51 Trick 50: Sealing a Werewolf with the Moon!

Sirius walked in the front with Harry, Ron, and Hermione, while Lupin, Ace, and Pettigrew were behind them.

Lupin looked at Ace and said "It's very noble of you to spare his life, Ace." Pettigrew looked at Ace silently as Ace replied softly "No one has the right to decide who lives and dies. Should he die in prison, then it's not my concern anymore…" he turned to Lupin and added "I won't let someone die in front of me if I can stop it."

Lupin smiled slightly and turned to the front, saying "Lily and James were our best friends… I bet Sirius took it the worst out of all of us…" Ace looked at Sirius' back, asking "How did he even get framed in the first place?"

Lupin sighed and explained "Sirius was looking for Harry after Voldemort attacked, but he was caught by the Aurors." Ace shook his head and looked at Pettigrew, a feeling of disgust all over his body.

He turned back and they got out of the tree hole.

Pettigrew struggled but Ace and Lupin held him, dragging him back from the hole. Pettigrew shouted at Ron, "Ron! Haven't I been a good rat!? Surely you won't turn me over to the Dementors would you?!" before turning to Hermione, saying "Clever girl, please! Surely-"

Ace smacked him and pushed him away, pointing his wand at him as Lupin did the same, looking over. Ace cleared his throat and said "I said I won't let him die… It's fine to slap him around a bit, right?"

Lupin chuckled and Pettigrew just stood there, not knowing what to do.

Hermione suddenly shouted "Watch out!" as she pointed at the moon. Everyone turned to look and Ace said "It's just the moon? What's the- oh shit!" as he turned to Lupin, who was breathing erratically, staring at the moon in a trance.

His body started morphing as Sirius ran over, hugging Lupin, shouting "Remus! Remember who you are! This heart is where you truly live!" Ace watched Lupin transform and was amazed.

His thoughts were broken when Harry shouted "Expelliarmus!" Ace turned to see Pettigrew turn into a ran and flee, he waved his wand, shouting "Stupefy!" but Pettigrew jumped into the air as Ace's spell hit him, sending him flying off the cliff, disappearing into the woods!

Ace shouted "Fuck!" as he ran to the cliff's edge, looking down at the brush. He tapped on his temple with his wand, saying "Aspectum Nocta!" as his vision warped into completely clear.

It was a night vision spell!

He scanned the leaves and trees, finding nothing! It was as though Pettigrew disappeared into thin air!

He heard a thud and saw Sirius flying away in his peripheral. Ace turned around to see Lupin cooing in his Werewolf form and his body felt incredible danger!

Hermione stepped forward and said "Professor Lupin?" Ace ran in front of her and said "Stay back!" as he looked at Lupin standing up, howling to the sky!

Ace pushed Hermione and the other two back behind him as he said "Don't move." Ron whispered "Will it go away?" Ace replied "No… but the books said that Werewolves stalk their prey more patiently, the less it moves."

Ron panicked and said "So we're sitting ducks?!"

Snape came out of the tree hole and ran over, saying "There you are!" Ace shouted "Severus, stop!" as Lupin charged at him. Ace threw out the Hierophant Card and created a barrier around the group as Lupin smashed into it headfirst, getting bounced back.

Ace recalled the card, saying "Severus, bring the kids back to the castle. I'll keep him busy." Snape looked at Ace and nodded as Lupin charged at them again, Ace pointed his wand at the ground, saying "Ortus Terra!" before flicking it up.

A piece of rock rose from the ground and knocked Lupin in the face, sending him back. Ace walked towards him, flicking his wand, saying "Incarceratus!" as chains made of stone appeared out of the ground, wrapping up around Lupin before Ace stretched out his hand and clenched his fist.

The chains of rock turned to steel and Lupin snarled, struggling wildly. Ace wiped his sweat but still kept an eye on Lupin, not forgetting what happened with the Destroyer.

Sure enough, Lupin shattered the shackles and charged at Ace, however Sirius appeared in his Dog form, tackling Lupin away, snarling at him as the two animals started fighting.

Ace frowned and gripped his wand, trying to fire a spell but he couldn't get an angle. He pointed his wand at Sirius and said "Terra Armis!" as stones flew at Sirius, turning into armor as he tackled Lupin to the ground, the armor blocking claws from hurting Sirius at all.

Sirius lured Lupin away as Ace chased after them, unfortunately, Snape didn't want to try and leave during the fight in case Lupin went after them, which resulted in Harry chasing after Ace as well.

Ace came to see Lupin throwing Sirius on a rock and shattering the magic armor as Ace cursed, flicking out his wand "Stupefy!" the spell hit Lupin, who shook his head and snarled at Ace, turning to him.

Ace was stunned and said "Resistant to magic too? What a joy!" as he backed up, bumping into Harry, before shouting "What are you doing here?!" Harry swallowed and replied "I just-" Ace shushed him and pulled him behind his back, looking at Lupin who was slowly coming over, as he said "I will distract him, you need to run, understand?" Harry said "But Siriu-" Ace shouted "I will get Sirius! It's too dangerous for you! Leave, understand?!" Harry didn't reply as Lupin jumped at Ace.

Ace cursed and slapped the Strength Card on his chest, grabbing Lupin's paws and wrestling him to the ground. He pinned him as Lupin savagely tried to bite at Ace, who turned to Harry, shouting "Run!" before throwing Lupin away into a tree and running after him.

Harry ran and Ace let out a breath before forgetting about it. He turned to Lupin, who lunged at him, biting at his shoulder.

Ace's scarf turned into a cloak and covered his body as Lupin bit down on it. Ace snorted and said "As much as I find Werewolves cool, I like to study at a distance." as he grabbed Lupin's neck, slamming him into the ground, adding "Sorry, Remus." before kicking him into a tree.

Lupin whined and shook his head, slowly getting up and staring at Ace as he paced around. Ace opened his hands as cards appeared, Lupin snarled and Ace saw Hermione and Harry in the corner of his eye, looking at him in shock.

Ace sighed to himself and focused on Lupin, waving at Hermione and Harry, signaling them to run. They turned around and left as Lupin charged at Ace, who frowned slightly, wondering how to approach this scenario.

He didn't want to hurt Lupin, but it was starting to look like he wasn't going to have a choice.

Ace pulled out a card and rolled to the side, taking the strength card off his chest. He bit on a card and slammed his palms on the ground, looking at Lupin as his eyes glew purple.

The ground under Lupin turned to water and Lupin fell in.

The water went right up to Lupin's neck and the area of water grew bigger as Ace threw the card at Lupin. It flew at him and stuck to his face, pressing him down as the water vibrated.

Lupin snarled and roared, trying to break free but it was almost impossible. This was the effect of the Moon card, increasing gravity! If applied to a being it will increase their gravity, if used in the air it will create a gravity bubble, pressing down.

Ace had to constantly use mana for this card to work or it would simply stop, so it was a bit draining. However, Ace turned the water into dirt again, locking Lupin in place as he let out a breath of relief.

His eyes dimmed and he sat in front of Lupin, reverting his cloak back to a scarf as he looked at Lupin, saying to himself, "No wonder there's very little information on werewolves… They're so strong!"

He pulled out his notebook and started writing as he detailed his experience and wrote down some of his conclusions. Magic resistant, increased endurance and strength, etc. As he was writing, he slowly used less and less mana for the Moon card, until the dirt started shaking and he rose the usage.

He looked at Lupin and put away the book, muttering "I really hope this night doesn't last too long…" as he took a meditation pose, crossing his legs as he settled his breathing, trying to recover a bit and prolong his mana usage.

Meanwhile, Lupin continued struggling desperately for hours.

As the sun rose, Dumbledore walked into the woods to see Ace meditating with Lupin stuck in the ground itself with a card on his head. He came over and asked "Long night, Ace?"

Ace opened his eyes and called back the Moon card, replying "Just a bit." he looked at Lupin and coughed, "Sorry, Remus…" Lupin cleared his throat and said "Well, it's not an issue… However, if I could come out…"

Ace scratched his head and chuckled.
