Maid To Bea

The sudden storming in of a figure caused my whole figure jolting, gaze shifting to the doorway where a form came pushing in. Somewhat familiar, It didn't take long for me recognising him—the same boy from yesterday, advancing towards me, his eyes never for once evaded my profile. His hair remained ruffled, jaw clutching tight, gaze held strongly on my form. Anger sure filled his eyes. I noticed that so well. "Where's the money?!" His voice travelled into my ears, tone loud. "What money?" My own voice came out weak, low and barely audible even for my ears. "Don't play games with me. I know you took the money." He said almost immediately. "I don't know what you're talking about." I defended, trying to walk away, but his hold on my wrist pulled me back to the position I was. My eyes shifted to the area of my skin which he had just touched, staring at it like something acidic had grazed there. A brief silence filled the air, and just then, he began moving towards me, eyes matching mine. "I don't know who let you in my room" He began, words pouring out one after the other, while he inched closer to my figure. "but you and I know very well that you took that money." At this point, I was already backing the wall, and had nowhere to go. "You'll pay me my money. That's for certain. I don't care how you're gonna do it, but YOU WILL PAY ME." I heard call in a low voice. His face was just a finger away from mine, and for certain I could feel his breath fanning against my skin. "Nia, have you seen-" A voice from nowhere spoke, with Denna stumbling in, freezing at the sight in front of her-- The boy peering intently at me, hovering over my figure, while I remained like a lost puppy begging to be rescued. His eyes remained fixed on me, and the anger resting there was just too obvious. "The name's Nia, huh?" He uttered, pronouncing my name carefully. For some reason, it sounded so soothing to my ears. The way it rolled off his tongue. “You owe me, Nia”

I was back to work, doing my usual routine of cleaning, when the triplets stumbled in, taking to the stairs at once.

Next proceeded the figures of Logan and Tyler, speaking in muffled voices, yammering to each other. They took no notice of my figure crouched low to the ground, dusting and cleaning.

Unlike every other day, I noticed Tyler actually spoke much more than he used to. His head fell back, while he laughed heartily to whatever Logan was saying.

A figure walked in right behind--Cameron, eyes focusing on my form, while I averted my gaze at once, resuming my cleaning.

I heard him call my name, causing me to turn to him, noticing as he scratched at his forehead, gaze peering on at me.

Was he nervous?

"Thanks for yesterday"

"You did save me" he uttered quietly, averting his gaze from my figure.

Grabbing an item from his backpack, he held it in his outstretched hands.

"I want you to have this"

"A bid of saying 'Thank you' for helping me out"

I stared blankly at him, totally confused.

"Take it" He gestured, voice low and calm.

Petering closely, while reaching for it, I don't realized it was a ticket to a soccer game.

"My team got through to the finals of the interschool football-- I mean soccer championships"

"We'll be playing on Friday."

"And.....I'm inviting you" he said.

My eyes gaped on at him, not believing this was happening--Cameron inviting me to an event was something I never would have believed could happen.

My lips parted, wanting to say much, yet, no words were formed.

"I don't think I can make it" My words were slow, carefully pronounced.

His expression changed the instant the words left My mouth.

"Why?" He questioned in a low voice.

"I'll be working here" I stated

I really wanted to go, everything in me yearned to, but I knew it couldn't happen.

It meant a lot to me that he had taken into consideration to invite me to his soccer game, but even at that, I couldn't leave the mansion on Friday.

Plus, there was no excuse I could tell miss Tara.

"Yeah, you're right. You're gonna be busy" He spoke abruptly.

"I shouldn't have invited you anyway" His tone seemed to have changed so quick as he turned around, walking away.

Just when he was starting to hate me less, I blew it off.
