CHAPTER 11
Gally pirates' ship kept getting closer, and when it was in range, it started to fire its cannons and land a few hits around us as a warning shot. Then the captain decided to lower the sails. One of the sailors asked:
"Captain, what are we going to do?"
"What can we do other than try to negotiate with them."
When Kreegan heard that, he jumped at the railing and somersaulted on top of the sailor that was guarding the way up to the upper deck. Then landed in front of the captain. The sailors pulled their swords and shouted:
"Who the hell are you? What do you think you are doing?"
"I am a pirate hunter. Why are you thinking of giving up right away? against a nobody like Gally pirates."
"If we don't, more people will die. do you think he is going to spare you if you give up?"
"He might just take the cargo and leave."
"Or after taking the cargo, he might take everyone onboard as slaves. Which option do you think is more likely? A pirate having mercy or being greedy. Yes, maybe he will show mercy and let us go, or he will not."
The cowardly captain said:
"What do you mean you want us to die for you and the passengers?"
Kreegan turned to the sailors and said:
"No, I want you all to live for yourselves. If you leave your fate at the hand of a pirate, there are only two outcomes, death or being a slave. Maybe I am wrong, and maybe they will just rob us blind and then leave. But we have to be ready in case they won't."
The captain didn't want to fight, but if he outright refused to fight back, he knew that if they lived through this, his men would never follow him. He reluctantly decided to listen to Kreegan's plan. Gally pirates would be there for around 5 minutes. Kreegan said:
"How many sailors can fight?"
"Around 25."
Kreegan glanced over the sailors as they began to gather around them on deck. All but 3 were level 0, and the other 3 were level 1.
"If they don't have more than 50, I think we can pull this off, but I can't guarantee all of us live through this."
The captain said:
"Then we shouldn't fight back, and I don't want to endanger my men's life."
If you don't want to risk your life, it's okay. We won't fight."
The relief on the captain's face was evident when Kreegan said that.
"But it's important to remember that once so many people reach the shore, no one will use your service or hire you. Would you want to go out with sailors who gave up directly without a fight? Who would entrust their life and property to such people."
Kreegan confidently said:
"I am sure I can take care of Gally and his first mates. I am a Devil fruit user, and I have special power if you don't know what that is."
After saying that, Kreegan cast Acid Splash and Ray of Ice. Everyone who saw this started to mutter in surprise as well. The Kreegan said, turning toward all the sailors.
"It's time to decide; they're already within sight. You know in your heart that they won't set us free. If we miss the initiative and don't make a surprise attack, more will die. I'm sure most of us will get through this day. You have to ask yourself right now. Do you want to live as cowardly slaves, or do you want to kill these goddamn pirates and step ashore as heroic sailors!!!"
One by one, the sailors decided to fight, and Kreegan immediately explained his plan.
"We're going to wave the white flag first."

The frenzied screams and shouts of Gally and her men echoed throughout the ship. He could see that the sailors on the opposite ship were not drawing their weapons. It seemed that they had faced an easy opponent. If they didn't fight, they would have gotten free slaves.
"Guys, let's finish with these cowards right away and have fun."
"YEAAAHH!!!!"
The pirates shouted in unison while the white flag was hoisted on the opposite ship.
"Hahah! This is going to be so easy. Idiots think they can go free if they give up."
When the ships got close to each other, the pirates created a passage between the two ships with hooks and plates. Gally called out politely, pretending to be a reasonable person.
"Good people of this ship, if you throw down your weapons and donate all your wealth to us, all of us will go our way without any bloodshed."
Kreegan was eyeing the pirates. As he estimated, they consisted of 50-60 men, and all but 5 were level 0, and the other 5 were level 1. Gally was at the forefront, thinking they wouldn't be fighting, and shouted.
"This is my last warning to you all, drop your weapons!"
At this moment, Kreegan used a Flare in each hand and cried out the signal word.
"We give up!"
As soon as Kreegan said this, all the sailors hid their eyes behind their arms and closed their eyes tightly. Two blinding orbs of light went off in between the pirates, and almost all of them went blind and started screaming in pain. Since Gally and the other four pirates were level 1, there was a 95% chance it wouldn't work, and they weren't blinded, but this chaos and light caused them to panic and not understand what was going on.
The sailors drew their swords and attacked as soon as the light disappeared. Kreegan immediately reached for his sword and charged toward the unblinded group.
"Shishi Sonson"
With the quick draw technique, he dashed forward. Gally managed to dodge out of the way, but the other pirate wasn't so lucky and died in one hit. Without wasting any time drawing his other sword, Kreegan launched a circular attack.
"Jolt Takanami"
With this attack, he managed to kill two more of the level 1 pirates. Gally and a tall pirate remained, but with this attack, the electricity hurt both pirates as he used the Jolt magic. Gally ground his teeth and stepped back, but the other one couldn't take the pain from the jolt and flinched. Kreegan used that moment to strike again and kill the pirate.
Gally's face was filled with anger. He had lost all of his strongest men, and the sailors were starting to suppress his other men. He had lost about 30-40 men in those 1-2 minutes.
