Ch. 2 Almost Half Dead but Still 100% Alive

Summary: Archie's cousin Tale is coming to do more than visit, Archie nearly misses out on a party, Frankie, Cévonte and Jax hang out, Archie finally talks to his crush and meets Rain Stroud.

"Archie wake up sweetie" Archie's mom said shaking him

"Mom I'm trying to sleep" Archie said

"Alright I'll be down making breakfast, when you get done with your nap you must come down" She said

"We are going to the airport to pick up your cousin" She said

"Is it Tale?" He said

"Why yes it is, you haven't seen him since you were 12" She said

"Why do we have to see him, he's like 22 why is he still visiting" Archie asked

"Archie get out of bed and get ready" She said slamming the door

Ring Ring

"Yo" Archie said putting the phone on speaker

"You coming over, we're gonna do some illegal stuff" Jax said

"Jax no we aren't, we're gonna go to the little lake out back, Jax thinks he saw an abandoned house" Cévonte said

"Sorry guys i gotta pick up my stupid cousin, the even shittier part is we're going to spend the night in a hotel" He said

"Damn dude, you're gonna miss out" Jax said

"miss out on what? What're u guys talking about" Archie said

"Miss out on some communal fire thing, everyone is gonna hang out tonight around like 10" Cévonte said

"I also heard, Xamina's gonna be there" Jax said

"Her names Xamira dude, and why the hell didn't u tell me" Archie said

"Well we didn't expect you to bail" Cévonte said

"Anyway, sad that you can't make it man" Cévonte said

"Guess I'll have to keep Xamira company" Cévonte said

"Come on buddy eat your breakfast" Archie said

"Dad, could i stay here, the guy's have an awesome day planned" he said

"Im sure they do kid, but your mom wants us to go pick up Jett" He said

"Plus, we dont wanna make her angry, do we sweetie" Archie's dad said to his wife

"Because he talks too much, and thinks he's better than me" He said

"I gotta pack the rest of my things" He said

"Usually when a kid acts like that it's because there's something illegal going on, a girl or he straight up hates Jett, which I doubt" Archie's dad said

"Oh dear Im worried for him" She said

"Huh" Archie grabbed his magic book stuffed it into his bag

"If I'm going to be that bored I'll do some spells, I can only get better" He said

"Tale is always bragging about how great he is" Archie said madly

"Last time he was here, he was pretty good" Archie said

Archie came downstairs, with his bag

"Alright Arch help your mom with the bags" Archie's

"Nah he's probably mad, I met his cousin before, the guy sure is a talker, but he has a pretty steady hand and wand" Jax said

"Except he does seem to talk when he feels comfortable, u guys are lucky to have him as a friend, I'd die five times over for a friend like him" Frankie said tipping his wand

"My dad is usually doing nothing at 10 as my training ends at seven" He said

"Hey Guys" Archie said

"I could use some saving, at the airport with the dummy, and he's making a huge fool out of himself" Archie said

"Great news though, I'll be there, for the fire tonight" he said

"Sweet, Archie's coming too, now it'll be the three musketeers" Frankie said

"Yeah Archie how's everything doing" Frankie said

"Awesome, I'm excited to actually go to an event" he said

"Guess I see why they call him tale" Frankie said

They all laughed

"It seems, Jett's awfully tired, today" Archie's mom said smiling

"Yeah, tired" Archie said

"What are you boys gonna do when u arrive home" Archie's mom asked

"You are gonna play with ur cousin, right Archie"She said

"Yes, mom I'm gonna play with this overgrown 7 year old" He said

"Archie be nice, We haven't told you yet, but You see Jett's parents want him to live with us" She said

"Mom, you are kidding right, this a joke"

"Dad, this a joke" he said laughing

"It's funny" he said

"U guys are being serious" He said

"He's not gonna be with us forever it's just his parents are having a hard time controlling the boy, and with all of those huge city influences, it isn't very good" She said

"So, just think about it this way, you'll have an older brother, who can teach you new spells and things" She said looking back and smiling

Jett had threw up on Archie

"EWWW NO THIS IS DISGUSTINGGGG" Archie said

"Alright, Jett we're home" Archie's mom said

"Archie wake him up" She said

Archie slapped Tale as hard as he could

"Jeez dude, it was a joke your nasty behind literally threw up on me, u don't see me pushing people into walls" He said

"I'm going to a party with my friends okay" He said

Archie got ready by taking a bath and combing his hair and changing into something else

"Guys, I'm ready I'll be there in 10" He said

"Alright man, we're glad u are gonna make it" They said

"Just gotta sneak past mom and dad" He said

"Damn we're about to leave too, see ya there" Cévonte and Jax said

"Hello, mom" Frankie said

"Frankie how was your day, today dear" She asked

"It was nice, I made more friends, mom" He said

"Oh, I'm so proudddd of you son, Ik they would like u, because I already love you" She said

Frankie looked at himself in the mirror

Archie went back to his room and stood in front of the window

"You're Jumping out the window, I used to do that all the time" He said laughing

"I actually made it out, damn I've never seen such an annoying adult person" Archie said brushing himself off

The party was at night on the beach with tons of people just hanging out

"Wow, it's really loud here, isn't it" Frankie said to him self

"Hey guys, this place, it's wild" Frankie said

The boys went to get some snacks

"Yeah he's pretty good, except his magic, it's aggressive" Frankie said

"Anyway , where's the pizza" Jax asked

"Hello, may I get a, cold strawberry lemonade please" A girl asked

"Archie froze up

"Hi, do u know if they sell milkshakes here, say something like that to her" Frankie said

"Hi, Uhm….. do that, the drink you have is red and pink" Archie said

"Yeah, it's a lemonade with strawberry, would you like one" She asked

"Sure!!, is it good" he asked

"Yes, it's really good, here I have a straw, taste some of mine" She said

"Wow, Uhm you're right this is incredible" He said smiling

"I'm glad you like it, it's my favorite, now it's both of our favorites" she laughed

"Wow he's actually not fucking this up" Jax said

"Well I used to collect strawberries when I was like 4" Archie said

"That's so cute" She said

"S- Uhm can I take this really quick, it's my mom, don't go anywhere though unless it's the bathroom or, I'm sorry " He said

"Hi, my name is Rain" Rain said

"Alright, First of all I was talking with a kid I just met and second of all I'm not with any guy how about you just leave me alone" She said scooting over

Rain had punched Archie

The two were now fighting

"He's getting hurt someone help" She said

Archie tried dodging as nimble as he could

"Dude stop it" Archie said kicking his stomach

Rain responded back by punching him dead square in the face

"Ohhhhhhh" everyone said

"Archie" Xamira said calling out

By now Archie had almost passed out his vision was blurry

"Bow!" Suddenly Rain had crashed into the concession building

"Ah!" He said

"Who is that guy, and why does he have a gun" Frankie asked

"Wait a second, that's Tale" Jax said

"Are you done trying to kill my little cousin kid" Tale said

Rain looked mad at Tale and gritted his teeth

"Alrighty, then" Tale picked up Archie

"The rest of you little kids better get home" he said carrying Archie home

"Little kids party, huh" He said

"I don't know how you got into such a brawl, but that face is messed up" He said with Archie passed out on his back
