2 Encounter with Dream Creatures.

Opening his eyes. He found himself in a new realm entirely. And although the runes did say the realm transversal point would be the dream realm. But after staying here and avoiding various life threatening situations countless times continously. Almost as though he was fated to die. He had no choice but to believe otherwise, as he started to doubt whether he was indeed in the dream realm.

A slight rustle suddenly reached his ears, as he immediately turned to his right hand side, hiding behind a large tree.

And then...he ducked onto the ground, his eyes easily piercing through the distance. Finally coming to rest on a dream creature.

Yet he really doubted if it could still be called a dream creature.

After all, a dream creature should probably have to do with a fairy like creature that was absolutely kind and caring...yet he dared not attribute such a behaviour to the variety of dream creatures he had been avoiding for almost six hours now.

Every one of them seemed to be filled with insatiable hunger of sort, as he would always, almost come head-on with a wandering dream creature.

Yet as though lady luck was on his side...he would somehow always manage to avoid them...just like now.

He glanced at the current dream creature.

And just by glancing at it, he was able to discern that it was of a higher hierarchy of sort.

It had humongous body, silvery body and dark abysmal pupils...yet this wasn't the dreadful and nauseating part of it all...the nauseating part of it all was the worms that wriggled crazily around its' entire body, continously moving in and out of its' nostrils, pupils, and body...as it seemed as though it was slowly becoming one with the dream creature.

All this made Zeras come to a conclusion. Those things were probably the reason why the dream creatures were now the intense opposite of what their names labeled them as.

Yet he couldn't be too sure and couldn't even bother to care.

'Not that it affects me anyways.'

"I just have to survive... that's my only concern." He murmmured in a low breathe, as he slowly waited for the dream creature's passing...

And slowly the dream creature did pass by him, as he immediately turned to the other side of the tree. The dream creature sniffed the air, as it seemed to be smelling something...

It was about to head for Zeras' location when a loud scream suddenly tore through the air.

And judging from the sound...he was immediately able to discern that it was the voice of a girl.

'Probably a fellow world evolver.'

The Dream creature let out a loud roar as though in response to something...and then, it rapidly tore through the air. As it sped for the lunch and dessert that was awaiting it...

Zeras heaved a sigh of relief, as drops of perspiration dropped down his forehead.

He had been prepared to risk it all if it really went in such a direction.

But it seemed as usual, his luck was better than usual.

"Whoever you are. Thanks for saving my life. May your perishing soul rest in peace...

May the gods accept you." As a devout believer that gods actually existed...perhaps just hidden from mortal eyes, Zeras said his prayers as he immediately turned back.

And then..he slowly transversed through the forest. He had realized that not only did the dream transversal properly separated two or more world evolvers in close proximity, but he also realized a fact...and that was the fact that the dream transversal ended with him arriving within a...forest.

He didn't know whether he should be happy or not...as he could only pray and hope that his good luck was at work...

He suddenly realized something, as he realized that he had no choice but to study the ecosystem within the forest.

As this would increase his chances of survival.

'Makes sense...I just hope I don't die in the process.'

Zeras had a narrowed brow, as he immediately moved, he suddenly saw a large hole covered by the dark leaves of the forest.

If he hadn't decided to pay a rapt attention to everything around him. He might have perhaps falling into the pit and he had no doubt.

Falling into such a pit would surely lead to certain death.

A thought suddenly crossed his mind as he realized how terrifying it would be if that was the case, and how lucky he actually was.

He picked up a large stone, and then...he threw it into the pit.

And just as he had shockingly expected, a loud shattering sound of something being destroyed reverberated into his ears. He took in a deep gulp of saliva as he unconsciously muttered.

"That was certainly too close for comfort."

As realization dawned upon him. A dream creature with terrifying sharp claws was probably hidden within the large hole.

"What a crafty bastard..." Zeras spat on the ground in annoyance...after all, he had almost kicked the bucket.

And then, he immediately made a U- Turn, as he decided to move towards his right...then he would turn forward again...and head for the distant mountain peak.

"That's probably the way out of this forest...and out of hell."

He muttered...but how was he so sure that he wouldn't be facing true hell after getting out of the forest. Well that's provided he even managed to stun fate, and spit on death...successfully escaping from the grasp of both.

He had a raised brow, as he listened to his entire surrounding with rapt intention. Even to the point of trying out what the biology teacher had once told them.

-By yawning...the euchastian tube of the middle ear would be opened. Allowing for air to pass through them....thereby equalling the air pressure on both eardrums. Which would in turn increase one's listening capability.

"Seems that it was the right thing to pay a rapt attention to biology back then. Who would have thought it would be serving as an important asset right now." Zeras muttered, as realization dawned on him.

He could now actually hear everything around him...more clearly and with a higher level of sound detection. With this, he had his confidence raised to another level...as he slowly walked through the forest.

And he was about to pass by a dark swaying leave that had countless thorns on its' body when he suddenly quickened his pace...as he could hear a loud footstep rapidly approaching him at a mind numbing speed.

'How the hell was I discovered.' Zeras had a look of confusion obvious within his pupils, as he suddenly moved with terrifying speed. He dared to say he had never ran that fast.

And just immediately after he zoomed right past the dark leave. It suddenly clamped onto the ground at a terrifying speed. As it met nothing but countless dark leaves. As its' mouth that seemed large enough to swallow someone four times bigger than Zeras immediately got closed afterwards...as it returned to its' mimicking harmless form...

"Really...you have got to be kidding me. Just how treacherous can this dream realm creatures get." Zeras said in annoyance, yet this didn't stop his speed.

As if nothing, it only served to further improve his speed. His veins popped up continously, as his entire body was stressed like never before.

He exhaled continously, as his lungs burnt wildly...yet the sound that was rapidly closing him on him left him with no choice but to exert more strength...and force himself to move at greater speed.

"I haven't even seen Khain, how can I afford to die now." He muttered as his pupils pierced through the air as he suddenly caught sight of a cave.

A light smile spread across his face, as he immediately slid into the cave, immediately hiding behind a dark abysmal stalagmite just in time...

As a large towering monster...the one he had previously encountered, had veins bulging crazily through the dark worms that wriggled across its' skin, as it ran with terrifying speed.

And then...Zeras felt a mind blowing pressure suddenly descend upon him. As a larger dream creature, towering over three meters in height; it had golden body, with even darker worms wriggling across its entire skin, and then two slight horns jutted out of its head. As this showed it was of a higher hierarchy and had a higher bloodline purity...

Zeras had a look of understanding on his face, as he glanced at the monstrosity that was running away from the even dreadful monstrosity.

As reality struck him hard...

"So it wasn't actually chasing after me...it was actually running for its life..."

He slammed his butt against the ground, as he felt like laughing...yet no laughter came out of his lips.

As he was too exhausted to even lift his finger...his entire body had been strained to a state whereby if he had been told he would have to before, he would have slapped the person who said such words to death...

He hadn't even rested for even some couple of minutes before his ear suddenly caught the sound of some footsteps...he wouldn't have paid any attention to it on a normal occasion.

But now he had no other choice, since the footstep, although slow, but one thing was definitely certain.

Whatever it is...was definitely approaching him.

Each footstep brought him into a dreaded state, as he stood petrified behind a stalagmite. He prepared himself to see the greatest terror of his life...

And perhaps, go all out...should they ever be a need to do so...
