"Wow! I am the male lead mother!"

"What's with this fishy and rusty smell?"

Mila asked herself before she could open her eyes.

She actually doesn't want to open her eyes yet, as she can still feel the effects of drinking too much alcohol. It was last night that she attended her high school reunion and guessed that she blacked out somewhere.

She massaged her temples while keeping her eyes closed, but the strong, pungent smell made her force herself to open her eyes. Also, her body felt sticky, and the place she was lying was too hard to keep lying on.

"What the fuck?"

Mila cursed the moment the black field appeared in her vision. She pinched her cheeks to check if she was still dreaming.

"What kind of nightmare is this?"

She can't believe that she's dreaming a horrifying dream.

The black field in front of her was made of blood with a lot of corpses lying in it. She imagined a field of blood to be red, but it was actually black, similar to the color of death.

She slaps her cheeks because pinching doesn't wake her up, though the slap was not effective either.

"Aaaaaah!!!!"

Mila screamed. She tried to get up and was about to take her first steps into a world she didn't recognize when a decapitated head became stuck on her boots and began swinging with her legs.

"Help!"

Her voice just echoed back to her without anyone responding.

"Ha ha ha. Of course, how can corpses respond to me?"

Mila's body trembles while she removes the hair from the decapitated head that got caught on her boot.

ha ha ha

She was laughing and crying at the same time. Mila's nightmare was so realistic that it made her body unable to respond to her will.

"Mila!"

"Who is calling me?" She turned her head toward the person who suddenly called her name and felt relieved that there was finally someone she could ask for help.

An armored guy suddenly popped out of nowhere and ran in her direction.

Although it's such a relief that someone will rescue her, she once again cowered in fear.

The appearance of the man is so disturbing that she can't even keep her eyes on him for long.

The guy was covered in blood so that even his skin couldn't be seen. Mila could also see that the guy's teeth were also stained with blood. The guy was wearing worn-out armor, and with him he carried a cracked shield.

"Are you okay, Mila?" The guy leant on her and checked her body. Mila looked up at the guy even though he was already kneeling in front of her.

Mila saw the guy as tall and imposing, which led Mila to believe that the guy was not human.

She had been staring at the guy, which made him call out Mila's name again. "Mila? Are you okay?"

She was about to respond to the guy, but she paused once again.

"Wait? When did my name become Mila?" She asked inwardly, wondering how she had naturally responded to the name Mila, even though it was not her name.

Suddenly, she became confused, and she held her head to organize her thoughts.

"What's going on? Why do I think my name is Mila? I am Ethel!" She said inwardly. She was sure that this was just a nightmare or a dream, but at the same time, she got confused because of how realistic her dream was.

"Did you have an injury in your head?" the guy worriedly asked, grabbing both Mila's hands to prevent her from pulling her hair.

The guy keeps talking to her, but she can't focus on any of the guy's words. An unusual thing is happening inside her head. Memories of someone she didn't know suddenly entered her mind. Mila's entire memory flashed inside her head, like it was being recorded in her brain at great speed.

"Mila Esclamado!" the guy shouted because she's not responding.

Mila described the guys' yelling as ringing a bell for her. All of a sudden, she remembers the name Esclamado.

She doesn't know about Mila but the name Escalmado is something she can't easily forget.

"It's the main lead's family name!" she exclaimed.

"Did I read too much novel? Why am I dreaming about that novel? Ah! That is why this scene is so gory!" she mumbled.

She calmed down after realizing that she was still probably in her own dream.

"Then there is no need to fear dying! This is just a dream!" Mila excitedly said, and also, her shaking stopped.

"What are you saying, Mila?" The guy was so confused by Mila's behavior that it made him look more worried toward Mila.

"What's your name?" Mila asked as she tried to guess that the guy was probably one of the novel's characters.

"Robert Aston." Robert responded, even though he felt strange about Mila's question.

"Really? Waaah! Nice to meet you!" Mila was excited to meet one of the important characters in the novel. "I just hope I can see your bare face! You're too covered in blood!"

Slap!

She was about to touch Robert's face, but her hand was slapped.

"Ah, I am sorry. I was carried away." Mila said, with her brightest smile. She doesn't get angry even though her hand was slapped because she thought there was no need to be offended if it was only a dream. She also knew that Robert's character was like that.

"You really need to get checked." Robert said as he picked up Mila and carried her in his arms.

Mila appeared small on Robert's arm because of his bulky physique.

"Your son needs you, so stay in the right mind." Robert said as soon as he started to walk.

"Son? Whose son?" Mila tilted her head and tried to recall Mila's memories. She can't actually fully recall the original Mila's memories if she didn't look into it manually. It was like her brain became a storage space for original Mila's memories for her to check on.

"Wow! I am the male lead mother!" She shouted excitedly.
