"BUT I GOS THE PLASH WOS DANGWISH!"

Naomi walked over, Jinyu realized just how creepy her surroundings were.

Naomi turned the butterfly around and the angle of the viewpoint tilted to show a mangled body.

Jinyu covered her mouth.

In the background, Warren covered Pino's eyes.

"YOOOO REMEMBA WHEN LION DIED?"

Jinyu nodded.

"YOOOO WESWECTED HIM FAAA MEEE."

"Ah," A light bulb went off in Jinyu's mind. "Now, I see, you want me to resurrect them?"

She couldn't help remembering old times when her lion died and Naomi spammed the chat with crying emoji's seeing her actual reaction for itself was rather amusing. But more importantly, seeing the mangled body for some reason it didn't disturb Jinyu as much as it should have. That disturbed her.

It was a dead body. Even if she had seen some in the game, this was the first time she had ever seen one how could she be so passive? Naomi's reaction was odd too. She was crying from the loss not because she was scared.

Because of these thoughts Jinyu's response was delayed.

"...The thing I used to resurrect your lion, it was a reversion spell."

"Revurshun?"

"In order to resurrect the dead lion, I simply had to sacrifice the life of the thing that killed him in exchange..."

"Isn't that black magic?" Pino whom's eyes were still covered by Ning Warren with a document asked.

"Not quite, when we summon a creature our slots as to how many we can summon are limited. Sometimes we have to sacrifice a couple of our creatures in order to summon a stronger one."

"Ahhh!" Pino nodded.

"Gate magic in itself... well it can be confusing to explain. Since I came into contact with the monster I was able to capture it, turn it into a summoned beast, then sacrifice it in exchange for the soul it consumed and recycled the lion's spirit."

(Being a summoner was like being a pokemon master, like Jinyu states before you can summon a monster that exists from your imagination or from somewhere else. There are different types of summons as well. Living summons and spirit summons. Spirit summons are harder to kill. Living summons are living monsters teleported from another physical plane. At that point their lives are in the hands of the summoner. The summoner can see how that beast lived, what it consumed, etc. )

Naomi's eyes glimmered.

"So then-

"But!" Jinyu sighed. "Those were beasts. These are people, well not even people, NPCS, it's easy to revive a beast and a fellow saint, but an NPC? I've never tried summoning NPCs nor sacrificing them. Also, there are other variables that you should keep in mind. Like if the souls are still in the area, that body looks old. If the soul is gone, forget about resurrection. Also, you need to find out what killed them and if it's still alive. If the thing that already killed them is dead... Forget about resurrection." Jinyu began to mouth off depressing Naomi each time.

"Ah!" Jinyu clapped her hands together. "Why don't you talk to Tree?"

Naomi was unresponsive.

Jinyu snapped a finger and a fiery bead appeared and unfurled into a goldfish that vomited out a even larger bead of fire. It dived into the bead which pulsed and writhed, stretching out into a large goldfish rimmed mirror.

"Hmm?" Tree was lying in bed reading a book when she noticed a screen in front of her face.

"Tree you can resurrect NPCs right?"

Tree, startled by the sudden call, blinked a couple of times before finally nodding.

"If their soul died nearby a tree or if it's fertilizing the soil of its roots... then, sure."

The store clerks who had been eavesdropping on the conversation for quite some time listened on in awe and confusion.

Naomi who had been listening with dim eyes looked up, her eyes glistening.

"Well, Jinyu you should also know it yourself. If the NPC was eaten by a beast, then the beast has their souls. Just like how in this world, humans kill beasts to level up, beasts can level up from killing humans. If a human killed them however it's probably with the tree."

"Why is this so complicated?! I dunno what killed them!"

Tree sat up and squinted at the screen.

There are trees there right? Lemme talk to them.

A root stretched out from Tree's palm through the mirror, worming it's way across through the dress store and into Naomi's butterfly-shaped screen.

The root patted around the floor as if blind before touching a root.

Suddenly all the trees in the area glowed with light.

A glowing girl in a similar uniform as Naomi appeared.

"Special Deliver-

Her whole body flew into the air, her body spiraling from the brute force her head continued to twist until it finally flew off.

It showed a male boy spawn into the area but because of the thick fog he didn't see the first girl's body and trekked further into the forest.

"Did you see what hit them?"

Because of the shape of the mirror, Jinyu couldn't see.

Only Naomi and Tree could.

"Mmm. It was a beast. One of it's attacks missed the customer and slammed right into poor Fei Lin..." Naomi's eyes dimmed.

"Since that's the case..."

Tree's root spread out and fished out the missing head some acres away before returning to place it near the body. The roots suddenly grew into a large mouth and it scooped up Fei Lin's corpse and retreated out of the portal.

"Eh-

"She'll heal faster if she's here with me."

The weird human-shaped lump had trouble dragging the body out of Naomi's portal. Naomi tried to extend it only for her poor dimensional butterfly to rip, the second the lump was out the portal disappeared.

Jinyu saw the portal shrink on her side.

"Oh, we were disconnected."

Warren removed his folder form Pino's face.

"Do you think she'll be alright?"

"Naomi? Yeah."

Pino after studying Jinyu for a while finally clapped her hands.

"Alright now, Mama it's time to change your clothes!"

"Nooooo!"

Warren watching the scene, a small smile tugged at his lips before looking back to his documents.

"You too Papa! The dress color changed!"

His smile withered.
