10 Chapter 10: Breakthrough

The Exhilarating match came to an end with Race's defeat in the hands of Colonel Barrar. The crowd was completely riled up, The intensity of the match had kept the crowd from even blinking, as they were afraid to miss even a small part of the match. Even Race who lost was satisfied with this result.

Race was pushed way beyond the limits of his current capabilities, and Race knew that is how one can get stronger fast. Even though he was in VR he could feel a splitting headache. Still he remained to say a few more words to Colonel Barrar. And when he was teleported back to the stands, Race spoke to Barrar, " I am grateful for this match, and hope to....".

Before being able to complete the sentence Race was forcefully Logged out of VR. And when Race woke up to the real world what welcomed him was a feeling as if many serrated knives were slashing through his brain. The pain was unbearable and Race held his head while he cried out." AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH, IT HURTS, IT HURTS", before passing out.

Agent T who was standing guard for Race immediately called for Medics, while he removed the VR Headset that deactivated on its own from Race's head. Agent T placed his hand on Race's forehead which was burning hot. He immediately tore a piece of cloth from the nearest curtain and dampened it with cold water from the refrigerator, and placed it on Race's forehead.

Then Agent T picked up Race like how a father will pick up his son, and ran towards the infirmary. Agent T's Military uniform was drenched from Race's sweat. Agent T arrived in under a minute to find the Doctors and nurses ready for Race. He placed Race on to the bed in the room and explained to the doctors about what happened. " He was undergoing a duel in VR with a colonel ranked opponent and just after their fight the headset forcefully logged him out. He screamed that he was in pain while holding his head. Here Doctor this is the data from Headset", Agent T said while he pressed a button on the gadget on his wrist.

The doctor who received the data hurriedly entered it into the computer athe infirmary to be processed, which almost immediately gave back the results. The Doctor who went through the result immediately ordered one of the nurses to use the highest grade nutrient shot. who quickly administered the shot. Then the doctor ordered that they should also put an IV to provide a constant source of the advanced solution to Race. After making sure all that is done perfectly, The doctor released a sigh of relief. But he still ordered various comprehensive scan and tests just make sure that the young prodigy is alright.

Agent T who was standing in the corner of the room approached the doctor in charge after seeing that he had relaxed and asked about the cause of Race's current situation. " Technically, it's all good news; Race broke through the limit of his mental capacity, the fight probably helped with that. But any breakthrough will be followed by growth, and it requires a high amount of energy and nutrients, Which Race's body did not have enough of. So this caused him to blackout in extreme pain. From his medical files we received from his home city, we were able to find that he hadn't received his deserved level of nutrient solution."

" Even though he was denied those solution he was able to breakthrough his creative mental limit sometime around last week that had already put his body under strain, And now this recent breakthrough in combat/control mental limit caused his already strained body to give under the new load." explained the doctor.

"So is Race alright now".

"Yeah, he is perfectly alright now. His body just needs to heal and adjust to his recent achievements. So he will be sleeping for a while other than that he is alright." replied the doctor.

Agent T was relieved and immediately passed on what the doctor told about Race's condition. The higher ups were relieved to hear that but still ordered Agent T to stand guard and inform them of any development.

And at the sametime a highly advanced spaceship that sported the Terran coalition's symbol landed in the landing pad of City 06. A man who seemed to be in his early 30s exited the ship. " So, this were Race Smyth is", said the mysterious man. All might seem ok about this person but no computer in City 06 were able to detect a spaceship or were any guards able to see the person nor the ship.

Race who was sleeping soundly didn't know someone powerful has to find him.
