Disappointment and Surprise

*couple of hours after signing the equals contract*

I was sitting on my couch disappointed in the Dunt family.

The death of Arshaya's father was still fresh when that beast Earl Dunt came into my chamber in Dunt's mansion in Bilspine. Arshaya was busy cultivating and I was alone.

I still remembered that night...

He came and sat with me for a bottle of wine. I didn't want to drink but he didn't give me an option.

He was higher level mage than me, I couldn't just over power him with my charm magic.

Also, he wore certan items which prevented such charm attacks.

He told me how he suspected the Augustus family in the death of his brother since he was the alchemist and Augustus family was jealous of the growing trade between the East and our city.

He asked me what I wanted to do in future. He told me that he knew I had life attribute along with my daughter. He looked at me like he owned me at that point. He was a high level Earth Mage, I didn't know how high.

He said I come become his concubine and enjoy a life of riches and with my life attribute we could live forever. I remember his greedy smile.

I just said I will think about it. He replied if I knew where Arshaya was. He smirked while looking at me.

I begged him to not harm my daughter. He said I still remember it clearly, "If it weren't for your life attribute, I would have fucked you mother and daughter here and now. Oh, how would I have humiliated you by parading you naked in parties for entertainment. You know how much I had to pay for Life mana bottles from Brussex and you bitch was hiding it the whole time just giving it to that idiot brother of mine who was more interested in alchemy than your body. Then he lost control and used Earth magic and forming chains around my upper body and legs. I could have resisted, attacked him but I couldn't because of Arshaya. I just cried and let him do it. I wanted to pass mana into my heart and kill myself. Getting defiled by this beast was worse than living for me but I persisted. He walked towards me and touched my face. Then, he said in a ruthless way, " I don't want to do this. You will marry me and you daughter will serve the Dunt family. I will sign soul contracts with you tomorrow. I want you to serve me willingly. I know you won't break after me fucking you now so just come to me tomorrow."

He broke the chains and away after feeling up my waist and hips. .

It was then I decided to run away from Bilspine. I called Arshaya and went to the balcony. The little bird that always followed me was a rare magic beast called the ShapeShifting Eagle. Arshaya's father had gifted me one in our early years. It was bird with body magic which is seen in some barbarian slaves known for huge bodies.

We rode the bird towards the North where My husband had died. He had bought a mansion here since he stayed here regularly. I couldn't trust anyone here. Tom used to the butler from old times. It was a just a day when Rock and Margaret reached here.

Rock acted in a friendly way but that bitch Margaret. She threatened me that if I tried running again, they would defile my daughter in front of me. That bitch.

I hadn't told Arshaya about this stuff. She was a kid for me. I wanted to protect from the sleazy nobles. I just wanted her to be powerful enough. No one knew except me that she was almost a level 2 psychic mage with telekinesis as the main focus. She was a genius all the way, I hadn't seen anyone better than her except when I met him.

I was acting like a powerless noble when a mage with wind element had stolen my purse and I met Bruce. The way he captured the thief was similar to how I was tied by Earl Dunt. It was just that Dunt was a high level mage and still his spell of earth chains had worked slower than what that magic apprentice had one.

It was then I decided I charm that fellow. He was an interesting little boy. He gave a weird condition of seeing alchemy to taking an oath and then next week, I saw him making a light lamp just like Rock had shown him. He was a monster, a freak but the one I needed right now.

I had called to my chambers to tease him but then the king's letter arrived. It was then I knew about what Earl Dunt wanted, he wanted to sell me to Napoli and keep my daughter for himself. That beast, he wanted both of us. He knew Arshaya was a genius so he kept her while sending the used slut to Napoli.

I knew what awaited me. I was about to breakdown when Bruce turned from a little boy to a man. He said with confidence to sign an equals contract with him. I knew he was charmed by me. I wanted him to accompany Arshaya and protect her for the rest of her life.

Who would have thought that happened. The contract and mana transfer. I was again shocked when he told me he just did it with visualisation. It is so hard to transfer mana without years of practice. I was going to pack my stuff and call Arshaya and go find an inn for today when I saw him coming towards me with a case of metal. He seemed like a day of hope in this dark tunnel.
