Chapter 13. To the guest room.......

When grandfather reached with Isla to the manor, Grace was waiting for him and her husband in the hall. When she heard voices coming from the entrance, and became anxious.

Earlier her husband told her about the accident of their son. She was a mother.And only heart of a mother knows what she went through after knowing about her son's accident.

She was anxiously roaming around the entire house but couldn't go to see her son. William wanted to keep it confidential as long as possible and specially to his younger brother, Charles Lee.

He had known that ever since He and his son, Daniel, were given the Lee empire to lead , the wife of his younger brother was not happy with it. She wanted her husband and her daughter to be the successor of the group and this was just her wishful thinking. The empire couldn't be given to her husband, not only because he was a younger son, but also because he was not capable to handle it.

He was just one of the major share holders of the group. His father, Elder Lee, didn't even give any other position to him in the company because according to him, he did not deserve it. And this was the reason his wife always held grudge against the entire family.

Elder Lee was coming inside through the main entrance while holding one of the hands of Isla. It was one in the morning. Rest of the members of the family were resting in there respective rooms. Only Grace was anxiously waiting for them in the entrance. When she saw grandfather coming while holding the hand of a young girl. She frowned her brows questioningly.

She went forward hurriedly and asked "Father, how is my son? Where is he? Is he alright?"

"Your son is perfectly fine. He went through some minor surgeries. But now he has regained his consciousness. He will be discharged tomorrow. You can see him then." said grandfather plainly to her. Grace let out a sigh of relief.

Then she noticed Isla "Who is this beautiful girl?" she asked giving a light smile to her. Isla was scared that rest of the family members will not accept her.

"She is the granddaughter of my dear comrade who is no more in this world. And also the saviour of your son. And now she will live with us, in this manor. You better treat her well" said grandfather Lee sternly.

Isla bowed her head and greeted Grace, " Hello , my name is Isla Jones. Nice to meet you" She said in a very soft voice which was barely audible to Grace.

Grace held her hands and smiled her her. "Oh such a nice child. Call me 'aunt' .Welcome to the manor baby." She hugged Isla.

Isla was pleasantly surprised by Grace's reaction. She thought there would be a lady who would make things difficult for her and treat her badly. But Grace was not like that. She smiled and hugged her back.

What she didn't know was that there were other members in the family who might make things difficult for her.

"For now you can rest in one of the guest rooms. Tomorrow I will prepare your room first thing in the morning." Grace smiled at her and Isla nodded. Then Grace lead her the way towards a guest room in the ground floor itself.
