1 CH 1: A new beginning

(Third person POV)

"Old Mu, what the hell do you think is happening?" An old man with long hair and a bear along with a mustache frowned.

Even though the man was old, he still had a back as straight as a teenagers. But the aura that he gave off, was something no young person could have.

But the person next to him, seemed to be quite the opposite. He was sitting on a chair that was a little away from being a bed.

He was wearing a white robe with what seemed to be a... Toy duck under his hood... Huh, interesting fashion.

Standing next to the previously mentioned old man, he seemed like any ordinary elder just resting on his chair.

But the serious expression on his face and the deep eyes gave the feeling that he knew everything in the world and could see through anything in existence.

As for the reason for why both of them were so serious, was because the world seemed like it was in chaos.

The dark clouds had completely overshadowed the lands, Thunder and lightning were roaring like enraged dragons.

There was also an extremely weird phenomenon occuring. The world, was hot. Extremely hot.

To the point where every being in this world felt like they were going to burn to death from inside out.

But what was even weirder, was that they were also cold. A freezing cold that felt like it would freeze their flesh, bones, nerves, and even their soul power and spirits.

And what was even weirder than any of this, was that none of it was happening. They were freezing and burning, but there were no burn marks more were there any ice on them.

The people of this world thought what is happening is just an illusion, but everything happening to them was too real.

It felt like the end of the world had arrived, the clouds were getting darker and darker, with the roars of the lightnings getting louder and louder by the second.

The world had become impossibly dark, as if the sun had stopped shining. The only reason why these two old men could see and witness was happening, was because of their strength.

As for the normal people of this world, all of them had passed out from the excruciating pain of burning and freezing at the same time.

Only the strong was able to stay awake and witness what was happening. What these signs of calamity meant. What was going to happen to the world.

And these two old men, were two of the strongest humans in this world, the world of Douluo Dalu, Mu En and Xuan Zi.

The Sea God Pavilion Master and the Shrek Guardian Captain of the second Douluo Dalu. But even these strong men, felt slight fear when witnessing what was happening.

Mu En shook his head with a serious face as he sighed :"I don't know, Elder Xuan. I have never seen this kind of phenomenon in my entire life.

And I do not know what we must do, but hope for the best. I have already told Yan Shaozhe to inform any person who is awake to stand guard and defend the academy if anything happens."

Xuan Zi frowned with a face as serious as Mu En's on his face :"do you think it's perhaps that old bastard Di Tian's doing?"

But Mu En shook his head in denial :"no, even though Di Tian is extremely powerful, he cannot effect the whole world like this.

This is something else... It's like... The work of a god. The ability to change and effect the entire world can only be wielded by that kind of existence."

Hearing his words, Xuan Zi was slightly relieved, but his frown deepened even more :"but, why would a god cause such a thing?

Even though the weird phenomenon doesn't kill anyone at the moment, it has affected everybody. If something happens, a lot of people will be injured, or even worse, killed."

Mu En sighed helplessly:"that's why I said, we can only hope for the best. My mental power has been weakened a lot, but as much as I can sense the surrounding, everybody is affecte-!"

But the moment he finished speaking, a whole appeared in the clouds and a ray of sunshine was finally able to get to the earth.

Even though the whole wasn't big, with how dark the world was at the moment with the only light being the lightnings, it was extremely easy to notice it.

The two old men stopped talking immediately and focused on what was about to happen. The lightnings that were flashing randomly, suddenly transformed into dragons!

Not real dragons, but they took the shape of dragons. And every single one of them headed towards the light.

It seemed like a fight was about to happen, but no. The moment the lightning dragons got close to the light, they all began to fly and dance around it, forming a tornado of dragons!

The old men felt many things while watching the scene, awe, surprise, slight fear, and interest. But the nest moment, their eyes went wide at the same time.

From the hole in the clouds, a Black and purple light suddenly exited and flew towards the land! Not wanting to take any risks, the old men didn't go towards the falling light and just watched from afar.

They didn't take their eyes off of it even for a single moment, wanting to see what it was. But no matter what, they couldn't see what was inside of the light.

The lightning dragons continued on flying, but the moment the light hit the ground, it was like a giant explosion happened inside of the clouds.

The black clouds that were previously overshadowing the earth, spread along with the thunder dragons before disappearing with a speed visible to the naked eye.

The two looked at each other before nodding as Mu En said :"let's go and check it out. Who knows what it is."

Even though he looked so old and fragile, he got up with a hunched back before both he and Xuan Zi flew towards where the light had landed.

And luckily for them, the light had actually landed just a few kilometers out of the Shrek academy, so it didn't take long to reach it.

But when they finally reached the place, their eyes went wide with shock at the scene in front of them.

There was a giant hole in the ground, indicating that the light had definitely landed there, but that wasn't what shocked them.

In the middle of the giant hole, there was a child. A new born, sleeping child wrapped I simple robes.

Xuan Zi, with eyes so wide open that they might fall out, stared at the child :"o-oy, old Mu, you're seeing this too, right?"

The expression on Mu En's face wasn't much better than Xuan Zi's :"yes, that is... Definitely a child..."

But as they just stood outside of the hole, watching the child, the child steered as it began to cry :"Waa! Waaa! (Translation: Waa, waa, baby majesty wants milk! Somebody fetch me a nipple!)

Seeing that the child seems to be just a normal... Child, they both nodded at each other before they carefully walked towards it.

Since Mu En had back problems, Xuan Zi got on one knee and gently picked up the child :"what...? That light... Was a child...?"

Not feeling the rough surface of the earth anymore, the child opened its eyes as it looked at the old man with curious eyes.

Xuan Zi also stared into the unusually red eyes of the child. Unique colors weren't that uncommon in this world, but the child's eyes, looked like as if they could bleed.

After a few moments of staring at each other, the child started giggling as it reached out and grabbed Xuan Zi's beared.

As it kept on giggling, it also kept on pulling on Xuan Zi's beared, toying around with the old man's ancient beared.

And damn, it didn't have any mercy while pulling on his beared. Even though it was a just a child, he was putting all his force on pulling on em.

Xuan Zi's face morphed into different shapes as his beared was pulled :"o-oy! Stop pulling on my beared, you brat!"

But it seems like his words only made the child even more excited as it played even more with his beard.

Finally having had enough, Xuan Zi raised his hand to the child's small hands before his soul power flowed and gently made the child let go of his beared :"alright, that's enough, you brat."

The little child looked at its hands and blinked in curiosity while also glancing at Xuan Zi's hand :"guh?"

Seeing that he had the child's attention, Xuan Zi raised an eyebrow and made his soul power flow in front of the child :"oh? You like this?"

The child blinked in curiosity and interest as it reached out with its small hands and touched the soul power.

And once it did, a warm and comforting sensation flowed to its hands, causing it to giggle again at the ticklish feeling.

Seeing the cute child giggling so happily, Xuan Zi unconsciously smiled at it :"what the hell? Isn't it too cute?"

Mu En who was watching all along chuckled as he nodded :"yeah, it's quite cute. But, what is its origin?

Why did he suddenly fall from the sky? I sensed its body just now, but it is just a normal human.

And why was there such a phenomenon just now? This is too confusing... Sigh, whatever. We will know in due time.

Since the child was the cause of what just happened, we will surely find out what happened today in the future.

We can't let such a small child just stay here and die after all. Elder Xuan, give it to me. Let me take a look at it."

Xuan Zi nodded before gently handing the child to Mu En. Once the child sensed that it was in someone else's arms, it looked up again with curious eyes :"uuh?"

Seeing the cute, big eyes of the child, Mu En chuckled gently as he smiled :"hello, child. It's nice to meet you.

My name is Mu En, the person that picked you up is called Xuan Zi. From now on, you will be taken care of by us."

Xuan Zi thought it was silly how Mu En introduced them, after all, it was just a new born child.

How could it understand them? But the next second, he was a little surprised when the child let out a happy cry :"uuh!"

Making Mu En chuckle :"happy to know that you're excited to see us, little boy. Let's get along from now on."

While he was searching and sensing his body for anything weird, he also found out that he was a boy.

The small child happily swung his arms around, making happy noises, and unintentionally making his robe fall a little.

"Oh? What's this?" Mu En raised an eyebrow when he saw a mark on the child's chest, right where his heart was.

He moved the robes to take a better look, and he saw that it was actually a name :"Ali... Is that your name?"

And to the surprise of both of them, the little boy got even more happy once he heard the name. Mu En smiled as he nodded gently :"I see, then your name is Ali. Alright then, Ali. Let's get along from now on."

Xuan Zi raised an eyebrow in amusement :"are you planning on raising Ali? Aren't you old for that?"

Mu En chuckled once again as he nodded :"yes. Even though I'm old and I only have a few years to live, I think it will be fun to raise this child.

I'm going to go anyway, might as well let this small child grow up into a splendid young man. Let's hope for the best."

<Hope you like it, because of having other fanfics to write, I will post at least one chapter every 4 days>
