The Star Alignment Array

Again they seemed hesitant to say. 

"This isn't something you can just interfere with. Maybe you can defeat us but you can't hope to defeat an Immortal, much less stop their plans. Even if you were to do so, you're risking the lives of everyone in this city!"

One of them tried to dissuade her but Ming Yue was resolute. 

"Just tell me."

They could see that she wasn't going to budge and so they revealed it. 

"It is a formation."

The cultivator could already feel a headache coming along. 

"Of course, it is", she thought. 

"Not just any formation but one that spans the entirety of this place, It harnesses the energy of the world and channels it back into that massive Spatial Crack. Doing so will destroy it and harm the forces beyond it. In other words, it will end the cycle. But for now, it has been slowly gathering that energy and sealing it away underneath the city."

Ming Yue was quiet when she heard this.
