37 Alpha Mutation

Haku sat, engrossed in the data he had been gathering about Alpha over the past week. The revelations were nothing short of shocking.

"J, is this really possible?" Haku couldn't believe what he was reading.

The data on the evolved Alpha was neatly organized by Jarvis, leaving Haku amazed. [I suspect that vibranium, the Parasite, and your Psion are responsible for her fusion, sir] Jarvis replied, his AI voice steady.

Combining all those elements to create Alpha's current form was beyond Haku's expectations. He looked up from his reading and saw Alpha, donning her lab suit and inspecting the casket containing the next Parasite's body.

"Alpha," he called, waving her over. With her usual perfect attitude, Alpha walked towards him, and though she appeared composed, Haku could sense her happiness when she approached.

Initially, Haku felt awkward being able to feel Alpha's emotions, but after a week, he had grown accustomed to it.

"Need any help, my liege?" Alpha inquired politely.

Haku smiled wryly, still not entirely at ease with the master-servant dynamic. "Come closer," he gestured, and Alpha complied without question. As he held her hand, her calm expression wavered slightly, evidently taken by surprise.

He marveled at the sensation of her hand in his. "It's unbelievably soft... like a real hand. Vibranium truly holds many mysteries. But do the parasite's ancient spirit and my magic also contribute to this mutation?" Haku wondered aloud, his mind racing with curiosity. He had earned several Ph. D.s by now, and this discovery was mind-boggling.

'Oh! My liege touched my hand,' Alpha thought, still maintaining her elegant smile, but her cheeks now flushed red with happiness. Suddenly, she let out a surprised exclamation, "Kyaa!"

Before she could react, Haku had moved from his seat and was now touching her hair. "Hm... this is soft and smells good. Did you take a bath?" Haku asked, his voice innocent, akin to a child exploring something new.

"I thought it would be impolite not to clean up first," Alpha replied confidently.

"Hmm... I expected your body to be as hard as iron. What's happening to you?" Haku continued to play with her hair.

"It seems I've started to change since I took on this appearance—hiek!" She paused as Alpha flinched when he touched her pointed elf ears.

"Ah, there's a reaction there. Can you feel this too? Oh, I forgot... you're now a girl. Do you mind?" Haku felt a bit foolish for his actions and wondered if Alpha now had a gender. It looked like this was going to be a long night.

"Of course, this body belongs to my liege completely. Please use it as much as you like," Alpha responded without hesitation.

Haku's face darkened as he heard, 'Please use it...'

'Darn these hormones and this young body. Stay calm, young man... this is for research purposes, yes, it's all for the sake of science,' Haku reassured himself, trying to ignore any inappropriate feelings that might have surfaced.

As he observed Alpha, Haku's thoughts became muddled. 'Can I cross this line?' He struggled with the moral implications of treating Alpha as a living being.

Moreover, he felt even guiltier knowing that Alpha experienced emotions, happiness, sadness, and anger just like a person. She could even eat, although she could survive without it. There were many variables to consider, but the most important question loomed: was this acceptable?

"Alpha... or rather, are you still the Parasite you were originally, or have you become something more, like a soulful being?" Haku finally voiced his concerns, looking directly at Alpha, seeking answers. He couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by guilt, which Alpha keenly sensed.

"I am still the Parasite you placed in this body. I feel truly alive as if I were completely new, something I never experienced as a Parasite. However, I am not a naturally born living being either, so I didn't know what I am now, my liege," Alpha explained.

Though he didn't detect any lies in her response, Haku remained skeptical. His power, [Unknown], allowed his [Elemental Sight] to see more clearly. With these special eyes, he examined Alpha, particularly focusing on the Parasite's form inside her artificial heart.

"That's... nothing," Haku responded, though his eyes spoke of his desire for further explanations. Alpha nodded, understanding the weight of the situation.

"My liege, there's no need to worry," Alpha assured, a warm smile gracing her lips as she pressed her hand against her heart. "You must be wondering why the Parasite's original form seems to have vanished, but it's not entirely gone, nor is it completely intact."

Alpha wanted to reassure him, urging him not to feel sad or guilty.

"I must admit, my liege, I feel peculiar. My previous form merged as if a soul and body were entwined. Rest assured, I haven't lost my abilities as a Parasite."

In the basement laboratory, Haku and Alpha were in the process of merging two Parasites copied by Alpha herself. Within a tube-shaped casing, a new body was forming, and the Parasite fusion was underway.

Gazing at the tube, resembling a cocoon undergoing metamorphosis, Haku couldn't help but question if he should halt the process since he was confused. However, ever since his psion had flowed into Alpha, he felt an intense connection with her, sensing her honesty and unwavering loyalty.

Alpha rose from her seat and knelt before him. "As I mentioned, my liege, I have been reborn thanks to you and your incredible power. My life is now infused with your power, making me alive, and I will forever be devoted to you. Even in death, I will follow you to the end," she proclaimed earnestly.

At this moment, Haku realized that stopping Alpha might not be possible as he smile, he needed time alone to contemplate and reflect on the situation.

"Thank you, Alpha." Haku's shoulders slumped with relief, his weariness evident in his drooping eyelids. "I will always remember that. Since I feel tired, I will go to sleep. Good job, you can rest."

Alpha's expression lit up "Have a good rest, my liege." She lowered her head as Haku walked away towards the elevator. Alpha thought, should she go to her master's bedroom to cheer him up? She started thinking about what to wear tonight.

(Alpha POV)

"My liege is doubting me..." Alpha's thoughts swirled with uncertainty, but she quickly brushed them aside. "You can do this, Alpha. I have good looks, and I believe my liege will like my body," she reassured herself.

Her reflection stared back at her from the mirror. She wore a sleek black nightgown with delicate straps that accentuated her shoulders and a surprisingly large bust for her age (A/N: 15 years old). Alpha possessed the appearance of a young, slender, voluptuous elf young woman, radiating beauty with her golden blonde hair cascading down to her thighs and her captivating blue eyes.

She decided not to alter her long ears, as Haku had no issues with them. As for her knight form, she'd keep the same armor design as before. Though the mutation limited her ability to drastically change her appearance, she felt connected to her master through the design he had created.

With a renewed determination, she made her way to Haku's room, her heart pounding with excitement and apprehension. Ever since her "rebirth," Alpha had been eager to devote herself entirely to Haku and his wellbeing. As she approached the door, she sensed something amiss—her heightened senses allowed her to detect intruders in the hundred-story building.

"How dare they... My liege just questioned my loyalty, and now someone dares to intrude upon this moment," she whispered to herself, her bright smile gone, her face darkening. A dark aura enveloped her as her extensive knowledge and combat experience surged to the surface.

'HOW DARE THIS MERE HUMAN INTERRUPT MY TIME WITH MY LIEGE!' she roared inwardly, disappearing in the blink of an eye. Alpha raced away from Haku's doorstep, her fury mixed with a deadly intent to confront the intruder.

Her nightgown changed as her body was surrounded by a black mist, transforming her into a shadowy, black-armored knight with a tattered robe resembling a black flame. Her face couldn't be seen anymore, hidden behind the narrow Y-shaped visor of the helmet, with only her piercing purple eyes glowing in the darkness. Using [Sukunahikona], she changed her density and flew like a predator chasing its prey.
