Chapter 12: Mystery of Elements II

"Just like your sex which is set upon birth, your innate element and its progression are also set. BUT! There are ways to alter or strengthen them."

"Some prestige families of water elements live in environments that are always cold. Making their innate element specialized. Likewise, some families with earth elements live underground. This specialized living condition makes the magic presence absorb more of that element and makes it mutate to something more of they liking."

"But of course, it is not to the point of absurdity. Your magic presence is naturally full upon birth until awakening since you haven't used any spell. Those families and clans just try to push their magic presence to its limits and change some of its properties. This method can even bring disaster to the child sometimes."

After explaining some more and answering some questions from the students, Luigi proceeded to the next topic.

"There are three basic elements, earth, water, and fire. You will have one of these after awakening, which you did yesterday."

Awakening orb will emit green color

Earth and fire result to Magma element

Awakening orb will emit orange color

Water and fire result to Wind element

Awakening orb will emit violet color

"Just like in your first awakening, the awakening orb also emits color representing your elements."

"So, earth has yellow, water has blue, and fire has red. And for the fusion, the plant has green, magma has orange and wind has violet."

After explaining this slide, one of the new students raised his hand and asked a question,

"Instructor Luigi, if I may ask, then why do we still have to awaken when all we have to do is fuse our elements?"
