The garden

After hearing the news of Pimpou's disappearance, I take a deep breath indifferently, but I still ask. "William killed him?"

The boy next to me shakes his head in denial. "No... Remember when we boarded this airship, the wizard told us about the rules and explained that there are three levels on this airship. The first part of the first level is exclusively the wizard's, the second part is for the students, and the third level is for the magical slaves."

I nodded slowly, recalling the wizard's detailed instructions. "Yes, I remember the wizard said that murder was forbidden. And I'm sure William wouldn't be foolish enough to break a rule set by a wizard, right?"

Linuart takes a deep breath before answering. "Yes... But the wizard never said that kidnapping someone is forbidden."

A dark smile forms on my lips at this terrible revelation. "That's the fate of the weaker ones..."

Without waiting for any response from Linuart or his friend, I turn and begin to walk, following my own thoughts. I need to get some fresh air to clear my mind and digest all the recent events in my new life.

"Charles, wait, please..." Linuart's voice echoed behind me, but I kept walking, determined in my stance. "I won't do anything to help you for free," I declared, keeping my steps firm. "But if you have something that might interest me, like a book or any valuable item, you might get one or two favors."

The look of dismay on their faces didn't go unnoticed as my words echoed. They had nothing that could catch my attention at that moment.

After a few minutes of walking, following my own thoughts, I reached the entrance of a large staircase, where two young men were stationed like soldiers, guarding the access.

With my chest puffed out and my head held high in determination, I approach the staircase, promptly deciding to start climbing the steps leading upward.

However, the moment I place my foot on the first step, I feel a bold hand gripping my shoulder. A rude voice interrupts my movement. "Hey, who are you? This place is under the control of the Bravo Fire gang. If you don't want to suffer the cons..." Before he can finish speaking, I don't hesitate. My fists clench, and with swift precision, I deliver a direct blow to the throat of the boy who tried to stop me.

"Pow~~" The sound of impact cuts through the air, followed by a muffled groan as the boy with black hair and brown eyes doubles over, struggling for air, his trachea struck. Without giving him a chance to recover, I raise my right leg like a bomb, hitting the boy square in the jaw.

"Bang~~" The impact is accompanied by a loud, dull sound, almost deafening. The boy's body wavers for a moment before collapsing, unconscious, to the ground. The scene almost seems like it was taken from an action movie, but the reality of the blow is palpable and relentless.

"WHAT? How dare you?!!" The other guard, seeing his companion collapse to the ground, tries to assume a defensive position. But compared to my technique and speed, he is full of gaps in his guard.

With a quick and precise strike, I hit his kidney with all the force I can muster. "POW~~"

A groan of pain escapes his lips, "Uuurrr~~," as his legs buckle and he doubles over, tormented by the terrible agony he is feeling. I don't give him time to recover. Flexing my leg, I deliver a kick to his head, "Bang~~," making him instantly pass out next to his colleague.

A satisfied smile forms on my lips as I watch the two unconscious bodies on the ground. They barely had a chance to react to my skill. I'm sure that, with my 213 years of artificially created experience, I've become a type of John Wick, but far superior in hand-to-hand combat.

"Chip, scan the bodies of these two people and show me their statistics!"

"Bip! Task established. Beginning statistics collection."

Immediately, the 3D holograms of the bodies of the two unconscious people on the ground appeared before me, displaying their statistics.

"Name: Unknown. Gender: Male. Strength: 1.3. Agility: 1.2. Vitality: 1.0."

"Name: Unknown. Gender: Male. Strength: 1.2. Agility: 1.1. Vitality: 1.1."

A sneer forms on my lips as I see the statistics. "Weak... And they still dared to try to stop me... How pathetic."

After examining the bodies, I kneel before them and start rummaging through their pockets for something valuable. However, it's completely in vain. A sigh of frustration escapes my lips. "Besides being weak, these bastards are also poor."

A wave of thoughts invades my mind as I stand up. "How are they going to pay to enter a magic school? Did William take their treasures and force them to become his loyal subordinates? After all, who in their right mind would dare betray someone who possesses something as important as their own life?"

Shaking my head to dispel these thoughts, I start climbing the stairs. As I advance, a new realization settles in: "William is smarter than I thought..."

Reaching the top of the stairs, I feel a momentary relief. The first impact is the aroma. A fresh, earthy smell floods my nostrils, mingled with the gentle breeze that seems to dance around me. I look around and notice the small garden surrounded by wooden stakes.

With deliberate gestures, I remove my boots and cautiously advance toward the garden. The wooden stakes form a protective perimeter around the plants, like silent guardians of the lush greenery growing there. The soft grass yields beneath my feet.

The colorful flowers capture my attention, dotting the garden with vibrant hues that contrast with the metallic white surroundings. Each flower seems like a small work of art, an explosion of life in an environment that could easily be described as sterile.

As I approach the center of the garden, I notice that there are no walls or glass windows, just open space stretching as far as the eye can see, showing the blue sky with the yellow sun.

I take a deep breath, letting the fresh air fill my lungs. While I revel in the serenity of the garden, a mischievous smile forms on my lips. "Now I understand why this place was being protected. If the other students discovered this beautiful garden and had access to it, I'm sure it wouldn't last more than a few days."

As I ponder this, my mind drifts back to Maria, that woman in the bathroom. Ideas begin to form in my mind as I consider the possibilities. What if I kidnapped a student and took her to the bathroom, making Maria possess her? After all, with Maria able to leave the bathroom, she would be of great use in stressful moments...

The notion of having a lovesick ghost as my slave doesn't seem so bad. After all, what is power if not used to manipulate and control those around me as I see fit?

While Charles was thinking about future possibilities, time passed.

William is sitting in an upholstered chair, his upright and confident posture denoting his assurance. His deep red eyes reflect a mixture of passion and determination as he holds the girl in his arms. His face is marked by an expression of desire, but also of almost arrogant confidence.

The girl, captivatingly beautiful, rests in William's arms as if caught between comfort and discomfort. Her black hair, silky as the night, falls in soft waves around her angelic face. Her porcelain-white skin is adorned with sparkling crystal earrings that glisten in the light. Her eyes, also red, as vivid as rays of the sun, emanate a unique emotional intelligence, as if she deeply understands the world around her.

A shiver runs down her spine as William kisses her perfumed neck, exuding the sweet aroma of roses. A delicate smile curves her lips as she struggles to contain her true dark feelings. "Love..." her voice is soft but firm, a mix of affection and concern. "I've already told you, now is not the time. Someone could walk in on us suddenly."

William, with his imposing physique and unwavering confidence, holds her as if she were the most precious of jewels. His muscular arms encircle her with firmness, but also with an almost possessive gentleness. "Don't worry, my little princess," he murmurs, his voice laden with promises and security. "Nicolas won't cause problems in my territory. After all, he's too busy maintaining his moral integrity and taking care of the weaker ones."

Their lips meet in a fiery kiss as William's large hands explore the girl's delicate body. To an inattentive observer, it might seem like a happy couple enjoying intimate moments. However, a closer look would reveal the slight disdain in the girl's eyes, a subtle expression of discomfort masked by a forced smile. Nevertheless, she knows there's nowhere to run, trapped in William's web of power and control.
