Maid To Bea

The sudden storming in of a figure caused my whole figure jolting, gaze shifting to the doorway where a form came pushing in. Somewhat familiar, It didn't take long for me recognising him—the same boy from yesterday, advancing towards me, his eyes never for once evaded my profile. His hair remained ruffled, jaw clutching tight, gaze held strongly on my form. Anger sure filled his eyes. I noticed that so well. "Where's the money?!" His voice travelled into my ears, tone loud. "What money?" My own voice came out weak, low and barely audible even for my ears. "Don't play games with me. I know you took the money." He said almost immediately. "I don't know what you're talking about." I defended, trying to walk away, but his hold on my wrist pulled me back to the position I was. My eyes shifted to the area of my skin which he had just touched, staring at it like something acidic had grazed there. A brief silence filled the air, and just then, he began moving towards me, eyes matching mine. "I don't know who let you in my room" He began, words pouring out one after the other, while he inched closer to my figure. "but you and I know very well that you took that money." At this point, I was already backing the wall, and had nowhere to go. "You'll pay me my money. That's for certain. I don't care how you're gonna do it, but YOU WILL PAY ME." I heard call in a low voice. His face was just a finger away from mine, and for certain I could feel his breath fanning against my skin. "Nia, have you seen-" A voice from nowhere spoke, with Denna stumbling in, freezing at the sight in front of her-- The boy peering intently at me, hovering over my figure, while I remained like a lost puppy begging to be rescued. His eyes remained fixed on me, and the anger resting there was just too obvious. "The name's Nia, huh?" He uttered, pronouncing my name carefully. For some reason, it sounded so soothing to my ears. The way it rolled off his tongue. “You owe me, Nia”

The sound of a car horn blaring from beside me got my heart racing, wondering who had decided to follow me while I walked on the sidewalk.

Since leaving the mansion, I had only crossed three streets. A few more to go, and I would be home.

The car horn blared yet again jolting me at once.

I hurried my footsteps, hoping it wasn't some bad guy trying to mess with me.

The car remained right beside me, following my pace, trying to keep up.

In a short while, the window of the car slid down, and next followed a voice. Quite familiar.

"Hey, get in the car"

Blue eyes gleamed back at me, gaze staring on.

"you should be back at the mansion" I muttered.

"What are you doing here?"

"Taking you home" He replied

A weak smile grew on my lips as I watched him.

"I don't think it's right for you walking home alone at this time of the night" He spoke "Plus, I don't think you're feeling too well" He added, his eyes watching me intently.

"I'm fine"

"Oh, will you stop being stubborn, and let me take you home?" he uttered at once.

"C'mon" he persuaded.

Hesitant enough, I finally got into the car after a long moment of me pausing, trying to get him to plead more.

"Thanks" I said to him, right before he zoomed off.

"So...does your mom know you're here?" I asked him while he drove.

"She has no idea"

"She'd kill me, if she finds out. That woman goes crazy over little things" He uttered

I gave a low chuckle at his words, my eyes watching his figure.

"Thanks for today" I muttered.

He turned his gaze to mine, our eyes locking for a while, and at that moment, I noticed his grip on the steering tightening.

"Watch out!" I exclaimed, pointing at the road.

He was just quick to miss the trash can that was laying on the road

A sigh escaped my lips at once, while I relaxed back in the car seat.

"Who throws a trash can on the road?!" he blurted.

His eyes remained focused ahead, low breaths escaping his lips.

"Well, the people who live in this neighborhood are poor, so they do whatever they want with no one bothering about it"

His eyes softened the instant he looked at me, meanwhile, my fingers fiddled with each other.

"I think it's a nice neighborhood" I heard him say.

"You don't have to say that to make me feel better" I spoke.

"I'm being serious, it's a nice neighborhood" He said.

"Wow, for the past twenty minutes, you've been nice. That's a first" I said with a chuckle.

He gave a low laugh, eyes still fixed ahead.

A few minutes after, and he had pulled up right in front of my house.

Muttering a low 'Thanks' to him, I proceeded out of the car.

I heard him get down from the car, while calling my name.

"Nia"

Turning around to face him, I watched him pull closer to me, eyes staring into mine, getting me a bit  nervous.

His hands remained in his pockets, his gaze fixed on my figure, while he spoke softly.

The instant he began pulling closer to me, my heart began racing. I could see his lips moving closer to my face, and then over to my right ear.

His breath fanned against my earlobes, and in a low voice, he spoke.

"Good night" He whispered, voice giving me tingles.

He was being extra nice.

I smiled at him, watching as he walked back to his car.

He drove off afterwards, While I stood in front of my house smiling like a kid who just received an early Christmas present.
