Its past the first few days of the official release of H&D, and the Capital Nobu is bustling with players. The second batch of players is trickling in slowly, the total player count now risibg from 100.000 of the release date to 500.000 now with the next 400.000 BrainGears selled. Apparently, especially after the review of the first players, the production of the BrainGear can't meet the demand, and the price is rising.

Still at Level 1, Ray, in-game name Yami, is calmy and leisurely reading in the library of the capital, presumably the place with the biggest amount available information in the game.

While all other players started playing H&D the usual way, whether grinding EXP and items, exlporing the game world and looking for dungeons, or testing the item creation system, Yami instantly asked the first NPC he could get his hands on to ask where the library is. Ever since then, now 3 day into the game, he was reading constantly.

Equipped with the standard beginner items, which do not give any kind of stat, and 10 Naga Silvers, some leftover Bread as well as a 5 litre warerskin in his bag, he messages his friends, informing them that he is ready and will be waiting at the north gate.

Not having much other stuff to do, Ray inspects his Character Status.

Yami sits down by the roadside to ponder quietly over the possible way the stats affect his characters physical performance. Meanwhile, some people approach the city gate with high profile, causing quite a stir with their arrogant manner.

"Make way, you idiots, Guild Tyrannical Overlords is passing through! Never mind, just leave!" , exclaimed one of those scoundrels with a quite annoying smug look on his face. In fear, all the other players either quickly went out the city gates or entered the city walking towards the center plaza.

In satisfaction, the Overlord members leisurely watched the spetacle of the scrambling players while slowly walking along the path leading out of the city.

Passing the calmly sitting Yami with a blank look on his face, they laughed "Look at this noob, frozen in fear!" They approached him, snickering.

"Hey, look at him. He should get a award for the first player getting the Beggar class."

"Stop it, he might just piss himself."

Feeling good about themselves, they laughed. At this time, Yami broke his focus and looked up confused.

"Excuse me, I didn't listen. Were you guys talking to me?" asked Yami doubtful.

They stopped laughing.

"No there is this rock next to you we were talking to... Of course, we-"

"Ah, alright then. I will be going then" Yami cut them off, and strolling towards the gate.

"What the f***, do you even know who we are? Come right here, next to your grandpa!" shouted the big built man among their party.

Without turning back, Yami responded "No and to be honest I don't care either. "

"F***, beat him, guys!" they rushed at him madly.

Yami still walks in the same slow pace to the gate, finally turning his head, "Are you guys dumb? There are guards right next to you..." his voice slowly trailed off.

"His mom, he dared insult me. Kill him! Don't let him out of the city ever again!"

Sighing, Yami reached the gate, and called out "Guards, i'm being assaulted. May I get some help?"

"Who dares?!" exclaimed the guard captain, ordering his subordinated to teach them a lesson. The Overlord members didn't even get in range to touch Yami, before being brutally pummeled to the ground, getting beaten black and blue.

"Don't ever challenge the city guards, noted. Damn, didn't think that Police Brutality is even a thing in H&D" mumbled Yami. He looked for his friends, who messaged him that they are waiting outside the gates, the very reason why he even broke his focus at all and noticed these monkeys jumping around.

"This is not over yet, you hear me!?" shouted the burly leader of the party.

"F***, why can he still talk after 5 minutes, were you all slacking again?!" shouted the guard captain enraged "I think I will have to beat you guys up too!"

Yami increased his pace, cold sweat running down his back, with the ever decreasing low cries behind him.
