10 Seige On The World-Traversing Serpent

"You....."

The fourth elder slowly opened his eyes and focused on a blurry figure of a young man with an older one laying on his shoulder. This figure belonged to Leon.

A few days after they entered the grassland area, Leon had begun to see digital boxes hanging over the head of several memebers of the blood serpent clan. They read

"Dead in 5 days,"

"Crushed by carriage parts"

"Captured in 12 days"

He immediately questioned the system and it let him know that these status windows were from the systems special function.

This function was overpowered. It basically allowed Leon to sneak a peak into the future of certain individuals. However, it wasn't like it didn't have limits. People of considerable strength couldn't be seen through and it was up to the systems discretion who's encounters it would show.

This was a clear indication that if he didn't use it well, he would be the one who ends up suffering. But in this particular circumstance, he knew what to do.

—Boomm!!!!

All of a sudden another explosion sounded in the distance as another section of the world traversing serpent was torn off by a massive beam of energy. The hunters had caught up to them and they were using all of their might to stop them from escaping.

Leon saw this and frowned, with the old man on his back he immediately dashed into devil wood forest leaving Caroline and phoebe to fend for themselves.

"Men, Prepare yourselves!!!"

After watching Leon dash into the forest, the fourth elder decided to pull his men togather. They couldn't all run away like Leon, some had to stand and fight, but if an opportunity to escape arrives later, he wouldn't hesitate to leave.

On the opposite side of the grassland.

A lady with long luscious blonde hair sat on her horse staring down at the carnage infront of them. They had been tracking the blood serpent clan for several days now, finally they had caught them. It gave her a sense of relief. She knew what their superiors would do to them if they failed.

"I want them captured alive!!!"

Beside her was a bulky man in high-grade Steel amour and behind her were a host of men and women on horse back. They were the hunters.

"Charge!!!!"

Not more than a few seconds later, the whole troop of men spilt into two and dashed towards the two sections of the world traversing serpent that had been cut down. They were going to lay seige to them.

"Hmp!!, stay close"

The blonde spoke to a young man beside her, then she pushed her horse forward and proceeded to rush towards the cabin section that Leon had been in.

"Hold your ground, if you can use fighting spells use them, if you can heal do so. We need to stick togather or we will be hunted like dogs."

After readying his men the fourth elder riled up the other clans men. he had come with several guards and the likes of byand and his big brother were very good fighters. With the help of the other clans men they might be able to hold the hunters long enough for them to escape.

"Extermination light"

The first group of hunters reached the carrige and attacked, immediately after they were countered by Byand and several guards. Meanwhile the fourth elder assisted from the back.

—Boom!!

The fight had begun abruptly but strangely, the Warlocks had the upper hand. If Leon was here to see this he would be shocked. Byand was actually very powerful.

Himself and his brother used a spell that enhanced their bodies by leaps and bounds making them seem like monster. With a single swing they could cut down 2 or 3 men.

"Hold your ground!!" Byand shouted as he swung his blade to cut down another batch of hunters. The men were riled up seeing the berserker brothers taking down scores after scores of hunters.

It filled them with hope, however.

"This isn't right" the fourth elder looked to the side and frowned. The hunters hand lots of low ranking fighters, yes, but they also had high ranked ones too. Strangely there weren't any in this seige....unless

—Gallop gallop

Not too far away, the sound of horses resounded, and they were getting closer....it was another wave and it was massive.

"Shit" the fourth elder who was momentarily stunned shook his head and in that split second, he decided to run. This fight.....he didn't believe that he could win.

"Where do you think you're going to?" All of a sudden a flash of light appeared in the corner of the fourth elders eye. a blade came barreling towards him out of no where.

From his left was a bulky man and on his right was a blonde lady with luscious hair and a compact suit of amour....the real power houses had appeared.

"Hmp!!, Serpent Blood Work : Serpent Blood Extensions"

The fourth elder took in a large breath of air and activated a spell and suddenly.

—Clang!!

They collided, but the fourth elder was not moved, two apparitions of snakes appeared from his back and streched forward. One of them blocked the incoming attack from the left and the other blocked the one from the right.

"Let me show you why they call me devil snake zhang"

The fourth elder said with an evil smile, he was the fourth most influencial person in the clan not because he was lucky, no, it was because he was truly strong.

"Ah? You're devil snake zhang? Looks like we caught a big one..." The bulky man looked excited, they had come fishing for minnows and caught a shark. Devil snake zhang was a top ranking elder of the blood serpent clan. He was on their list of priority targets, who knew that they would get him on a random cabin at the back of the world traversing serpent?

"You aren't powerful enough to be my captors..."

The fourth elder said and immediately pushed both of them away. However, they didn't let up. In a flash the blonde riled up horse up and rushed the old man. Her swords glistened with bright light as she swung at the fourth elder.

The advantage the elder had right now were his extra appendages. She needed to distract him so the bulky man would take advantage.

With her first swing she forced the fourth elder to dodge, with the second swing the elder blocked, with the third one he was cut a little on the cheek, it looked like she had the upper hand In the exchange.....

Unfortunately, she didn't think too deeply about her moves...

"Inexperienced!!" The fourth elder sneered. she came at him with too much confidence, she wasn't cautious at all and in battle only a split second was needed to determine life or death.

One of the blood red snake streching from the Elders back moved in a zigzag manner directly biting the neck of horse the blonde lady's was seated on....

—Neighhh!!!

This brutal attack caused the horse to scream and throw the blonde up into the air.

"Hu"

Looking down she could see the fourth elder smiling mockingly at her error.

However he was mistaken.

—Phew,

—Phew

Two daggers cloaked in darkness flew from the back of blonde lady and pierced towards the fourth elder. As it flashed forward the elder immediately used his palms to redirect the trajectory of the projectiles. Still, this was not good enough.

Because behind the daggers, the hidden blade of the blonde lurked.....

—Slash!!

With that surprise attack she was able to cut of one of the Elder's arm's causing excessive bleeding.

"Sneaky b*tch!!"

The fourth elder cursed, he didn't expect such a young lady to be this apt at battle....

"Hmmmm"

While the fourth elder cursed, the blonde looked over at bulky man who was supposed to back her up. He was currently engaged in battle with Byand and his brother.

"Annoying" she sneered, she knew very well how powerful the man was. Fighting against these two was something he could finish in a matter of seconds....he was doing it on purpose so she would have to fight the elder alone.
