Chapter 2 The Demon

in a small neighboor we can see two guys walking down the street in a sunny saturday.

they were walking when one of them looked at the other and said:"hey james don't you think there's something weird about this mission...I mean exorcising a demon possesssing a girl is normal and all but they want the girl too? didn't she had enough?"

james responded "we aren't paid to question orders steve we do what they want and they pay us in equivalent that's how it works"

"but i can't shake this feeling that some shit is going to go down"

james responded with:"shut up we are here" then they proceed to enter the house.

the house was dark and the windows were covered the doors were smashed while the walls were smeared with blood human blood and screaming was heard from upstairs

the two exorcist proceeded to walk upstairs while trying to keep the noises they make down to a minimum once upstairs they could see human remains in what looked like a kid's room inside the corner of said room was a child no older than 12 sobbing and begging for help.

The child then turned to the guys and mumbled a barely audible "Help me" the second guy now identified as danielle walks to the kid and says:"It is ok we're here and we're gonna drive the demon out" while moving closer to console the child

The child started crying loudly which was then transformed into an insane and demonic laughter as the child's visage was turned into that of a demon.

The demon lunges at danielle and danielle in a hopeless effort to defend blocks the demon with his arm which is immediately bitten off and chewed by the demon.

danielle instantly terrified shouts to his companion:"This isn't a fucking demon possession! it is a full fledged demon manifestation!"

james says:"Try to distract it while i chant a demon imprisoning spell!"

Danielle trys in vain to keep the demon away from james but the demon proves to be superior both in speed and strength and immediately bites off danielle's head.

causing james to break his concentration on the spell and suffered magical backlash which he tries to ignore and immediately ran for the door.

The demon sure of his triumph and superiority start walking to james while eating the remains of danielle.

James ran out of the house and into a car salesman store and the demon followed suit after.

James after seeing danielle defeated so easily by the demon considers him a city level threat and the only way to defeat him will be burning him in holy fire.

but the incantation to summon such fire will be lenghty and the demon wouldn't give him enough time.

So he opted to the only solution by prioritizing the needs of the many on the needs of the few.

James ran around the store and placed runes on different sides of the store while trying to remain as inconspicuous as possible and upon finishing ran to the demon and engaged him in hand to hand combat which the demon's immense strenght won over and the demon broke his leg.

the blood flowed from his leg and formed a six pointed star the demon still as obligated and arrogant as ever didn't realise such development and spoke:"Did you really your feeble mortal strength will win against mine I'm a high demon you pathetic human if it is compared to you I'm a god!"

James deciding he had enough of the demon's gloating said:"Yeah if i was given a chance to become a god i would refuse it because that would lump me with cunts like you"

The demon enraged jumps at james to finish but james says a quick shock bolt incantation which only serves to annoy the demon but then proceeds to says the incantation of the holy magic spell [Divine flame] which is generally weak to hurt the demon but by being amped by the runes that he placed beforehand which would sacrifice the life of the people in the store would have enough power to erase the demon.

The demon's howls was the only the thing that remained after the spell as he was burned back to hell itself.

James not feeling the tad bit guilty of tge sacrifice of the people of the store started limping to a close by hospital as the needs of the many always came before the needs of the few that was the first rule of demon exorcist.

After walking a few meters he fell limp on the ground as the price of the magic he used took his life force as the sounds of ambulances was heard in the distance.

In the end the incident was masked as an accidental explosion of a car which triggered a chain reaction but only the ones of the moonlit world know the truth.
