34 Gaia's Back!

Gaia wanted to see Kevin but Dexter stopped her.

Earlier ...

"I need to talk to Kevin," Gaia insisted to Dexter. Dexter shakes his head, "Kevin is too stressed right now, Gaia. He's very busy with your sister's wedding,"

Gaia was immediately taken aback by what she heard from Dexter. Gaia poured water into the glass and drank. They talked for a long time with Dexter in his condo. She felt like she's opening herself up to him.

Dexter's eyebrows met as he looked at Gaia who was now speechless.

"Are you okay?" Dexter immediately questions her as they walk out of the condo.

"No," she replied languidly.

"Just pretend you didn't remember everything when you met," Gaia just stared at Dexter, not knowing what she was going to answer.

"Sir Kevin? I think you're overreacting towards Ms. Maya. I'm not interfering sir, but I remember what you said before. That when you find the girl you're looking for you'll be good to her and every day you will thank her for saving you. I'm not saying this as your secretary, Sir. I'm saying this as a friend," Kevin immediately realized what Anthon said.

He's right. Kevin's only wished when he saw that girl who saved him was to thank her and treat her well. But what happened was the opposite of it. He's annoyed at her. He didn't treat her well, instead, he threw a lot of curse words at her. 

Kevin let out a deep sigh. He just realizes that Anthon was right.

"Am I too harsh on her?" Anthon nods his head. 

Maya was already outside her condo when Kevin suddenly called her. She sighed before she answered.

"Hello? Are you going to scold me again?" she utters. 

"No, I wanted to say that, I'm sorry," Maya was immediately surprised by what she heard.

"What? Did you just say sorry to me?" she asked. 

"Yes. I said I'm sorry. I realize I was too harsh on you. Forgive me," he said. 

"I'll treat you to dinner. I'll be waiting for you," he said and ended the call. 

Hindi maipaliwanag ni Maya ang saya na kanyang nadama. Alam niyang galit siya kay Kevin pero isang sorry lang niya ay nanghihina at lumalambot agad si Maya. 

She was inside her van when her mom calls her. 

"Are you okay?" she immediately asked as Maya answered her call.

"Yes, I am. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine even if without you," she said and end the call. 

Kevin is already inside the resto while waiting for Maya to arrive. He was looking at the window every minute to check if she had arrived.

"Where is she?" Kevin immediately saw Maya outside the door with a wide smile on her lips. She looks like she was at an award ceremony because of her clothes that glow when the light hits them. 

She was smiling at Kevin, "How long have you been waiting for me, Kev?"

"It's okay," 

The two of them sat down while waiting for their order to be served. Maya looked around and noticed that they were the only two in the resto.

"Did you rent the whole restaurant?" Kevin nodded.

"Why?" its startled response.

"Why can't I? I'm just worried that reporters might see you," he said seriously.

For a few seconds, Maya didn't speak and just avoided looking at Kevin.

"I want to know you more, Maya," Maya immediately looked in the young man's direction. Her heartbeat quickened as if it was no longer normal because of its speed.

"Me? You want to know me more?" Maya couldn't believe what she heard from Kevin. He was cold earlier but now, he's such a sweet talker, and even if he doesn't do anything he still gets the attention and hearts of women because of his charisma and sex appeal. 

They were both eating but Maya was staring at him as if she couldn't believe the Kevin in front of her. He was very different from Kevin who had hurt her. The man she's with right now is sweet and a gentleman. 

"Is there a problem?" Maya immediately shook her head and resumed eating. 

That night, Kevin didn't think he could do that. He tried everything he could to correct the sin he had committed against Maya.

Maya stared at the ceiling in her room as she thought about what had happened to her tonight. She's so happy and she has nothing else to ask for. She's falling at him again.

Dexter helped Gaia to find a new place to stay. Smiling, Gaia rolled her eyes around.

The decorations are simple and minimal which is what Gaia liked.

"This is too much, Dexter. I can't accept this," she utters and looked at him. 

"Just accept this, Gaia. I can't help you onto other things, but let me help you just this one," Dexter replied. 

Gaia had no choice but to accept it. She nodded before she went in the direction of the bathroom to get dressed. When she got out and she didn't see Dexter inside anymore. Dexter left a note on the fridge. 

"Just take a rest," he also put a smiley emoji on the end of the text. Gaia smiles and lays down on the sofa. 

Gaia still doesn't lose her thoughts of Kevin. Kevin had been there for her but she didn't realize it. She was blinded by the lies of Doctor Zack. Tears slowly drip from her eyes. Gaia no longer knew what she was going to do. With all she has discovered now, how can she start a new life? Where can she begin? 

She closed her eyes as her tears continued to seep through. She wanted to just disappear and never come back. She wanted to end her life. Because Gaia was helpless, she decided to open the computer inside her room. She began to search for her sister. She had been trending because of their engagement.

She smiles, "You look so happy with her," she slowly leans her hands to the computer while holding Kevin's face. 

"I missed you, Mr. Han," tears drip from her eyes while looking at his face. 

"How? How can I forget about you?" 

Because she cries the whole night, she did not even realize that she had fallen asleep.

That morning, Kevin immediately woke up from his bed and he then notices the medicine on his side table. Anthon left a note.

"I can't go to the company today, Sir. I have something urgent to do. I'll meet you in the evening," 

Kevin stretches his arm before he went up. He then went to the bathroom to do what he usually does. 

Anthon is now staring at the person who calls him and wanted to meet him in secret. Her face is covered because of her hat.

"What do you need? And who are you?" the woman immediately took off her hat and Gaia appeared to Anthon.

He gasped, "Ms. Gaia?" Gaia smiled as their eyes met. He's the happiest person to see her return. Because Anthon couldn't control his pleasure, he hugged Gaia. 

Gaia pats his back, telling him that she's okay. Anthon still staring at her. 

"Do you really remember what happened to you, Ms.?" she replies with a nod. 

"Then, did you see the person who wanted to kill you?" she nods again. 

"We have to report this-"

"Not yet, I'm trying to find some evidence, I need to find my phone. I know she has it," Gaia uttered. 

"It's a woman?" 

"You must not believe this, but it's Kevin's mom," Anthon was surprised. 

"Kevin's mom? Are you sure about that?" Anthon asked her. 

"My memory is clear, Mr. Anthon. I could clearly see her face. She wants me dead, Mr. Anthon! How could I forget about her!" Gaia's chest was blazing into the fire as she mentions Kevin's mom. 

"Should I tell him?"

"Don't,"

"Why? He's been-"

"I know, but please promise me not to tell him. I'll tell him everything when the time comes. Right now, I'm moving secretly to find the evidence. I want all the people who thought I'm dead to be surprised. I want them all to know what had happened to me," 

"Call me if you need anything, Ms. Gaia. I'll help you," Anthon said. 

"Thank you, Mr. Anthon. Thank you for being a good friend," she said and started to walk. 

"By the way, please look after him for me. Give his medicine on time and-"

"What is it?"

"Nothing, I'll get going now," 

Gaia turned around and started walking. She wanted to see Alice. She wanted Alice to know that she's alive. Gaia has arrived at the shop where Alice works. 

Alice was busy serving coffee when she notices a woman was looking at her from outside. She looked out, but the woman was gone. Gaia was immediately hidden in a corner. Her chest throbs as she was hiding. She was let out by not seeing Alice inside. Gaia peeked inside but she could no longer see the girl.

"Who are you? What and who are you looking for?" Gaia was immediately devastated to hear Alice's voice from behind her. 

Alice was looking at the woman with a hat in front of her. The woman was about to walk when she stops it and raised her hand to take off her cap. 

Gaia turned around because of what Alice had done. Her hat is already on the road. She was looking down and wanted to get it when Alice talks.

"Who are you? Introduce yourself?" Gaia immediately raised her head and looked at Alice.

"Alice, long time no see,"
