Loud sounds from his door woke up Bruce. He cursed his friends who were trying to wake him up so early on a weekend.

"What?" shouted Bruce since was he was getting annoyed because of the hangover.

"The priest is here, Bruce." came a reply from outside the door.

Bruce instantly opened his eyes and saw and unfamiliar wooden roof.

He slowly looked around to be even more horrified.

Bruce tried recalling the last night's events. He went for drinks with his office colleagues. He was dead tired after that.

His friends then forced him into an all-night drunk gaming session. He was playing the new RPG and he did not remember much of it except for the VAC ban he got from using cheats for infinite mana to spam spells for some friendly fire.

Bruce closed his eyes to recall it more clearly.

Then, unfamiliar memories like a movie played inside his mind for what seemed like an eternity.

With the memories, Bruce realized he had passed through to a magical land.

The world did not have any industrial revolution but because of the presence of magic, life was not similar to the middle ages.

In this world, There were elements presence in the air and almost everyone could see some elements with what was an innate skill called the elemental sight.

By channeling mana into their eyes, different people could sense different elements. Bruce only knew about some basic elements like fire, earth, water and wind. there were rarer elements like light, thunder etc as well but people had less affinity with those elements.

However most people only saw the element with which they had affinity and they passed the element through them like breathing and got used to using it. Everyone in this world had a magic heart which pumped the elements to different parts of the body. Over time with this element circulation in the body, the body would become stronger and magic capacity would increase.

The problem was that Bruce was an orphan. He did not remember how he had reached this village on the outskirts of Brown Town.

When he was tested for the magic aptitude at the local church, he had activated the elemental sight but could only see earth elements. Even with those elements, he had very basic affinity and could not guide them into body properly. He lived by doing odd jobs in Brown Town like cleaning stables of magic beasts.

Last night, after his regular work, he was on his way back to his house if we could call it towards the slums of Brown Town. He saw a mushroom growing near the road. He had heard that some plants could increase mana pool, so he plucked the mushroom to his house for eating it. But since, little Bruce was the not the luckiest person in town and not the smartest as well, He must have died after eating it.

Bruce was shocked after he saw "little Bruce's" life. He cursed his luck. Others become princes when they cross and he became a sweeper in a stable with not a guaranteed livelihood.

Bruce had a little backyard for himself outside his house in which he grew grains to make bread and that was everything Bruce had for wealth.

While Bruce was thinking of the hard life that was ahead of him, he closed his eyes with a sigh.

Then, he saw it inside his mind, a bright button at the corner, as he focused on it ,the gaming panel from yesterday which listed his skills.

Is this not the cheat, he had paid for to buy better spells in that rpg, did it cross over with him.

Why is my HP not full, oh old Bruce just died, the number is ticking back to full.

"Activate Elemental Sight" said Bruce in his mind.

When he opened his eyes, what he saw almost blinded his eyes. The air was full of small glowing particles of different colors. These should be the magic elements.

Wait, I can see all of them, What are the new colors, Bruce did not mention about them. I don't see green elements for plant, how does people use plant magic then. As he continued watching, he realised his mana points were reducing so he switched off the elemental sight. He did not like this elemental mode since it was like a room full of cheap RGB lights.

Then, Bruce focused on Earth Magic skill.

He put his hand on the ground and passed mana into it. As his mana was about to become empty, the reload skill triggered and his mana became full instantly and he pshing mana int to the soil. He felt he could mold the ground into different shapes like water. So, this was magic. With his previous life's experience of different animes, he was already thinking about how to build instant earth shields and such while fighting.

After building like small wall about the size of 1ft x 1ft, reload was again triggered, then Bruce realized why the dead Bruce could not use magic, with this much consumption and so little mana, he did not have much hope to get work as an earth mage much less join the adventurers who went into forest to fight beasts.
