9 Ch 9: The Auditore family

Ezio sighed with frustration and embarrassed as she blushed and rubbed her temples while Ali chuckled and Federico outright laughed at her reaction :"cazzo (fuck)..."

Hearing Claudia's excited screams, everyone was alarmed at first. But the moment they heard her sentence, shock took over them before joy!

After Claudia's, it was another woman's voice which sounded significantly older than hers :"che cosa (what)?! cosa hai detto (what did you say), Claudia?!"

There were sounds of hurried footsteps and doors getting opened and closed as Claudia's was heard again :"ho detto, ha portato un uomo a casa (i said, she has brought a man home)! è anche molto bello (he is also very handsome)!"

As Ezio, who was covering her face from shame blushed even more while Federico laughed at her misery, it seems that Claudia and the older female who seems to be her mother met up :"madre, Vieni con me (mother, come with me)!

è proprio lì con i fiori in mano (he is right there with flowers in his hand)! He is also very handsome, very suitable for sister!"

As the footsteps continued, Claudia once again appeared with a charming for her age lady who Ali immediately recognised as Ezio's mother, Maria Auditore, alongside her.

She wasn't on the milf list or where we would put her in at least, but she was definitely a charming and beautiful lady for someone with four children who were all in their teens or even older.

She walked through a door and stopped as she looked at the two protagonists, Ezio and Ali with raised eyebrow and a thoughtful expression before proving who Ezio took after :"I have to say Ezio, with how you were acting untill now, I always thought that men just might not suit your taste, which I would still support you even if that was the case.

Haha But now I see that you just have extremely high standards. Cause my, oh my. you may have found a gem, my dear daughter."

Ezio huffed with embarrassment from the situation and gave a gentle jab to Ali was chuckling beside her :"it's not like that, mother. He is a friend that we made today. He doesn't hav-"

But just before she could continue her explanation, a door suddenly getting opened hurriedly and a middle aged man walked out with a look of surprise, excitement and happiness :"ho sentito bene (did I hear that right)?

My ears aren't playing tricks on me, are they? My dear daughter who had rejected every proposal of marriage or engagement has brought a man home?

Where is he? Where is thi- oh my goodness, now I see who was able to capture even the heart of my daughter.

With looks like that and a strong body such as your own, it would be weird if a girl didn't end up falling for you.

In fact, that would probably confirm our suspicioun of her "tastes" if she didn't want even you."

Ezio huffed again, but before the blushing mess of a girl could explain anything, Ali took a few steps forward and bowed a little towards the man who seems to be Ezio's father, Giovanni Auditore :"è un piacere conoscerla, signore (it's a pleasure to meet you, sir).

My name is Ali Ashborne. I have just moved to Florence some time ago out of desire for adventuring.

But I'm sad to say that me and the beautiful lady Ezio are not a couple. Not at the moment at least *winks at Ezio, causing her to blush a little*.

I had my first meeting with Ezio and Federico just today and they helped me through a problem of a few fools trying to rob me of my money.

And they also found out about my stay at the inn for several days now and invited me to live at your home.

I'm thankful for the kindness that they have showed me already and I hope that it doesn't seem like I am taking advantage of it.

May I humbly ask that if it isn't a trouble and a hassle, you would let me stay at your home? At least untill I have enough money to buy one for myself.

Oh, and here you go, signora (lady) Auditore. Just a small gift for my sudden and uninvited visit. I hope that you like it."

Giovanni and Maria shared a look at each other as so did Ezio and Federico when Maria chuckled :"my goodness, Ezio.

Not only is he and extremely handsome young man, he is also polite and humble. But I can see that he walks with just the right amount of pride.

But he isn't arrogant. It seems that I didn't overestimate when I said that you have found a gem. Truly a good choice."

Giovanni also nodded in agreement as he stood by Maria with a smile on his face :"agreed. You are indeed correct, my love.

It would an understatement to say that it's hard to come by such a promising young man nowadays with how arrogant all of them are.

And I agree with your request, Ali. You are welcome to stay at the Auditore house for as long as you need.

There are more than enough rooms to spare. But before that, may I ask you something? You're name and looks don't seems to be from around here.

It also seems that you are alone. Oh, right. How careless of me, you said that you are a traveler. Where are you from?"

Ezio gave her father a glare which he ignored but made Ali chuckle as he nodded :"well, yes, I am a traveler. In fact, I am a Turk, hence my name Ali which is from the middle east.

And my looks, well, the grandparents of both my father and mother were from Russia before they traveled to middle east and stayed there.

Resulting in my looks of between a Russian and a young man from middle east. And as for the reason I am traveling alone...

Sigh, well, my parents passed away sometime ago and left me all alone in this world with just a few people to be able to call friends.

in fact, it was the same old friend who is just like a mother figure to me that gifted these necklaces that me and Ezio are wearing just a few minutes ago through a letter.

So because of that, I traveled here, to the beautiful Florence. A place that I have always thought of visiting at least once for some reason or another.

And that same visit brought upon my first meeting with Ezio and the Auditore family. Haha So I think it would be fair to call all of this fate."

Maria who was a mother of four children, had her instincts as a mother kicked in when she saw the sad smile on Ali's face when he talked about his deceased parents.

So she gave the flowers to Giovanni to hold as she moved forward and gave Ali a warm hug and rubbed his back comfortably :"my goodness, child. You must have gone through a lot even though you are only this young.

It's alright. You can stay here for as long as you want. It would break my heart to see such a polite and gentlemanly young man so hurt.

And there is no need to call me lady. You can just go ahead and call me aunt Maria. Just as you said, it must be fate that brought you here. So let fate take its course."

Ali gave a shaky smile as he fought back the tears and nodded :"mhm, Grazie (thank you), aunt Maria."

Everybody else looked at the fluffy scene from the sidelines which warmed up their hearts as Maria continued to rub his back soothingly for a few seconds before she let go and chuckled :"you can get comfortable here like it's your own home.

Haha you can also spend a lot more time with Ezio and will have more time to win over her heart and deepen your relationship."

Ezio stomped her foot as she looked at her mother's mischievous eyes with embarrassment and shyness :"madre (mother)! Hmph! Me and Ali aren't like that yet!"

The mischievous glint in Maria's eyes grew as she looked at her daughter with a raised eyebrow :"oh? Yet? You mean it will happen later on?"

Ezio was speechless as she opened her mouth to fight back, but her shyness didn't help as she stomped her foot and walked into the house :"hmph! Lunch should be ready by now, right?! I'm hungry and I'm going to eat!"

Maria laughed at her and then looked back at the taller young man :"alright, she's right, Ali. Lunch is ready and we should all eat."

Maria then looked at one of the maids of the house as she called her by the name, indicating that she is a good housekeeper and pointed at Ali's stuff :"take Ali's belongings and put them in the room that he will be staying in. Ah, and, be sure to put them in that room, understood?"

The maid nodded eagerly with a smile as she got her meaning :"si, signora (yes, madam)! I will do it right away!"

the maid walked towards them as she held her hands up with a smile :"please give me your belongings, signore (sir) Ali. I will take them to your room for you."

Ali smiled as he gently put the sword on her hands but didn't let go :"be careful, alright? this sword is pretty heavy."

the maid nodded as she grabbed the sword. but surprisingly, she let out a yelp when Ali let go of the sword that he was holding with one hand and the maid nearly fell down.

the other maids quickly came to her side and grabbed the sword together as to support and help the first maid :"my goodness, this sword is heavy."

Giovanni gave a nod of approval as he looked at the two handed sword that was designed in a way to be able to hold in one hand :"handsome, good built, polite and strong. you just keep getting more and more impressive by the minute, Ali."

And the maids walked away despite Ali's confused state :"I feel like you are plotting something, aunt Maria. my sharp senses are telling me."

Maria chuckled as she pushed him gently from behind and led him towards the dinning room :"what does that mean?

Why would you think that? Don't worry and let's just enjoy the delicious lunch that the maids have prepared for us."

Ali just shrugged it off as his instincts would have warn him if it was anything dangerous. And he also knew that Maria was a nice and kind lady, so he trusted her as he let her lead him to the dinning room.

but she stopped when a feminine cough sounded from behind :"cough, cough. madre (mother), non hai intenzione di presentarci (aren't you going to introduce us)?"

when the trio of Giovanni, Maria and Ali looked back, they saw Claudia with her hands on her waist and a young, slightly timid looking boy of early teens beside her.

Maria smiled as she gently pointed at her two youngest children :"excuse my mistake, let me introduce you to Ezio and Federico's younger siblings :"Claudia Auditore who has turned 16 this year and the 13 years old Petruccio Auditore.

I hope that you all will get along. children, don't cause any troubles for our dear guest and possibly future family member *meaningful wink* and get along with him.

Ali scratched the back of his neck with a small blush as he just chuckled cause he didn't know what to say

Claudia smiled as both she and Petruccio {it's gonna be a pain in my goddamn ass to write that name, huh? I have to just paste the damn thing) as they both said :"ciao, è un piacere conoscerti (hello, it's nice to meet you)."

Ali smiled back as he nodded :"hello, you two. it's nice to meet you both. I'm Ali Ashborne as I told everyone, and I'm 17 by the way. hope we get along."

Maria smiled at the interaction but had to interrupt :"alright, children. it's nice and I'm glad to see you all get along, but the food will get cold if we don't eat it. so let's get going already."

Ali/Claudia/Petruccio {🙄}/Federico {the ignored one} :"yes, aunt Maria / mother." they all said as they all walked inside
