49 CH 48: Speedrun

Withe their personal issue of buying a house out of the way, Ali and Ezio made their way towards their first mission.

Ugo had sent them a letter, asking them to meet him at evening on top of the rooftop. And so, they came to see them.

As the walked around the street, because of there being too many fucking guards on the rooftops, they look at the rooftops as Ali said with a slightly bad mood :"once we get there, you sort out the talking, alright?"

Ezio chuckled with an amused shake of her head :"why? Lo detesti così tanto (Do you dislike him that much)?"

Ali snorted with a look of disdain :"Non mi piace (I don't dislike him). I just hate how he acted like his some big shit in our first meeting.

Ho dovuto trattenermi dal rompergli il dannato collo (I had to hold myself back from breaking his damn neck)."

Ezio gave another chuckle as she playfully rolled her eyes :"Tu e il tuo cuore vendicativo (You and your vengeful heart).

Lascia perdere, eravamo tutti sotto pressione e lui è andato nel panico (Just forget about it, we were all under quite a bit of a pressure and he just panicked)."

But Ali snarled with an eye roll :"well, if he doesn't have the balls to handle things like this, he should just sit around instead of getting on my fucking nerves."

Ezio rolled her eyes as well :"Oh, smettila di lamentarti e lamentarti (Oh stop your nagging and whining already).

We have work to do. Oh, he's there. Let's go and get this over with so you don't need to set his eyes on him any longer."

Ali nodded with a sigh as he followed her and they both climbed up the walls and met up with Ugo who Ezio greeted while Ali had his hands in his pockets with a nonchalant face :"Ben trovato (Good to see you), Ugo. What's the trouble?"

Ugo gulped when he saw Ali staring at him nonchalantly. He unconsciously rubbed his neck before he answered Ezio :"You and Rosa managed to escape from Seta, but the others were not so lucky. Emilio's captured them and now they await execution."

Ezio grew serious as she asked :"Do you know where they're being held?" And Ugo was being his useless self :"I know they're still in the district, but beyond that, no. You'll have to look for them."

Ali behind Ezio rolled his eyes :'of course you wouldn't know. The only thing you do know is how to make excuses and how to get on people's nerves.'

But Ezio wasn't as dissatisfied as Ali, so she nodded :"alright, we'll have your brothers back in no time."

Ugo nodded before they parted ways with him and the two made their way towards where Ali's map had marked.

As they ran on the rooftops, Ali sighed in annoyance :"what the hell is up with thieves sense of direction anyway?

First, when we rescued Rosa, she said that we should go to the water. In most cities, it wouldn't be much of a problem to know where they are talking about.

But Venezia has water everywhere! And now this Ugo guys. His bitch ass says that they're being held prisoners in the district.

Couldn't your bitch ass look for them instead of thinking of what excuses you're going to use?! Does he have any ideas on how long it would take for us to find them if not because of my "gift"?!"

Ezio just stayed silent as they ran towards their destination. Gaining Ali's hatred and getting inside his blacklist wasn't easy, but getting out of it was near impossible.

So she just let him complain about the stupidity of that idiot Ugo. She didn't really disagree with Ali either.

He was telling the truth. If not for his map, then who knows how long it would take to find those prisoned thieves?

But after a little while of running on the rooftops while avoiding the archers, they finally reached their first destination to see some thieves inside a cage.

"Hah! Listen to them squeal." One of the guards mocked as he pushed his spear inside to stab them or something.

Guard 2 :"Pathetic. It's no wonder their master hides."

Guard 1 :"Where is Emilio? I'd like to be rid of this trash."

The two waited for the right moment to strike, but luckily for the guards, the guards actually chose to walk away with only one of them staying back.

There were guards at the alley way, but they didn't matter since the thieves could climb the walls.

Ali looked at Ezio and nodded :"Tu rimani qui e fai la guardia mentre io vado a salvarli (You stay here and keep watch while I go and save them).

After that, you protect their dumb asses and take them to where Ugo is. While you do that, I will go and save another bunch of guards.

If you can, after those thieves got to Ugo, go and save the other guards as well. You already know where they are."

Ezio nodded before Ali climbed down and got behind the guard who died after Ali stabbed him with his hidden blade.

After putting the guard aside, Ali smirked at the thieves who got up excitedly as he shushed them with a finger over his lips.

After unlocking the lock, and gently closing the door, Ali quietly whispered the plan to them before they climbed up to where Ezio was while Ali climbed up to another wall and ran off.

Honestly, the entire mission was easier than a walk in the park for the two. It's just that it was really annoying.

After rescuing all of the thieves, Ezio who finally arrived as well walked towards Ali who was just ignoring Ugo.

After giving him a kiss to make his mood better, she pointed at the thieves she just rescued and reported to Ugo :"there, it's done."

Ugo nodded as he praised while being slightly happy that his friends are safe :"I'm impressed. I didn't expect you to succeed so quickly."

Ali snorted with his arms folded in front of his chest :"Beh, altrimenti non saremmo professionisti (Well, we wouldn't be professionals otherwise)."

Ugo gave him a quick glare, but he stopped doing even that when Ali eyes went wide in anger as he snarled :"I-I'll let Antonio know of our progress. Come find me later. I've got another job for you."

Ezio :"What sort of job?"

Ugo :"Meet me near the docks and I'll explain."

Ezio :"Molto bene (Very well). We'll be there."

After they parted ways once again, the two got to the ground as they walked towards their house.

While walking hand in hand, Ezio sighed helplessly :"Lo odi seriamente, eh (You seriously hate his guts, huh)?"

Ali snarled in response :"hate his guts? I wanna tear them out. Il bastardo ha le palle per fissarmi (The bastard has the balls to glare at me)!

Dovrebbe essere contento che non gli abbia cavato gli occhi proprio lì (He should be happy that I didn't pluck his eyes out right there)."

Ezio chuckled helplessly before she shook her head with a smile :"let's forget about him. Se non ti piace così tanto, allora dovresti semplicemente ignorarlo (If you dislike him that much, then you should just ignore him).

This isn't like the other times where you can just kill the person who made you angry. Since he is one of the important members of the people we're trying to befriend, you can't kill him.

And besides, you're spoiling the mood, you know? Let's just forget about him and enjoy each other's company!"

Seeing the reasoning and how he could just spend his time with Ezio instead of screwing his mood because of an idiot, he nodded with a smirk :"you're right. Then how about a midnight date, Ashkim (my love)?"

Ezio giggled as Ali pulled her hand to his mouth and kissed the back of her hand with a wink :"Sarebbe un onore per me, signore (It would be my honor, sir)."

<So, there isn't a clear answer as to the time skip between the missions in sequence 7 since all of the missions are just 1481-1485. So, just ignore it>

Once again, Ali and Ezio arrived at the place that Ugo had told them to come, near the docks some distance away from the thieve's guild.

Ugo :"Rescuing my brothers was more than just an act of charity, Ezio, Ali. The men you freed will play a vital role in the weeks to come. Just ask for their help, and they'll join you."

Ezio :"And once we have our little band of thieves?"

Ugo :"Send them towards a group of guards and they'll create a distraction..."

Ezio :"...opening the way for us."

Ugo :"Exactly."

Ezio :"Saves me from having to bloody my sword. I like it."

Ugo :"Exactly. Now I'll tell you what to do with them. Antonio's plan calls for a bit of deception. We're to imitate his archers, which means we'll need the armor that they wear.

A shipment of the stuff has just been loaded into chests and now awaits delivery to Seta. Loot the chests and retrieve the outfits.

When that's finished, I'll need you to fetch me a boat as well and bring it back here. We'll use it to move our men into the Palazzo undetected."

Ezio :"Consider it done."

And well, obviously it didn't take long at all neither was it any problem as the two completed the task as if they were doing a Speedrun.

After they brought the boat back, Ugo nodded and thanked them :"Molto bene (Very good), Ezio, Ali. This is exactly what we needed. I'll let Antonio know you've finished the job."

The two were walking towards the thieve's guild to see what else there was for them to do. But they saw Rosa standing with a walking stick in her hand.

During the time they have spent helping the thieve's guild, they have also met Rosa quite a few times.

Even though there were a few arguments between her and Ali because of their hot temper, they still managed to become friends.

So, when they saw her, both of them walked towards her with smiles as Ali gave a quick wave :"hey, Rosa. What's up?"

Ezio also smiled as she greeted her friend :"Salute, Rosa (Hello, Rosa). You seem to be healing well."

The charming Rosa smiled back as she nodded at them :"How are you finding Venezia, you two?"

Ezio shrugged as she joked :"It has its charms. But how do you deal with the smell? Che schifo (How disgusting)!"

They all shared a laughter before Rosa asked with a smile :"So, what brings you to me?" Ali chuckled as he shrugged :"we didn't actually have any business with you at the moment. But seeing you, I was reminded of something. And I think you can help me with that."

Rosa bat her eyelashes with a seductive smile :"And that would be...?" Ali smirked as he placed his index finger under chin and made her look up to him :"I want to learn to climb the way you do."

"Oh." Rosa said with an slightly awkward face as she leaned away from Ali's hand before she smiled again :"Va bene (Alright.)

I can do that. Well, I can't, but Franco can. Franco! Muovi il culo (move your ass)! Show Ezio and Ali how to reach the top of that scaffolding."

Ezio on beside Ali smiled in satisfaction, seeing that Ali didn't flirt with Rosa. She then watched with Ali as Rosa explained how it's done while Franco demonstrated :"Begin in a hanging position then jump to the ledge above you. As you reach it, grab it with your hand and pull yourself up. There. See how it works?"
