CH 4: little snake?

(third person POV)

Just as he finished speaking, Ali slowly opened his eyes. About damn time. And once he opened his eyes, he looked at the little snake and the wings behind him with amazement :"whoa..."

Not wanting to worry him, Mu En smiled at his adopted son :"congratulations, Ali, You have awakened your martial souls. How do you feel?"

Ali gently scratched the snake's head while it was in his right hand as he clenched and unclenched his left hand with a smile :"better than ever, grandpa.

I feel like my body has gotten a lot stronger than before. And it also feels like my heart is beating harder than ever. It's actually making my chest vibrate a little!"

Mu En chuckled as he gave a gentle nod :"that's because one of your martial souls is your heart. You are very lucky and extraordinary, Ali, you are the first person in history to awaken three martial souls."

Ali's eyes went wide as he looked at him with shock :"wait, are you serious?! So that's why my body felt hot..."

Ali had wished for two martial souls, but he never thought that he will actually awaken three martial souls!

At first, he thought that the little snake in his hand was the martial soul with ultimate fire, and the wings on his back were obviously his Necrofriggian martial soul, but he couldn't have guessed that his own HEART would have become the martial soul with the ultimate fire!

However, even though they were surprised, they still smiled fondly at the kind child of Shrek academy.

Seeing that there was no more danger for Ma Xiaotao, Yan Shaozhe smiled at his young disciple :"alright, it seems like everything is back to normal. I will take back the soul power shield now."

Ma Xiaotao nodded while looking at Ali with amazement. But the moment the soul power barrier disappeared, the amazed expression disappeared.

Feeling both the ultimate fire and ice, Ma Xiaotao's Evil Fire Phoenix felt endangered and immediately raged!

"Ahhh!" With a roar, Ma Xiaotao's martial soul was released as a pair of red, feathery wings enveloped in flames appeared on her back.

She wanted to rush towards Ali and attack him, but Yan Shaozhe immediately formed the soul power barrier around her again :"shit! What the hell happened?!"

Xuan Zi frowned as he looked at the mad Ma Xiaotao who was desperately attacking the barrier around her :"her Evil Fire Phoenix must've felt threatened by Ali's ultimate fire and ice, so it wanted to eliminate the danger. This is bad."

But just when he finished speaking, the little snakes eyes flashed a cold, blackish purple light before it opened its mouth and started absorbing the flames of Ma Xiaotao!

The speed of devouring was not slow. It felt like the snakes mouth was a damn black hole! While all of them were shocked from the turn of events, the Evil Fire Phoenix of Ma Xiaotao gave a pained screech before it was weakened to the point where it returned back to Ma Xiaotao's body as she passed out.

The moment she fell passed out, the snake closed its mouth as it hissed before both Ali and the snake began to squirm a bit.

Ali moved his hand to his small back with a pained expression as he gritted his teeth :"w-what is going on?! Ugh, why is my back burning?!"

The elders wanted to come to his side to check his situation, but Ali's question was answer as the the snake that had closed its eyes suddenly opened its eyes!

But what was shocking, was that a pair of red, feathery wings came out of its back! And the moment they came out of its back, a pair of red, feathery wings also came out of Ali's back as well!

They all looked at him in shock as 3 pairs of wings spread on Ali's back! 2 pairs were his own Necrofriggian's wings, but the other pair that came out from a little above the 2 pairs was Ma Xiaotao's wings!

None of them had ever seen something like this happen! Heck, even Mu En and Xuan Zi were wide eyed!

Mu En quickly looked at Yan Shaozhe with a serious face as he commanded :"Shaozhe! Quickly check Xiaotao's condition!"

He had a guess of what must've happened and what Ali's snake martial soul did, but they all prayed that their guess wasn't correct.

Yan Shaozhe immediately put his hand on Ma Xiaotao's wrist and neck as he checked her situation with a worried and anxious face.

But after a moment, he relaxed as he let out a long sigh of relief before he turned to Mu En :"teacher, it's alright. It's not that, Ma Is completely fine and her so is her martial soul."

Hearing his words, they all let out sighs of relief as Ali looked at them with confusion as he tilted his head :"grandpa, gramps, uncle Shaozhe, what are you all talking about? What happened?"

Xuan Zi sighed as he walked to Ali's side and gently grabbed his wrist :"let me check your situation, then I will explain.
