2 Chapter 02

"Grandma! How are you feeling?" Soobin asked. He came to the hospital as fast as he could. But his granny wasn't in a good condition. She was lying on the hospital bed. As her condition wasn't good, she couldn't move her body but looked at Soobin. Her hands were shaking as she tried to hold Soobin's hand. Soobin grabbed her hand promptly.

"My dear! Why are your face like this? Did you fight?" She asked very slowly. She saw Soobin's face covered with several bruises and couldn't help herself but to ask about it. Though she was too sick to take care of someone else, she was very worried when she saw his situation. Soobin was surprised because he took a quick shower before he came and tried his best to cover all the marks. But he was found out by his grandma at a glance.

"Uh! No-no! I participated in a school play and we were practicing just before getting your calls. And I was in a hurry so I forgot to put off the makeup, hahaha! Don't worry! Who in the world has the courage to bully your grandson, hm?" Soobin smiled. His granny knew him better than himself. So she understood he was lying to her. So she sighed and tears dropped from her eyes all of a sudden. She couldn't scold him since he was little because of his cute heart melting smile.

"Dear! I know I couldn't raise you well. I couldn't give you my attention since you were a child. But, I never imagined you were suffering so much. Because you always hide your true emotions. You never let me know what you were going through. But I could tell when and what you were thinking about. Though I didn't pay much attention because I was always busy. I couldn't spend much time with you. You could've gone astray. But instead, you grew up so well that you're making me proud. I thought I could die in peace now. But you know, guardians never feel relieved about their kids no matter how much they're grown up. And now, I'm also worried about you. If I had more time on my hands, I'd go to the city and take care of you until you find someone who'd take care of you in my place." She was talking very slowly and taking breaths from time to time while talking.

"Grandma! Don't say that! I'm okay. I'm living well so don't worry! And don't you dare say that you have no time! I'll save you, okay? I'll take you foreign if you don't get well. Got it?" His eyes also got full of tears because he knew even if he was saying those things, he can't save her. She had lung cancer and she was in the last step.

"Soobin-ah! Have you eaten yet? I wanna see you eat in front of me." She said because she thought Soobin didn't have his dinner and she guessed it true.

"Huh? Right now?" Soobin was surprised.

"Hm. There's some cooked noodles on the table. Can you heat it up and eat sitting beside me? I wanted to cook you a warm meal but I can't." She said.

"Grandma! Then get well soon! I'll wait for you to cook for me again!" Soobin tried to console her but he couldn't console himself. His tears started to drop and got his cute cheeks wet. He wiped them in a hurry and to satisfy his granny, he stood up and took the bowl of the noodles and sat down in front of her again. He started slurping the cold noodles because he didn't want to go far from her for even a second.

Soobin woke up when he heard the continuous beeping sound of the machine. He understood what was going on so he stood up hurriedly and went to his granny. The machine beside her wasn't showing her heartbeat rate anymore because she already took her last breath a while ago. Though Soobin knew he had to face this situation, he wasn't prepared yet. He rushed out to call the nurse and doctor while being restless. The doctor also came but they couldn't do anything anymore other than declaring her death. Soobin was broken fully after losing her. He shed a lot of tears but also needed to take care of her grandma's dead body.

There was a truck standing in front of a big field. The field was covered with small grass and several kinds of plants. The sky was clean and a soft but chilly wind was blowing there. There were many trees and gardens in the town. A man in his mid twenty was trying his best to collect some bananas from the banana garden. Though he was a farmer, he looked very charming. He was wearing a white colored t-shirt and sky blue jeans. His orange colored hair suits him perfectly as if he was an idol. His muscles were seen because he was wearing a half sleeved t-shirt. His eyes were so beautiful that he could attract both ladies and guys with those. But his lips were thick and rare though they made him look more sexy.

Yeonjun took bunches of the banana which he just collected from the trees. He was gonna load them in his truck as he'll deliver them to the city. He plucked the bananas from the clusters and filled many cartons with the banana. He took two cartons at the same time and walking on the field. It was a big, green field which he was crossing. He was a bit irritated since none of his workers showed up and he kept calling them on the phone.

"Aish! They're still not picking up! I told them not to drink so much last night! But! They didn't listen to me! They kept drinking and drinking! Though I threw the party that doesn't mean they needed to be wasted like this! Huh! I'll fire all of them if they don't come to work today! Hmph!" Yeonjun was throwing a tantrum and venting all by himself while walking with the heavy cartons. The truck was a bit far from the field. Since he didn't want to trample the small plants, he didn't bring the truck inside the field. But he was regretting it because he needed to walk through the field with the goods on his back and they were quite heavy. Finally he reached the truck and put cartons filled with the bananas on it. He was working for a long time and filled three fourth of the truck already. He wanted to get some rest because he was tired. He took some bananas from a carton of bananas and then he leaned on the truck. He peeled one to eat by himself but before he got to bite it, his eyes stuck on something.

He saw a guy was walking on the field. He was quite far away and Yeonjun could just see his back as he was going further away. Yeonjun found him so cute and attractive at the same time. He forgot he was tired and hungry. Though he was wearing a black full sleeved shirt and stretchy black jeans, the belt on his waist made him so attractive that Yeonjun wanted to go and touch the boy's butt. But when he realized what he just thought about a boy who he didn't know and didn't even get to see his face, he blushed and tried to look away.

"I must've gone crazy because of the workload! I'm not a pervert to have a thought like this!" Yeonjun tried to console himself. But when he noticed the guy was getting further away, he couldn't stop himself because he wanted to meet him right then. He rushed to him but he forgot what he was doing. He reached him easily because that boy was walking very slowly. As if he was enjoying the beauty of nature while walking. Yeonjun went in front and peeked at his face. He blushed again when he finally got to see the boy's face. His heart started beating fast all of a sudden. He gulped as he was completely mesmerized by Soobin's cuteness as well as handsomeness. Soobin noticed someone peeking at him but he wanted to be all alone. So he tried to ignore him but when he couldn't help himself anymore, he opened his mouth finally,

"What?" Soobin was a bit rude to Yeonjun.

"Uh….I-I saw you from there and I wanted to…." He stopped because he couldn't say what he actually wanted to do to him.

"Hm?" Soobin asked and pushed Yeonjun away. Then he noticed Yeonjun was holding some bananas. He started judging him head to toe. He was quite handsome but why he was doing weird things like this, Soobin couldn't get it. Yeonjun finally came back to his senses and realized he had something with him. He didn't find an excuse why he followed the boy.

"I wanted to share bananas with you!" Yeonjun said excitedly.

"Eh?" Soobin was surprised because he couldn't get that.

"Y-Yeah! D-do you wanna eat some bananas with me?" Yeonjun was faltering because he felt nervous all of a sudden. Soobin was confused for a moment. He couldn't understand how he should reply. He just looked at him with his doable eyes.

Yeonjun gathered confidence out of nowhere and stood straight.

"Come and eat a banana with me! If you don't then you'll be in love with me!" He said as if he was so sure about it.

[Note: *banana* and *fall in love* sounds similar in Korean]
