5 Chapter 5: His Girlfriend

Dexter's gaze softened as he reached out and gently wiped away a tear from my cheek. "You didn't do anything wrong, Gaia. Kevin has built walls around himself, and sometimes he lashes out at the people closest to him. It's not an excuse, but it's a defense mechanism."

"Thank you, Dexter," I said.

"Let's go back, he didn't mean to say those words at you," he said calmly which makes me nod my head.

We were immediately taken back to the mansion. He was on the sofa, reading a book while putting her legs onto his other legs. I looked at him and my blood immediately raises as I saw him. I rolled my eyes and went to my room to change my clothes.

"He is annoying. He didn't even apologize to me? I don't think I can handle someone like him." I said and while changing my clothes. I went down and saw them sitting on the sofa while talking.

"Why are you so rude to her?" Dexter asked him and he didn't respond.

"How rude of him," I irritatedly say as I was walking down to go to the kitchen.

He immediately stood up. He looks at me. "Come with me," he said and he immediately went out. I rolled my eyes and walked towards the door. Dexter speaks and I stop.

"Fighting. Just do your best. I know you can do it," he said with a smile on his face.

"Thank you, Sir. Dexter," I said jokingly and went out.

He was inside the car and I followed. I was about to go inside when he looked at me. "Why are you sitting here?" he asked me. I was so annoyed at him right now.

"Yes? What did you say, Sir?"

"You sit there," he said and points at the front seat. I slammed the door and went to the front seat.

The driver saw me and he was smiling. I was really annoyed when I'm with him. "How can I have a boss like him?" I asked myself in anger.

We arrived at the office. He then went out and I followed him. All the staff from the company stops what they're doing when he arrived. They all bowed their heads and they didn't even make some noises. They were all in the side and he walked in the center.

"Good morning, Mr. CEO," they all uttered and I was surprised. "He's always been like this?" I asked and I stopped walking as we are in front of the elevator. I looked at him and smiled.

"Take the stairs," he said and I even didn't get it, not until the elevator door closes. I released a very deep breath and take the stairs. I then noticed everybody was talking behind his back.

"Yeah, he's really scary," they all were gossiping towards him. I feel sorry for him. All those bad attitudes of him. I sighed and slowly walked while using the stairs. I stopped and I realized there was another elevator for staff only. I grinned and take the elevator.

I was in the elevator when I remember that I wasn't allowed to come with him to his office. I gasped. "Why I am here? He tricked me!" I shouted and I went to his office. I didn't even knock and looked at him with my narrowed eyes.

"Why did you bring me here? I thought... I wasn't allow--"

"You're allowed to come with me here," he uttered and I was surprised while my eyes widened.

"W-what?" I asked him with surprise.

He just ignores me and stared at his laptop. I was standing in front of him awkwardly while looking inside his office. It was beautiful here. I can feel the lightness and relax inside this office.

Someone knocks at the door. I went towards the door and opens it. As I opened it. I then saw a tall and beautiful woman in front of me. She looks so expensive with her clothes, sandals and her handbag. She was wearing sunglasses inside the office?

She stops and looks at me. She then took out her glasses and stared at me for a little while.

"W-Who are you?" she asked me. I was about to speak when Kevin talks.

"What are you doing here?" he asked with his cold voice and stoop up. He then walks towards us.

"Kev, I'm here. Don't you miss me?" the woman suddenly uttered which makes me surprise and I suddenly think I can't bear to hear this one. I slowly open the door when Kevin stops me.

"Where do you think you're going?" he said and they both look at me. I laughed awkwardly and looked at them.

"Who is she, Kev?" the woman asked him. He then slowly walked towards me with his broad smile. I was shaking my head. "Don't do it," I said as I saw this many times on TV and dramas.

"I would like you to meet my Girlfriend," he said with a smile and holds my hands. I look at our hands and turned my gaze at him, but he just smiles at me.

I don't know what he's thinking right now, but I have to help him with his acting. I smiled and the woman looks at me and laughed.

"Really? I thought you are allergic to women after we broke up?" she said and my eyes widened as I heard it. Kevin holds my hand tight and looks at me.

"Yeah, I am. I was hurt when you leave, but when I met her? Everything changes. I saw the beautiful side of my life. I can feel happiness and that is why because she's with me," he said and I don't know why I'm carried away by everything he says. "Why does everything he says seem true?"

I was looking at him as suddenly he looks at me and smile. "She changes me," he uttered and it makes my heart flutter. He then slowly closes his eyes and... he kissed me?

The woman then left and I was stunned and surprised at what he did. I looked at him and I can't even say a thing.

"I'm sorry I had to do it, she's annoying me," he said and went back to his chair.

I was still speechless when he looked at me. I quickly looked away.

"That's your desk, you can start your job now. I'm sure Mrs. Vaness told you your job," he said and I nodded. I sat down on my chair, but still, that kiss.

He closes his eyes and so does I. As I was closing my eyes he landed his finger on my lips and we kissed. I sighed. "He just kissed his finger, not me," I said to myself and shakes my head.

It was lunchtime. I saw him leaving his desk and I stood up. He looked at me. "What are you doing?" he asked.

"Go with you?" I answered him in an asking manner. He frowned.

"You don't have to. I'll just go by myself and so do you," he said and I nodded.

"Okay, Sir,"

I went to a restaurant near the company. I was looking at my phone, hoping that I could get an email from the school. I sighed and started to eat my food when someone sits on the chair opposite mine. I raised my head and it was the woman earlier. My eyes widened as I looked at her.

"Are you really his girlfriend?" she asked me.

"Y-Yes," I answered confidently.

She scoffed. "If you are, then why are you here eating alone? I guess he didn't really love you as he does to me," she said and I laughed.

"He'll come. He just finishing something in the office, what about you? Why are you here, alone?" I asked her and I wanted to tease her. She's getting onto my nerves.

She was just looking at me. "I hate you," she then suddenly uttered it and took the glass of water from my table and she was about to spill that out to me. I just closed my eyes, but someone blocked it for me. As I open my eyes I saw a black shoe and there was a man in front of me. I quickly raised my head and saw Mr. Kevin in front of me. I was surprised to see him here.

The woman's face was also surprised as she spilled the water to his ex-boyfriend.

"Are you okay?" he then asked me and I just nodded. I was still stunned about what just happened.

"Kevin?" she uttered surprisingly. Kevin then turn his back at her and give her a cold look.

"What did you do to her?" he shouts. I hold his arms and shook my head telling him I'm fine.

He exhales and closes his eyes. "Let's go. Let's eat somewhere else," he uttered and we went out.

He was like a knight in shining armor that I always saw at the movies. He was grabbing me outside while holding my hands. He then stopped as we reached his car.

He looked at me and I looked away. I was embarrassed to face him. I lied to that bitc*h.

"Go back to the office now," he said and he went inside the car. I sighed and walked to find a taxi, but while walking my stomach noises.

Rrr... Rrr... They're making noises inside me...

"I'm still hungry,"
