Chapter 49 To visit Julie.........

Daniel entered the study. He sat in the couch opposite to were grandpa Lee after greeting him. Daniel discussed some business with him told him about how he found the mole in his office.

After sometime his father entered with his mother. They both took there seat.

"When will we hear good news?" Grandpa Lee asked while sipping his tea.

"I am taking her out with me tomorrow....." saying this Daniel took his leave. The three elderly people were struck dumb. "This rascal..." grandpa Lee had

AFTER A MONTH

This past month Isla and Daniel had been busy in the company. Even on week ends they worked without a break.

Daniel was highly impressed by Isla's work. She is a very sharp minded lady. Her calculations and predictions were always accurate. She helped him in finding errors in many of the contract deals and projects. This made Daniel very proud.

He sure had big plans for her future. Right now he was letting her grow by his side safely. He had seen it with his eyes, she is a very hardworking person. Sharply skilled. But still little naive due to lack of experience and age factor. As her husband he wanted to be her shelter, her umbrella and protect her from all the difficulties and at the same time train her to face them when he is not around.

Isla was very passionate about what she did. For her, working hard was the key.

This past month, she saw Daniel was very patient with her. He explained her things like he was teaching a small kid who knew nothing about this world.

FLASHBACK....

Isla was sitting in the couch in the office. Danial had give her a project to review. And he himself was busy in signing some documents to give his approval to release funds.

Isla had a big frown on her face. She was waiting for Danial to be free to ask him some terms and conditions in the project which she could not understand. She was little embarrassed to ask as she thought that he was already so busy in things and here she was becoming a nuisance in front of him. So she decided to go out and ask one of his secretaries to explain it to her.

"Where are you going, Isla?" Daniel asked in a very deep tone as Isla was trying to sneek out without being noticed.

She got startled. "I.... I was going out."

"Oh ...okay. But why are you taking all those folders with yourself?" he asked. He had rested one of his hand on his side face and the other on the desk tapping his fingers.

"I wanted to ask something to Ms. Rose." She said.

"What is that Ms Rose can explain you that I can't?" He asked as he got up and went near the couch and and sat down. "Come on. Ask me. I will explain you. " He said gesturing her to sit beside him.

"Oh... k.... " Said Isla and sat beside him.

"I can't understand clause in this page." she said pointing it to him.

While Danial was explaining it to her Isla was looking at him with all her attention. Danial was an excellent teacher. He explained the entire page to her linking things and giving examples to her. He also patiently answered all the questions that she asked .

"Anything else? " He asked with a smile.

"No. Now I can do it." She said.

" Ohk.... Then complete it. After this we will go and have lunch." He said patting her head. Stood up and went to his desk to continue his work.

Though she was looking into the file her mind was somewhere else. She was scared. She was terrified with the way he was behaving with her so nicely.

She knew that she had started to fall in love with him. The conditions that he put forward prior to their marriage were vivid in her mind. She was finding it difficult to control her emotions. She wanted to cry and tell somebody. But she didn't have anyone to confide to.

FLASHBACK END

Grace was sitting in the living room, waiting for Isla.

"Mother you called me?"

"Yeah. Come on, sit beside me." Grace said patting the space beside her as Isla came.

Grace was looking at her with such adoration in her eyes. " Would you like to come with me to meet Julie?"

"Okay mother." She said.

" Go and get dressed. I will wait for you outside."

While Isla was getting ready, she wondered why her mother in law asked her to visit julie out of no where today. But then she again thought that it would be just a little get together with her.

Grace took Isla to visit julie in the hospital. Today julie was sitting in OPD. There were so many patients waiting outside her cabin. Pregnant ladies with their husbands and relatives were waiting for their turn.

Grace decided to wait outside for there turn.

After some time when nearly all the patients had gone , Grace and Isla went in. Isla had no idea why Grace insisted on visiting Julie in the OPD. She could call her to Lee mansion over dinner if she wanted to meet.
