11 Mother & The Mothers(1)

World's P.O.V,

Thud!

Whack!

Splash!

The winds and water of the Ganga river swept everything on its path as Mata Ganga moved towards Vasusena.

That view of the violent winds and water uprooting trees and shredding rocks into pieces was a very frightening sight to watch.

Mata Ganga had lost herself in fury as she didn't care about other living beings. Why wouldn't she be?

For women, being a mother was a gift of nature. Other than lord Brahma, only mothers give birth to a new life. A child is a blessing of the Lord provided to Mothers. Children are mothers' pride.

A wife can fight the god of death 'Yama' for her husband. Whereas A mother can go against the WORLD for her children.

Be it Devas, Asuras or even Trimurti themselves, They dare not offend a mother. In this period where the world was respecting mothers more than the supreme gods, A mother dared to defile this very relation!

How can one not be furious!

The three realms (Lokas) had once witnessed the wrath of Maa (Mother) Kali. Against her frenzy, be it Devas or Asuras, everyone was running for the fear of their life.

To calm a mother's rage, even Niyati had bent their rules. Then, if a mother herself abandons her child, wouldn't it be the greatest insult to other mothers?!

Hence, Mata Ganga's temper wasn't unreasonable. No mother can bear to part with her child, much less throw him/her away. No matter the reason, A sin is indeed a sin. A good cause will not change it. The good for you, your family or your country needn't be beneficial to others. Right.

Splash!

Drip*Drip*

Mata Ganga neared Vasusena and co, She saw a strange view of a basket drifting towards the Kingdom of Anga at a steady pace. The strange thing about it was the calm and serene surroundings around the basket.

However, as she approached him, she heard a soothing voice. Though, it was very thin and girly. It was indeed sweet and enlightening.

"Om~"

"Om~ Om~....."

The sounds of the divine syllable 'Om' coming from the basket. As soon as she heard the chanting, her anger vanished without a trace. A strange peace and happiness replaced her urge of destruction.

Consequently, the atmosphere returned to normal as it was almost morning. The devas remained ignorant of the imminent danger. It was said that devas one day was equal to a year in the mortal world. Henceforth, They couldn't even perceive what happened here without using their Celestial sight (Divya Drishti).

Also, In mortal places, most creatures (including humans) slept at night and they were built far away from riversides. Additionally, due to the purifying nature of the Ganges water, dwellers of night refrained from disturbing Mata Ganga.

Therefore, except Devi Yamuna, this incident was known to none.

Having calmed down, Mata Ganga didn't stand on ceremony as she appeared in-front of Makar & co.

"Pranam ( प्रणाम/Greetings ) Mata!" Seeing an unknown beautiful Lady appearing out of nowhere, The enlightened group wasn't scared by it like any-other mortal being. Rather, They greeted her respectfully.

Maybe pleased by their reactions, a smiled appeared on Mata Ganga's face, magnifying her motherly charm as she blessed the voyage, " आयुष्मन् भव बालकाः/ Long live Children!" before asking, "Can anyone tell me about this child?"

Makar stood opposite to Mata Ganga while bowing his head as he answered, " Oh great Mother! I am Makar and we found this divine child in Ashwanadi in the Kunti kingdom. His mother had left him in the river with gold and jewels. When flowing through Ashwanadi..."

Makar explained everything to Mata Ganga about his meeting with Vasusena, their agreement and their journey till now.

Mata Ganga was slightly agitated after hearing the first few sentences as she heard about his sad fate. Albeit, the later half didn't interest her much. Mata Ganga was once a resident of Brahma-loka ( A higher Astral realm or Dimension). At that place, One day is equal to one cycle of creation and destruction of the mortal world. She had already witnessed countless cycles and thus gained an immunity from it.

It was one of the reasons why most celestials did not think highly of mortals. For them, our whole life might not last more than a minute. Just like how we do not value insects' lives.

"Child, What is the name of this baby?" After she digested everything, Mata Ganga asked Makar as she arrived near Vasusena's basket.

Hearing this question, Makar answered truthfully, " I apologize mother! We do not know his good name."

(Note: His name 'Vasusena' wasn't known by anyone aside from Mata Kunti and Suryadev.)

Hearing this, She waved her hands in understanding as she put off the silky cloth covering Vasusena's face.

Shine~

As she removed the cloth, An imaginary light illuminated the evening more than the rising Sun. Underneath the cover was a fair baby half-asleep with his little mouth uttering the syllable 'Om~' every second.

In the middle of his forehead (Just above his eyebrows) was a symbol of the Sun drawn on it with Sandalwood (Chandan). When we go down, we see a smooth nose. His overall face was a little round just like a normal child.

Yeah... If Mata Ganga can ignore the bright radiance on his face coupled with the hidden Divine armor and a pair of earrings on his ears, he was indeed a normal child?

As a Devi whose power is to wash the sins of Sinners, how could she not see the divine armor and earrings. When they kept emitting the divine aura of Suryadev.

Due to her wisdom, She easily found a connection between Suryadev and this baby.

Henceforth, She lamented at this demi-god baby. How can a child under Suryadev also known as Surya Narayana's protection have suffered injustice.

'It must be a curse!'

She realized after contemplating everything. Yet, her anger for the mother of this child didn't diminish a bit.

It even flared up a bit as she saw the power contained in the earrings was transferring into the baby's tummy, signifying that he must haven't eaten anything since birth.

Unaware of Mata Kunti's helplessness, Mata Ganga blamed her for it.

"Wake up child?" She touched the baby a little to feed him the cow-milk summoned by her powers inside a clay container.

"Om?~" The Baby Vasusena woke up after feeling the gentle warmness of an unknown woman's hand on his face.

Chirp*

The young dove also woke up after it heard Mata Ganga's voice.
