressed in typical secretary-like clothes.

The girl's status was not different, so Raven didn't pay any attention to her anymore.

"So, how did you end up with the Alpha team? Did they save you from the hyenas in the Blackwood Mountains?" Emma asked, smiling. Her smile was very innocent and pure, but her eyes showed that she had experienced something horrible. Raven remembered Frida; she was the same as this girl. Both of them must have had a hard time during the change.

"You can say that. In a way, they did save me" Raven said to her. Even though he was the one who killed all the hyenas in the mountains, using Harrowed depleted his mana and his health also decreased a lot. So, in a way, encountering the Alpha team did ease things up for him.

Both of them reached the doctor's office. After leaving the office, Raven's hand was wrapped with gauze bandages, and several band-aids were stuck on different parts of his body.

"Where now?" he asked Emma.

"Now, we'll change your clothes, and if you want, I can prepare a bath for you before going to the President's office."

"That would be nice, but can I ask you for one more favor?" Raven asked.

"Sure."

"Can you prepare some food for me? I am starving."

"No problem" Emma said with a smile.

After leaving Raven alone to take a bath, Emma left to prepare a meal for him. Raven was standing in the shower with a bathtub filled with water.

"What a strange way of bathing. Am I supposed to go into that small thing...?" Raven shrugged his shoulders and got into the bathtub. The water was warm, just right for him. He took his time, but after some time his stomach growled indicating that it couldn't remain empty any longer. He left the tub and put on the clothes that Emma had given him before leaving.

There was a huge mirror in the room, Raven had not yet seen the body he was in. So, he walked to the mirror and looked at the man in front of him.

Raven gazes at his reflection in the mirror, his striking features are illuminated by the soft glow of the room. His silver eyes sparkle with quiet intensity as he takes in his own appearance, admiring the strong lines of his face and the impeccable fit of his black shirt and pants. The mirror reflects his confident posture, with broad shoulders and a lean, athletic build, giving him an air of understated power and poise. As he steps back to take in the full picture, his silver eyes survey every detail with a calm assured gaze, radiating a quiet sense of satisfaction.

Hmmm, those eyes… belong to me and not to this body, but not bad. I look pretty good if I must say," Raven thought to himself.

There was a knock on the door as Raven was admiring his appearance in the mirror.

"Your lunch is ready, sir" an unfamiliar voice called from the other side of the door.

Raven opened the door to find a girl standing with a food trolley. She entered the room with the trolley, and Raven stepped aside to give her some space. His eyes glowed for a moment, but then his expression turned to one of confusion.
