173 Trick 172: Happy Wife, Happy Life!

Ace was at the Ten Rings compound, sitting in a chair as Sharon was talking to Xialing, who was sitting there listening like a little sister. It was really strange. Ace thought Xialing was this kungfu master, turns out Sharon nearly beat her to death and took over the Ten Rings.

She put Xialing in charge of them as her subordinate and managed her affairs, changing the operations and modernizing the compound. Sharon checked her watch and said to Xialing in Mandarin "My people will bring in more equipment, you watch over the Ten Rings around the world and report to me every day. Otherwise…"

Sharon chuckled wordlessly, walking away, saying to a man next to her, "Keep an eye on her, we got more buyers that would pay a lot for Ten Rings information. I want this to be an information broker service, how are our associates in the Wizard world?"

The man looked at Ace and said "Um…" Sharon waved, "Don't worry about him. As long as you don't want to kill anyone, he won't do anything to you." The man swallowed and replied "Our people are taking over various bars and pubs, as well as bumping out other underground wizard black market dealers."

Sharon nodded and checked her watch, "I have a meeting in an hour, tell them to hurry up. I promised magic items to a few buyers, I will not tolerate late products." the man nodded, replying "Yes, Ma'am!"

Sharon waved him off and walked to Ace, smiling "I love my gift." Ace rolled his eyes and looked at her, saying "You promised no more killing." Sharon wiped her hands, smiling happily "Beating people up is fine, right?"

Ace looked at her and his mouth curled into a loving smile as he pulled her to his lap, tapping her nose, "I love your bad side." Sharon giggled happily and kissed him as wings spread out from Ace's back and they took off into the sky.

Xialing wiped the blood off her lips and the Sword arm guy asked "Are we gonna give in?" Xialing looked at him as though he was retarded, asking "Can you beat the Wizard?" The Sword guy was stunned and Xialing waved "Get out of here, Razorfist. We listen to the Power Broker until further notice… Besides, she's not directly interfering with businesses that come under us."

Razorfist looked troubled and retorted "Not yet." Xialling frowned and muttered "I'll talk with the wizard… Maybe he can get us some leniency…" Razorfist let out a breath and smiled "Alright, Boss." Xialing smirked and looked at the equipment, feeling happy that she's stepping up in the world.

From the Golden Daggers Club to the Ten Rings, although she was under the Power Broker's thumb now, it was indeed a step up!

Ace dropped off Sharon for her meeting and went home, putting the Dragon Thing into a case, letting it free from the crystal. This would be a test.

Ace applied his strongest runes and enchantments to the case, letting the Dragon thing run around inside as a living artifact.

Ace looked at it and smiled "Cool!" before rubbing it, passing his hands through the case, stroking it and playing with it as it tried to bite him. He chuckled and left it alone after a bit, sorting out all the things he got from his trip to Ta Lo.

He received a bunch of things that could make himself a bit stronger and so that's what he did.

A few months passed just like that.

Ace worked on artifacts while taking breaks, spending time with Sharon and the Kids, he quite enjoyed staying with them. It was much more relaxing and fun than sitting on a Throne in his Realm ordering people around.

When he was done, he came to Sharon, covering her eyes from behind, saying "Guess who!"

Sharon grabbed his hands, saying "The neighbor? My husband's away!" Ace smacked her head and said badly "What neighbor?! I'll send him to the V.I.P punishment!" Sharon turned around and rubbed her head, giggling, "What is it, Honey? I'm working."

Ace crossed his arms and said childishly "Well now I don't wanna show you! Hmph!" Sharon chuckled and kissed him, "Better?" Ace pursed his lips and clapped his hands, saying "Idiots!"

Jack and Margaret tumbled down the stairs, running over, "Yeah?!" Sharon's lips twitched and she looked at them, asking "You come to 'idiots'?" Jack and Margaret froze, laughing awkwardly…

Ace chuckled and waved, "Come sit down. I have something for you all." Jack and Margaret ran over and sat down.

Ace slapped the table, pulling his hand up as a stack of boxes appeared. He closed his hand and they disappeared, he pulled out boxes from their ears, saying "Here you go." Sharon rolled her eyes and held the box, looking at him in amusement.

Jack and Margaret opened their wooden boxes happily, saying "Oh wow!" pulling out a black and white hoodie respectively with two masks.

One was a black frowning face and the other was a white smiling face.

The masks shimmered and the kids put on the things, giggling.

Sharon rolled her eyes and opened her box, gasping as she looked up at Ace, who smiled gently.

Sharon pulled out a pitch black trench coat, holding it up as she smiled "It's beautiful!" Ace explained "It's also made from Chinese Dragon Scales, Phoenix and Golden Crow Feathers, Nine Tailed Fox Fur, along with skin from all of them. Even if you get hit with a bazooka, you'll be unharmed. Open the rest!"

Sharon folded the trench coat and looked at him in amusement as she put it on the table, then she pulled out a shimmering red dress, pursing her lips, asking "Dragon Scales?" Ace coughed and said "Um. Yes!"

Sharon rolled her eyes and put it aside before pulling out a beautiful necklace with a purple gemstone, held in a mix of two woods. She touched her neck before looking at him as Ace explained "I had to take it and incorporate it…"

Ace took the necklace and put it around Sharon's neck as she pulled out a pistol. She looked at Ace, who said "You ever heard of a railgun?" Sharon froze and Ace chuckled, scratching his neck as he swallowed, "Probably faster than that…"

She put the gun to the side, saying "You're ridiculous…" before asking "Is there more?" Ace tapped the box and Sharon covered it, glaring at Ace, who chuckled. She cleared her throat and said "Time to sleep, my darlings." Jack and Margaret looked over and groaned.

Sharon looked at the smiling and frowning faces, saying "Sleep!" they sighed and walked away sadly. Ace watched them go and said "There's another gift in your rooms!" The duo paused and ran up the stairs quickly, fighting over who got there first.

Sharon uncovered the box, revealing a really skimpy 'sleepwear'. She blushed and glared at him as he laughed, "I'm kidding… unless?" Sharon swung at him, saying angrily "Later!"

Ace's eyes lit up like fireworks, "REALLY!?" She snorted gently and nodded, booking away as she blushed, "Loser!" Ace pulled her into his lap and giggled, teasing her before saying "There is something else." as he grabbed the air.

A white mask with an extremely exaggerated smile and no eyes.

He held it over his face and asked, his voice warping from all sorts of tones, distorted but legible, "Like it?" Sharon tilted the mask to the side, saying "A bit creepy." Ace smiled and replied "I figured, the Power Broker should be scary, right? It's also almost indestructible." he tossed it into the air and pulled the pistol in Sharon's hands, shooting it at.

The mask flew across the room and stabbed into the wall, smoking but without a mark.

Ace waved the pistol and smiled "Also- Bullet free and silent!" Sharon's eyes sparkled, adding "No recoil!" as she hugged the pistol, leaning on him, smiling "I love it. I love everything."

Ace hugged her and pulled the air, the mask shooting back as he chuckled "You can even use it like Steve's Shield!" as he tossed it out, the mask bouncing around before coming back to Ace's hand.

Sharon rolled her eyes and grabbed the mask, joking "Yeah! I can't wait! Call me Captain Carter!" Ace laughed and she shivered, giggling "Ew! Goosebumps!" Ace kissed her head and hugged her tightly, saying softly as he played with her hand, "It's a dangerous life, Sharon…"

Sharon intertwined her fingers with his, leaning on his head with her own, "I know." He smiled slightly, "I just want you to be safe… Where does this end? When you rule the entire world?" She fell silent for a moment, replying softly "I don't know." he sighed and smiled, "I'm with you till the end of the line."

She smiled gratefully, kissing his cheek, "I know." he smiled and stroked the back of her hand with his thumb, adding "I just don't want to have the Avengers come after you." she snorted gently, asking "Who would you pick?"

Ace looked at her and replied "You. It's always you. You know that." she smiled happily, saying "I won't make you choose, don't worry." Ace sighed and knocked his forehead with hers gently, "I love you, Sharon. You don't have to change for me."

She let go of his hand and held his face, replying in a soft and loving voice "But I will, especially because you love me." He looked into her eyes and kissed her, pulling on her waist.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and they fell backwards, appearing in a bed…
